About Anne

We built this as our home in 2010. We have severe allergies to pets and smoke. No pets or smoking allowed ! This is our dream home and we enjoy sharing it with people that appreciate it as much as we do.

Anne purchased this chalet in 2010

Why Anne chose Poconos

Secluded, very private 17 acre mountain property with no other houses in view from our two large decks but still close to all summer and winter sports. Big Boulder and Jack Frost ski areas are just minutes away. Half hour drive to 100 store outlet mall. Swimming at Hickory Run State Park or Beltzville State Park or the indoor water park at Lake Harmony. Only 2 miles from white water rafting, scrimmage paint ball and mountain biking for summer fun. All mountain attractions nearby. Near the quaint town of Jim Thorpe with train rides and many tourist attractions. All this and still easy access from New York City and Philadelphia. Only 1 1/4 miles from Pennsylvania Turnpike exit and 10 miles from Interstate I-80 exit.

What makes this chalet unique

Stocked pond with rainbow trout (catch and release) by the picnic area with two picnic tables, a gas grille, charcoal grille and a large fire pit, wood provided. There is a bridge over the waterfall near the hiking trails along the 1000 feet of flowing trout stream. Find the 3 secluded resting benches as you explore the rustic trails by the stream. See the tree that grows horizontal rather than vertical. Sit on the dock in the pond and enjoy an afternoon beverage or row the small rowboat around the pond. Or just relax and enjoy the view from one of the two 12 x 40 foot decks. Get away from the city and relax in the mountain air.

An amazing retreat

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 12 adults were in PA for a funeral. This beautiful home was an amazing oasis for us. And the fire pit in the evening was absolutely wonderful. We shared stories, laughter, and the joy of family while listening to the crackling fire and the water rushing over the falls at the edge of the lake.

The interior of the house was immaculate, well equipped, and very roomy for our group. We loved it and talked about returning in happier times for a reunion here.

This property is absolutely spectacular!

  • 5 of 5

I rented the property for me and my family for my recent graduation. The property will literally take your breath away. We were 10 people and the house was perfect for us. The house is well maintained and fully stocked. I have rented other places for me and my family. They all said I knocked this one out of the park. We are already talking about renting it in the fall and making it a yearly Memorial Day Weekend get away.

A unique oasis secluded in the Poconos yet convenient to attractions.

  • 5 of 5

We rented this property for a weekend getaway for a family gathering and enjoyed the experience so much. The house is a beautiful chalet style home that has many high-end features and technology that you almost forget your secluded...until you step outside. The grounds are the real beauty to this property. We enjoyed the pond with the row boat, the tiered landscaping, the fire pit, the expansive deck and, of course, the trails along the stream. We will return again in the fall.

Amazing property, Awesome house!

  • 5 of 5

We had an awesome trip! The house was very nice! Two big decks off the back of the house with an amazing view of the pond and creek that runs behind the house! We spent a weekend there for my friends bachelor party, although it rained all day Saturday we still had a great time! The owners were great, although it rained for the majority of our trip they allowed us to stay later Sunday so we could try and get some fishing in before we had to leave, at no additional cost! We definitely want to make a trip back to this house again! Sometimes these reviews can seem misleading because they can sounds to good to be true or some people may not be able to appreciate this property but I can honestly tell you in my experience we had an amazing trip here, we fished(in the rain for the most part) and even walked some of the trails that run through the property, and its nice for the fact that while you're staying here you feel like you're in the middle of no where but within a short trip there are some restaurants and things to do close by! And there are nieghbors living close by but when your in the back by the pond you would never know it! Again a really great property and house! The owners were great with communication before and during the trip! I highly recommend if you want to get away and truly detatch for the day to day stress stay at this house!

Amazing house and property!

  • 5 of 5

We rented the house to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday, it easily fit our whole family. The house was super clean and the property was amazing! It had everything we needed! The description is spot on to the expectations of the house! We would definitely like to rent this house again! Thanks so much Ralph and Anne!

Beautiful Home! Awesome Location!

  • 5 of 5

For the past 4 years, our family goes snow tubing at Blue Mountain for our Family Winter Weekend. It's always a challenge to find a home large enough to accommodate 6 adults and 4 grandchildren in an "outdoor" setting. This home fit the bill perfectly! With 3 full bathrooms, no one was ever waiting. Sleeping accommodations where no one was on top of each other, with lots of room to spread out!

Outside, the kids enjoyed sledding, a hike, and this "big" kid just soaked up the serenity!

Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay! Talking about a possible stay in the summer to enjoy the outdoors!!
