The Space:

Welcome to Sunshine Villa! Sunshine Villa is a four-bedroom, three-bathroom, two-story villa nestled in Pier 9 Bungalows. Located in picturesque Union Pier, this lovely home has so much to offer, including a convenient locale just walking distance from the beach. As you enter the first floor, you are welcomed by a dining area, a full kitchen, and a living area area. You'll also find a bedroom with a twin-size trundle and a full bathroom, easily accessible by guests. The second floor enjoys the main bedroom with a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom, and a private balcony. There is also a bedroom with a queen bed and a bedroom with a bunk, both sharing a full bath with plenty of space for families. The outdoor firepit and sitting area is a welcome accommodation for enjoying those beautiful summer nights. Beach access is just a few short blocks away, making it convenient even for families to walk to the beach. Please note that the owner has a cat and a non-shedding dog. The guest is allowed one non-shedding dog under 20 lbs. THINGS TO KNOW The pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. * Please Note: If you are booking the home between the months of September - May, please verify with the agent that the hot tub and/or pool will be accessible. As a VRBO Host, we may be looking at things others would not see. The house is in a great location and has a ton of space. There is wear and tear on the house for sure, the towel bars and TP holders were falling off the wall, bed in bottom floor bedroom is broken, the garbage disposal is broken. and the grill had no gas (we had to go buy one) and burners barley worked. The door handle is very loose and may fall off. We also think there maybe a dead mouse in the owners closet. Overall the cleanliness was lacking, there was sand in a pile in the upstairs bathroom, candy wrappers on the bed side tables, there was a lot of dirt on the trundle bed and under it in the upstairs bed room. Pans were put away very dirty that we scrubbed and scrubbed to get clean and dishes and cups had to be washed before we could use. We appreciated the house for the size and location to beach and town. Overall week was great, but would be remised if I did not point these out.

We're sorry that the maintenance and cleanliness fell short of the standard we hold, from the loose towel bars and TP holders to the broken bed, garbage disposal, and grill, along with the dirty pans and dishes and the areas that were not properly cleaned. This is not the welcome any guest should walk into, and we have notified our housekeeping and maintenance teams to inspect and address each of these items, including checking the owner's closet for the source of the odor you mentioned. We truly appreciate a fellow host's careful eye, and it means a lot that the great location, generous space, and easy access to the beach and town still made for a good week overall.
