About the property

Two bedroom, two bath sleeps 6 with mountain views

Casa Parque is a beautiful casita in an idyllic setting, 10 minutes from the Santa Fe Plaza, both far enough and near enough to the city to be just perfect. Set in an attractive development of the Tesuque foothills two miles above Tesuque Village, 5 minutes from the acclaimed Santa Fe Opera. Across from the entrance to the development is the lovely Four Seasons Luxury Resort - Rancho Encantado. The casita has the charm of the classic Santa Fe style with transformed kitchen and baths. It is wonderfully comfortable in all seasons, with delightful patios to enjoy in the warmer months and kiva coziness when the weather turns cooler. From the spacious patio take in the gorgeous views of the high desert hills and beautiful mountains (Santa Fe Baldy in view) and an incredible night-time sky! Beauty and serenity abounds while being minutes away from restaurants, galleries, shopping and plenty of outdoor activities.

About Buzz Park

My husband and I were born and raised in the southwest. Buzz in fact was Born right up the road from our casita in Los Alamos! We currently live in a Mexican Hacienda 30 miles north of San Antonio Texas.

Buzz Park purchased this condo in 2013

Why Buzz Park chose New Mexico

Santa Fe has been our most favorite place to visit and have dreamed of owning a home there for more than 40 years. Our dream has become a reality! We love this place.

What makes this condo unique

Casa Parque has recently been updated to include radiant floor heating in both baths. You never have to step onto cold tile which adds to the comfort and coziness of our casita. We love all the windows in the living room and master bedroom - the views are amazing. There are also numerous skylights providing lots of natural light. The kitchen is fantastic and overlooks the living area so you never feel separated from any activities while you're preparing meals.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Greetings Buzz,

On behalf of all four women, I would like to say thank you for the opportunity to stay in your lovely Santa Fe home!

We truly delighted in the quiet, peaceful setting...with the Four Seasons indulgences only a short walk away:). Your home is beautiful and we appreciated it's many offerings, comforts and cleanliness!

Your hospitality came shining through both in print, and on the phone!

Thank you very much! We indeed hope to return someday!

Best regards,

Barbara Sheehan

Casa Tesuque is located just 10 minutes from the historic Santa Fe plaza. Shops, galleries and museums abound in the downtown area. Some fun things to do:

Have tapas (call it dinner) at El Farol (upscale restaurant). Go in the evening when they have flaminco dancers. Say hello to Russell Crowe. You will almost always see “Hollywood” here.

Go to Casa Sena for dinner and enjoy the singing waiters AND super food.

Walk through Canyon Road and visit amazing art galleries.

Go shopping at the Tesuque Flea Market and/or Jackalope (Especially Jackalope.)

Go to the Georgia O'Keefe museum and eat at her cafe next door.

Take the 'tourist tram' to get an overview of the city and awesome architecture.

Go to the Plaza and people watch, smile and talk and visit the Five and Dime store. You will not believe the fun stuff (inexpensive) located here.

Walk the ski area.

Drive up to Bandelier and check out the Indian ruins. Enjoy the hiking as well as the sights!

Continue from Bandelier up to Los Alamos to visit site of nuclear bomb building. (Be sure while in downtown Santa Fe to have a picture in front of door #109 on Palace Ave. The story is that as Los Alamos became the center to build or plan an atomic bomb, the special scientists went in door 109 on the plaza and went out the back. The Indians were spooked as they never saw anyone leave!) You can see 109 on the plaza and have your picture taken in front of the door. The children born at Los Alamos before 1947 have birth certificates with a SANTA FE post office box listed as the address of birth! Spend a whole day at Los Alamos. The videos, the ambience…. It is worth the day!

Great as usual!

  • 5 of 5

This was our third time staying here and it continues to be just fantastic! Buzz and Karen have done such a great job with this property. Always clean, well decorated and has all the amenities you need to just settle in and enjoy Santa Fe and northern New Mexico.

Highly, highly recommend this property to anyone.

Overall, great place in wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed out stay. Charming, comfortable condo with a gorgeous kitchen and everything you'd need. The patio has wonderful mountain views, and the location just outside Santa Fe was great. Having a pool is a definite plus and not easy to find around Santa Fe. Two minor notes: the internet is slow (but I think this is an issue in the entire complex, not just this condo). And one of the two bathrooms has a whirlpool tub which is great, but using the shower in that bathroom is actually a bit of a hassle, enough so that our group of three tended to all shower in the other bathroom. Not the biggest deal, but might be with a larger group. But these minor issues were definitely outweighed by the positives.

Owner's Response: Good news...faster internet has finally come to Pueblo Encantado and was installed Aug. 8th. The problem of the shower design we inherited from the former owner has been minimized with the placement of "dams"at the tub edge to keep water inside shower. These are placed by housekeeping before the arrival of each guest.

Loved it!

My family of six enjoyed our stay very much. Beautiful location with access to an outdoor pool. Lots of privacy but not far from rafting, casino, and the plaza.

Can't get better than your own private retreat!

  • 5 of 5

Upscale is the right adjective for this place. Right across the street from the Four Seasons Resort, this place provided the perfect spot for a quick escape to outdoor adventures. Two couples, two bedrooms, an outfitted kitchen, and space to spread out with our electronics. :) A fireplace warmed the evenings, and the stars were brilliant in the sky! Easy access to downtown Santa Fe. Close to Santa Fe airport too. Looking forward to returning.

Not what we expected

  • 2 of 5

There were no supplies, could not take a shower in 2nd bedroom area. Water ran in floor. Lights went out in that part of house and we couldn't get them back on. No supplies....way too much money for what we got. It could have been a better experience if shower worked, lights worked and we had adequate supplies.

Owner's Response: In four years of renting our condo this is the first low review we have ever received. The others are all four and five star. The instructions were sent concerning the shower and obviously were not followed. As far as supplies we received a phone call from a relative after-the-fact (2 weeks) stating that there was no coffee. We have never provided coffee for any of our guests in the past four years. No one has ever complained about this before. The reservation was for two adults but according to our house keeper more people stayed there during one of the two nights. With that many people staying and the air conditioner turned down real low and multiple appliances being used, probably a power surge took place. In the past whenever there has been an issue we have received a phone call from the guest and have taken care of it immediately. We have a housekeeper right next-door who is able to provide any necessary help. Having rented our place for over four years and receiving nothing but top reviews it's disappointing that you had a bad experience staying in our place because no one else has. Perhaps if we had been made aware of the additional people staying there, we could've made better preparation. We have always gone out of her way to make sure our guests have a great guest experience and will continue to do so. Owners Buzz & Karen Park
