Thank you, Bill, for your review of your recent stay at Deja Vu at Carillon. Our team is committed to making sure our guests have positive beach memories for years to come, and we look forward to the opportunity to serve you again on your next trip to the beach with ResortQuest.
DejaVu is perfectly located directly on the beach! Two beachfront porches to enjoy the view and easy walk out to your beach set up! Chairs included are an added plus. Upon arrival house was very clean! We have been visiting Carillon for several years and this location is great! Parking can be a bit tight due to location at the end of the street however, garage parking helped for one of our vehicles. Beautiful memories were made during our stay! Thank you for sharing your home!

Breathtaking views
This is a gorgeous beach home right on the sand. Our family loved staying here. There was plenty of room for a family of 6. The only negatives are nothing bad -- the mattresses were all a little too hard for our taste, but nothing a thick cushy mattress topper can't fix. And, the outside lights (spot lights) were not working, but I'm guessing it was just the bulbs (which we couldn't reach). Again, nothing major and everything else was wonderful.
Needed a few house keeping items. Bathroom door handle kept coming off. Refrigerator freezer door come off. Couldn’t open downstairs doors for fresh air. Great location
Though. Very clean. Furniture was aging

We appreciate the feedback regarding the Deja Vu where you recently spent time on vacation. We are glad to hear that your beach experience was an enjoyable one.
We look forward to you staying again and hope you will consider ResortQuest to provide your accommodation needs.
We have stayed at this property several times. Since our last visit, they added a new house next door with VERY BRIGHT security lights that shine in the master bedroom. It was tough to sleep with them shining all night long. I recommend getting black out blinds of some sort. Also, we had to purchase propane for the grill which was an unexpected expense, but all in all, it's a GREAT PLACE!!

Hi Diane, thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay with us! We are delighted to hear you had a great experience. We have passed along your valuable feedback to our local team regarding the security lights. We would have loved to bring you a propane tank for the grill had you reached out but we understand that you were simply trying to enjoy your vacation and may not have wanted to call us while relaxing. We hope to host you again soon and provide another amazing vacation experience!
Great location right on the beach and the community is nice. Very dated furniture, fixtures, back slider door desperately needs fixing (super hard to close once open), Vacasa gave us incorrect keys upon arrival. Not enough trash bags or paper towels so bring your own dishwasher detergents and paper goods. Envious of neighbors on either side nice outdoor furniture, ours was plastic and dated. Again good week, but house needs updating.

We value your input and will work with both our local staff and homeowner to make improvements to this home. We hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!
This was a wonderful vacation for our family, we would definitely stay there again. Carillon beach is a very nice community. The property looked better in person than in the pictures and the view was amazing. Water was not as blue/green as we are accustom to but I think that had to do with the hurricane that came through a couple weeks prior. Our only complaints would be there were no extra blankets (probably due to COVID), there weren’t many trash bags or toilet paper either. Perhaps that’s normal. They could also update their amenities listing as we ended up bringing several things that they ended up having (pack and play, tent, etc).
Wonderful stay at Carillon! The house was very clean and contained all things needed for a beautiful vacation. The garage is well stocked with plenty of items for use at the beach. The kitchen contained everything we needed to cook our meals. The house was very clean. My only complaint would be regarding the washer. It is completely off balanced and our handy grandfather couldnt even get it leveled, so the washer would almost crawl out of the closet upstairs when used. It needs some serious attention! However, Would def stay here again!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
Great if you like to hear power tools all day.
Very, very disappointed about the experience while staying at the home. The property next door was being renovated and there was no warning given for this. We drove 10 hours and paid a LOT of money to have a private home and beach. The deck next door was about 10 feet away so we got to enjoy constant saws, sanders, and workers singing/talking loudly along with our beach view.
The home and beach itself were lovely. The property manager or home owner should at least let renters know that there is construction going on VERY close by.
We loved the floor plan of this house. It gave everyone privacy. I really appreciated the special touches that the homeowner left for guests like extra hooks for wet swimsuits, plenty of books for reading on the beach and board games for evenings. The instructions on how to use the remote was especially thoughtful. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of dishes and pots and pans. We did have trouble with the sliding door not opening and the drains in the showers draining very slow. I called maintenance and they came out and did their best to get things working for the week. The only real complaint is the parking. With the new large home next door, we only had room for two vehicles and it was extremely tight getting into the driveway. I know the homeowners may not be aware that this is happening since it depends on how many people are at the house next door but they may want to mention it to their HOA . We could not park in front of the house the entire time we were here. But the house and view are beautiful and you are so close to the ocean! We loved it.
We stayed here as a family of four (with a teen and tween) for a week in peak June. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend it—with a few caveats.Pros:Incredible location—right on the beach with beautiful viewsOutdoor shower for rinsing off sandAccess to community poolsGarage full of bikes, boogie boards, and beach toysWell-equipped kitchen (Keurig, Crock-Pot, etc.)3 full bathroomsWalkable to a cute area with a coffee shop, wine bar, snack shop, beach store, and pizza placeCons:TV is very outdated; while it has Apple TV, the picture is poor and the remote is confusing. Updating to a simple smart TV would solve this issue. Mattresses are extremely firm—none were comfortable, which was disappointing given the 900/night priceOriginal outlets don't hold chargersVery few blankets; pillows were flat with only 4 per roomNo keypad entry—uses an old-fashioned key lockVacasa (management):Check-in was easy, and they followed up shortly after arrival to ask about cleanliness. I mentioned the primary bed sheets looked dirty or stained and sent a photo—they thanked me but didn’t offer a solution. Also, late checkout must be requested by 4:00pm the day before departure. When our morning flight was canceled, they wouldn’t allow even a short extension—no flexibility.Summary:A beautiful, well-located beach house that’s stocked with extras and has lots of potential. For 900/night, we expected better comfort, but still had a lovely stay overall.
Let me start by saying you simply can't argue the beachfront location of this house and therefore the key rationalization for staying here. However, my standards and expectations in return are very high for this type of stay. My expectations would be for an impeccably cleaned home, with curated linens, a top condition grill, and excellent services as part of that, which seemed meh. Not that the services were shabby and the Vacasa personnel, and on property merchants were very nice, its just that by comparison, we could choose to go to the Caribbean, or even the South of France for comparable spend. In the end, the house location is amazing, the amenities are nice, but I would expect to have all expectations mentioned earlier, and to not have to deal with rowdy partiers across the street, tepid and semi clean pool water, home construction awakening me each morning across the street during my stay, and for the house to be equipped to the highest standards while being sparklingly cleaned. These were fair to middling in my opinion. Would I stay here again, the answer is yes, but only if those aforementioned issues were addressed to provide the value I desire for my stay, but if the market dictates a certain economic, then I find no fault in the owners charging such, as I obviously willingly paid it.
Thanks,
David
