Welcome to Three Acorns Cabin! Our secluded two story home offers cozy common areas as well as three private bedrooms each with an attached bathroom and a sleeping loft perfect for kids to have their own space. The best part of the cabin is yet to be discovered outside. It has a large wrap around porch with rocking chairs, a private hot tub in the back and a screened in porch in the front which is a great place to wind down at the end of day and take in the nature all around. The primary bedroom with King size bed is also located on the first level with private in-suite featuring a large jacuzzi tub and shower. Also located on the first level is a half bath and laundry/mud room. The second floor features two bedrooms with queen size beds, each with bathrooms attached. Both rooms have private serene views of the woods adding to the tranquilness of the area. There is also a sleeping loft with trundle day bed and bunkbed to accommodate four more guest. The loft has a vast library, games and puzzles also a comfy chair to cozy up and enjoy some reading time. The loft shares a jack and Jill bathroom with one of the upstairs bedrooms.

Please note that this home has an exterior security camera. Also, 4-wheel drive is necessary to enter community and driveway during bad winter weather.

This place was great. Very clean, perfect settings in the woods, really felt like we were way out but was close to everything. Also provided wood for fires, only places I have stayed at in DC that did that. Great place, recommend for everyone. Gail is also a great person, goes above and beyond d beyond to help!!!

Very nice place! Lots of wildlife. Hot tub was a plus with my son. Close to lake & different fishing spots. Lots of restaurants & stores nearby. Would definitely stay here again.

We’ve stayed at 9 different properties in DCL over the years; this is one I would definitely recommend to friends and stay in again myself. Super clean, breezy check in and check out, great communication, and a perfect set up for our kids and their friends. The hot tub is great, and we appreciated the central location for McHenry and Oakland adventures.

Gail was an incredible host. Her communication was amazing and quick! The house was perfect and exactly as the picture showed. The house was spacious and the beds comfortable! We found it to be clean and had everything we needed. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to anyone in the area!

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. The check in process was easy. The host reached out shortly after checkin to make sure everything was OK. The property is so much more than the pictures show. The front porch is perfect for sipping coffee in the morning and watching the deer cross through the yard. The house was well stocked, complete with coffee bar. The house was clean and welcoming, right down to the soft, thick towels in the bathrooms. There was plenty of wood for both the fire pit and fireplace. The property gives you the feeling of being in a secluded cabin in the woods but is just minutes from everything. I will most definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this home. The host is so nice and helpful! It’s very cozy, well-equipped, and thoughtfully set up, with great touches throughout, especially in the kitchen and bathrooms. The new hot tub was a highlight and made the stay even more enjoyable. The location is also very central and convenient. Overall, it was a comfortable and relaxing experience, and we would gladly stay here again.

The house was well appointed with everything you could need to comfortably stay for a week or more. The house had a lot of space, and an enormous hot tub and jacuzzi tub. The host was a frequent and timely communicator and provided recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Do yourself a favor and go to Deep Creek Donuts and Pawn Run. We were only visiting for a short weekend, so didn’t have time to try many of the recommendations, so we will be back. We had a quiet, relaxing stay and think a fall visit would be spectacular.

We spend 4 nights at this property and we were continually surprised at how well set up the entire property was. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possible need, there were binders full of information about the property and the lake area in general. My husband and I were in the primary suite and the king sized bed was the most comfortable bed ive slept on in my life. I'd love to know what the brand/model is to get for my own home.The large dining table was great for not only meals, but also for playing board games. The wrap around porch was one of my favorite features. Sitting on the porch at night and listening to nature was very peaceful.There was a family of 3 deer that we saw around the property multiple times over the 4 nights. And on my first morning I was sitting on the cozy couch crocheting waiting for the rest of my group to wake up and I saw a black bear mosey past the window. That was pretty amazing. The hot tub is relaxing feature that we enjoyed multiple times. Thank you for creating a welcoming, peaceful and cozy space for those looking for a getaway.
