Very relaxing to sit outside on the river and watch the boats go by. The cottage was clean and had a low key, relaxed feel. Working with the host was easy and pleasant. We brought our dog & he was very happy, too.

Regina and her family(dog included) were wonderful guests. Regina was very prompt about responding to messages. She was kind and followed house rules. I would welcome Regina and her family back anytime.
Thank you for the great review. I am so glad you all enjoyed your stay.
This place was so cute and perfect. Jessica and Wayne could not have been more accommodating, nice, caring people. From all the pamphlets on local businesses, restaurants, and things to do, to the welcoming gift card to Dutch oven bakery, which was amazing. Their knowledge of the surroundings was spectacular. Made us feel like kindred spirits and we can't wait to go back. Thank you Jessica and Wayne.P.s. I forgot to sign the guess book, but that was also nice to see everyone's reviews.Pat & Jen T 8/12-16/2026

About the host
Hosted by Jessica McPhall
I am originally from Harbor Springs, but now reside in Alanson with my Husband, family and dog. I enjoy boating, fishing, kayaking, picture taking, reading, and bowling; just to name a few.
My husband and I find the most enjoyment being in, on or near the water; and spending time with family and friends.
We both have a passion for helping people and are dedicated volunteers in our communities and beyond.
We love to travel, but Northern Michigan will always be our home.
