About the property

Studio With Loft Just 3 Miles From Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

Charming stand-alone studio in a very private, peaceful and secluded location. Just three miles from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and six miles from the Volcano Golf Course and Volcano Winery, you can enjoy the native birds who seranade you amongst the fern forest. Our studio provides you with a Queen-sized bed, loft, kitchenette, bathroom/shower, skylights and radiant heating. There is a picnic table in the carport and private covered parking. Just 30 minutes from Hilo, you can enjoy the beaches and waterfalls and all Hilo town has to offer and then get away to the serenity of Volcano and spend your nights in the cooler temperatures and see the glow of the Volcano. From Kona, it's about a two-hour drive, but very pretty and lots to see in between. About 30 minutes South of Volcano, is the beautiful black sand Punaluu Beach. Volcano Village, only 2 miles away, has a number of restaurants (menus at the house), a post office, convenience store, and a few other little stores. This Village is also known for it's artist studios sprinkled all throughout town. On Sunday mornings, there is a farmer's market in the village.

Loveley little spot just outside of Volcane Village and the National Park

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our four night stay at the studio. Although the cottage is small, it is well laid out and had all the necessities, including a decent-sized fridge. We cooked outside on the covered patio on the two-burner propane stove. Location was was very quiet and secluded with lots of vegetation (although a few times neighborhood dogs got into barking sessions). Great place to explore Hawaii Volcanos National Park.

Clean and private

  • 5 of 5

This gem of a getaway near Volcano National Park is perfect for 2 people. I wasn't sure from the photos if it would be possible to cook meals in the kitchen other than using the microwave. However we found a 2 burner gas range located outside in the carport that allowed us to make meals and save money by not eating out.

The kitchen has everything you need - dishes, silverware, pots and pans. You'll be taking showers in the softest water possible - rainwater ! If your stay is during a cool period the cottage is heated with in floor radiant heat.

Quiet, clean, and very private thanks to dense vegetation all around. My wife and I would highly recommend this rental to anyone wanting to spend extra time exploring Volcano National Park .

capsule of peace and quiet in lush tropical setting

  • 5 of 5

We found this house to be a perfect fit for us, so perfect in fact that I found my husband measuring up the floor plan on the last day... There is everything that you need and nothing more. Clean, simple and a great location a few minutes from the Volcano park gate.

Cute and convenient!

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights. We loved the convenience of being close to Volcano National Park. It was easy to go for a hike during the day, come back for a nap. and then go back for dinner at Volcano House and view the lava at night. The place had everything we needed including an assortment of spices in the kitchen and shampoos and soaps in the bathroom. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you for a lovely stay. We hope to come back!
