Great Location, but...
This is a modern styled apt in a great location just a short walk to Belsize Park station. But...there are a few things to be aware of. The bathroom is tiny--the sink is really not even large enough to wash both hands (much tinier than even a cruise ship sink!--we used the kitchen sink), if you drop the soap in the shower, you have to open the door to pick it up . The bed was very comfortable but the floor in general was gritty (though kitchen area and bathroom were clean) and though there is a deck, it is a problem to get by the bed and drapes to even get to the door. Lastly, I can't believe the previous review about how quiet this was as it was not--all day and night there are very loud sea gulls (who would think this!) on the roofs and chimney's and the doors are paper thin with neighbor conversations, comings/goings early and late and even the cleaning of other apts starting at 6am! I am not a complainer, usually, and have stayed at several vrbo locations in the past. No place is perfect but you should be aware of the issues here.
Bright and Modern bliss in Belsize Park.
We loved this modern, bright studio, which is very light and airy and has French windows to a garden. we had loverly drinks on the patio.
It was clean and has a well equiped kitchen.
The bed is very comfortable and Phil is on hand to help.
Its exaccltly as in the photos.
The thing we loved about this place, is the design and the location.
It's blissfully quiet at night, yet so centrally located.
We would reccomend this compact studio to all travellers.
Thank you Emily for your great communication, & to Phil who was very helpful
Location is the best thing - otherwise skip it
Love belsize park area so opted to rent this unit despite only having two reviews. The pictures definitely show it in the best light. When we arrived, it looks much dingier and dirty than the photo. And it was dirty. Previous guests hairs still visible around the flat. I found at least 4 spiders, including one on the bed.
It is a studio and it Is small. Bathroom sink (no photo ) is too small to do anything. It is about 7"x12" and no room to put any of your toiletries.
Bed is advertised as a king bed however for those of us from North America, this is not a king. There is also not a coffee maker as advertised. Nor a rain shower.
The flat was easy to rent but I will say I needed to send 2 emails and place a call that was not returned, to find out how to get the keys.
I should have known better to expect much more.
I would not recommend.
Small but cozy and comfortable suite just a few minutes walk from the Belsize Park tube station and good restaurants (even a couple of markets)
THE PERFECT LONDON STAY
Very nice apartment in North West London (not far from Camden Market) with a relaxing back yard with terrace.
Near public transport, metro & bus, restaurants and shops.
Very safe and clean suburb of London.
Amazing decoration, very clean and well equiped with everything you need for a short stay.
The owners and the Meet and greet man are very friendly and helpful.
For us , the best place to stay in London.
Not the luxury you expect
Before our stay at the studio, I admit, I kind of overread the 2 star review, because it just didn’t fit to the beautiful pictures and the other reviews. Besides, there are always people, who complain... Unfortunately, our experiance was similar to the 2*-review. The photos show overall luxury, which you won’t find.
But lets start with the nice things first: Belsize is a nice area with many good restaurants. The studio is only few minutes from the tube and yet it is an absolutely quiet neighbourhood. Also the supermarket is just down the street. The studio is big enough for two, and so is the bed. The kitchen is well equipped.
BUT: in the description it sais Wifi available – not true! There is no Wifi in the studio and the owner never replied to my emails (2) concerning this. The studio is dirty, and I mean dirty! Hair from previous travelers and dirty everything: dishes, furniture (I cleaned it with wipes before using and the tissue was dark), mirrors, bathroom, etc. The kettle was plain nasty. I don’t know, what it was, that was in it, but it looked as if someone had coocked sausages in it and didn’t clean it. The bathroom sink is rediculously small – our hands hardly fit under the water jet. And last but not least: you can hear all travelors through the wall, so you better bring ear plugs. We recommend the studio partly – better not book if you are bothered by dirt.
Located only 2mins from Belsize Park tube station (Northern Line).

The flat is under 10mins from Swiss Cottage station (Jubilee line).
Swiss Cottage station provides quick access to the central shops (Bond Street), Houses of Parliament (Westminster), the London Eye (Waterloo) and the Tate Modern (Southwark) and the city.

The studio is perfectly positioned with excellent public transport links to central London, the Euro star and airports.
The main feature about this place is its location, the area couldn't be better; it is one of the most desirable, well-sought, green, affluent areas of London.
Belsize Park, a safe, family and culture filled area, is nestled between trendy Primrose Hill, lively Camden Lock and market and upmarket Hampstead village. It is an ideal place from where you can explore London in all its glory and still have plenty of space and a good night’s rest.
You couldn't go Greener!! there are so many parks to visit,
Hampstead heath, Regents park, Primrose Hill
5 minutes away is 'Spring health leisure center' It offers visitors a 'payasugym' membership, check out their website of the same name. It's small but a great local gym that many of our local celebs use including Helena Bonhom-Carter & Chris martin use regularly There is also a walk in cresh.
The area, although only short bus ride from the center of town, has a charming village atmosphere, with the busy high street and a lovely range of local shops, restaurants, cafes, charming pubs, bars, a health and beauty spa, the Hampstead theatre (Swiss Cottage), a boutique cinema (the Everyman Belsize Park) and the Imax cinema (Odeon Swiss Cottage) just around the corner. Along with historical landmarks to visit within walking distance, including Keats’ House (home of the poet) and Kenwood House (as featured in the film Notting Hill).
A short walk down the hill in Camden there is London’s most famous street market with great street food as well as a great range of bars, pubs, restaurants and gig venues, including the Roundhouse that hosts theatre and music performances regularly.
In the cobbled mews’ of Hampstead village there are a wide range of shops including teashops, the Hampstead Antiques Emporium for those who like to go antiquing, fashion shops and another boutique cinema (the Everyman Hampstead), all a short walk from the flat.
Best of all is the locality to three of London’s most famous parks. The vast green expanse of Hampstead Heath is only a stone’s throw away with superb views over London and swimming ponds for hot days. The wonderful Primrose Hill, featuring a panoramic view of the city, is 15mins walk away. With Regent's Park the other side of the hill, encompassing London Zoo, a variety of gardens, sports fields, and the renowned outdoor theatre for summer performance.
As you can imagine, it's a great place for celebrity spotting Local residents include Helena Bonham- Carter, Gwyneth Paltrow, Hugh Laurie, Chris Martin, of the band 'Coldplay', Cameron Diaz, Jude Law and many others including the 'Primrose Hill' Set.
