Relax and enjoy the gentle sea breeze and the pleasant surroundings in a safe and secure, private 24-hour gated community.

We have beautiful gulf views where you can hear the waves and see the water from our 2nd and 3rd floor balconies. Our property is located on Beachside Drive, as close to beachfront without being on the beach! We are less than 50 steps to the nearest dune walkover and the white, sugary sands --- just 2 houses away!!!

Exterior completely redone, new decks, new interior paint, and refinished hardwood floors throughout.

It is not collected as part of your VRBO booking.

Many activities for the family Our only complaint was that the 3rd level Crows Nest was very warm as there is no acup there.it was shot week but uncomfortable up there. Property and house were as good as it gets. The neighborhood was safe and secure. House was clean and very functional for our family. Everything worked as it should. I could tell the owners put a lot of thought into the and contents. We never said I wish we had this once. It was only a 45 second walk to the beach. Tons for kids to do in the development. We have actually already booked it again for Summer. Can’t go wrong with this property!! Highly recommend.

We’ve vacationed at Carillon four times, each time staying in a different house — and this one was by far the best! The location is perfect, and the home had more than enough space for our family of five. It was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for a relaxing stay. The owners were incredibly responsive and made everything easy. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Vacation

We had a great time at A Glimpse of Heaven! Everything was exactly as described in the listing. The house was very clean, the kitchen stocked, and all beds and furniture was extremely comfortable. I loved reading on the porch every day. We were very appreciative of the beach chairs/umbrellas that are included--definitely a major perk used daily!! My son also very much enjoyed the boogie board and sand toys. We were grateful for the heated pool since our last two days were colder and red flags due to wind. We visited the coffee shops on site a few times, and purchased pickleball paddles/balls at the gift shop. I loved running in the community each morning; it's a very walkable and friendly community. One thing we quickly learned was that there was limited hot water. Back to back showers didn't work for us, so we learned to plan accordingly. Overall, we had a wonderful Spring Break. Thank you for hosting us!

Hidden Gem! We will return!

WOW, what a beautiful, peaceful, quiet place we found at Carillon! This community is so charming and has just enough amenities to enjoy. It was the perfect balance of relaxation and things to do for our family of 4, and I liked that it wasn't super crowded like so many of the other communities on 30A. The house was truly perfect for us. We loved all the beach decor, tons of natural light and how close it was to the beach walkover. When the water was too cold, we strolled for shells, built sandcastles and played games. We also brought our own pickleball gear to play one particularly cold spring morning. The house was well stocked with boogie boards, tons of sand toys, frisbees, etc. And having the luxury beach chair set up included was icing on the cake. We truly loved this house and Carillon and hope to come back in 2026!

Would stay here again!

This house was excellent. The space was perfect for our two teenagers who like lots of room. Has a well equipped kitchen and spacious living area. Proximity to beach access was great. Owners are really nice and kept us informed. Love this area of Florida and would definitely stay at this house again.

This was a great property in a beautiful community! None of the Walton County crowds, just a very quiet, peaceful beautiful community. The beach was equally beautiful and no crowds! Loved the 2 beach setups that were included. We will be coming back for sure!

Great family vacay

We loved our time in Carillon and in this house. It was perfect for our family of five with close access to the beach and pool. The layout of the house with bedrooms on each floor was great for us and our daughter loved staying up in the crow’s nest room. The owners were very kind and communicative throughout the stay. We will definitely look to stay here again in the future.

Great Location

My family and I had a great, restful, stress-free stay. One of the best overall homes we’ve stayed in along 30A. The property had everything we needed. The location was perfect. The beach wasn’t over-crowded and the 4 beach chairs included were a plus. It’s hard to beat Carillon and a Glimpse of Heaven!!

Hi! We are the Thomas Family...Bob and Vicki Thomas, along with 2 adult daughters. We live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. We have always dreamed of owning a second home near water, a place where we can escape from our busy lives back in Texas, and R-E-L-A-X!!!

We fell in love with the Emerald Coast of Florida with its beautiful white, sugary sand beaches and clear, refreshing waters plus the nearby lakes. We could not have asked for more. We are very fortunate and blessed to have found our beach house in Carillon.

We are very excited about building lasting family memories and to be able to share our beach home with others. We hope that you will be able to build your own lasting memories with your family and friends too.

After staying at different locations and visiting several communities along Scenic Highway 30-A , we discovered Carillon in 2014. We love the casual, costal living of what we now call 'A Glimpse of Heaven'. It is the perfect size for us and our extended family and friends, with a convenient downstairs 1st floor bedroom and bath for our parents, numerous porches providing additional space to spread out, where we can hear the waves and experience an awesome view of the beach without actually being beachfront property.

The charming feel of the community including the Beach Club Pool that overlooks Carillon's private beach. Plus there are 2 additional pools, a gated entrance providing safe, secure and quiet streets where you and the kids can ride bikes, golf carts and play outside.

The location of 'A Glimpse of Heaven' is a short distance (less than 50 steps) to the nearest dune walkover. The beach is QUIET, not to mention beautiful! Nearby Carillon Lake, Powell Lake and Camp Helen State Park, offer freshwater fishing, paddle boards, boating or skiing. It is more than we could have asked for!

All the homes in Carillon include features like shaded porches that capture the gulf breezes and high-ceilings that create airy rooms full of light. Each home is custom designed by an approved, licensed architect and constructed by an approved, licensed builder. Even though the overall character of the community has been maintained with strict guidelines and quality control, there are no two homes alike in Carillon.

Both homes and amenities in Carillon contribute to weaving a fine community fabric that is functional while being aesthetically pleasing to the eye. It is a place where family, neighbors and friends can enjoy the environment and each other, while feeling safe and having a true sense of community. In a word… it is home.

We were drawn to our beach house because of its comfy, casual coastal interior, perfect floor plan, proximity to a private beach consisting of approximately 104 acres and nearly a mile of white, sugary sand.

Lloyd Vogt, a renowned architect from New Orleans, was engaged to develop our town plan. Lloyd's love of historical preservation coupled with his knowledge of traditional urbanism formed the look and feel of what Carillon is today. He knew the plan needed to recognize that a community beside the seashore has different requirements from a typical town layout. It was important that the towns arrangement make the beach accessible both physically and visually. The features and their placement emphasized a sense of community, and were planned to encourage pedestrian, bike, and cart traffic.

● Lake Carillon is a 13-acre freshwater lake. The lake is brimming with local flora and fauna including lily pads, bass, and turtles, as well as an important stopping-off point for migrating ducks and other birds.
● Carillon Bell Tower is the center of our community, and all of the roads in Carillon lead to Bell Tower Circle. The Bell Tower contains 35 bells, and it chimes on the hour during the day. It was recently renovated too!

It was important that all homes within Carillon be unique, but also share a similar nature that would become the Carillon style. Along with the masterplan for the community, Lloyd Vogt also developed the architectural guidelines for home design and construction.
