My wife and I checked into this small condo based on the description and pictures provided on the VRBO site as shown above. In its description, they list the property to have a “modern kitchen.” The kitchen has hand brush painted cabinets and a Formica countertops. The cupboards are full of the owners “personal” items and very unkept/disorganized. The fridge and dishwasher appear to be newer but the stove was an older electric unit. The unit itself was furnished with older furniture and reflected decor from the 70’s. Some decorative items still had price stickers on them from a garage sale or refurbish home decorating store. The flooring is old LVP and they never replaced any baseboards throughout the condo. There are many “full length wall mirrors” which are deceiving in the pictures as to the true sizes of the rooms. The single/small bathroom consisted of a single vanity with Formica top and again, a hand brushed cabinet. The original bathtub had been replaced with a tiled shower unit. The first morning of our stay, we killed a cockroach in the shower. We immediately contacted the host about all of our concerns. They responded that the picture of the cockroach was simply a “water bug” that is common for Palm Springs. (Google certainly differs in its description of a cockroach vs a Waterbug.) VRBO listed the bed as “a cozy retreat with a plush bed.” The mattress had concave features on each side with an elevated lump in the middle. Not a “plush” bed as advertised.
