Perfect for family or groups featuring two queen beds (1 in each bedroom upstairs) and one full bed (on the main floor). Freshen up in the two bathrooms that include showers and washer and dryer after your hiking adventures.

The open-concept living room with a tall, vaulted ceiling, wood burning stove, luxurious velvet sofa, and soft scone light fixtures give a feeling of luxury surrounded by nature.

The house is 10 min drive to the best hiking trails in Dolly Sods. Less than 1 hr drive to Canaan Valley, Black Waterfalls Park, Seneca Rock, and much more.

Whether you’re relaxing indoors or planning your next adventure, this gorgeous home offers a welcoming retreat. We'll be available to answer any questions while you stay at our place.

Remove personal items and remove leftover food and drinks
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please wash your used dishes and put them away. Place all used towels and bedsheets in the second floor bathroom.
Please lock the entrance door by pressing the Schlack button on the keypad and turn the lock knob to the right (clockwise).
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
The community has quiet hours between 11 pm - 7 am.
Even though it's the wilderness, shooting is not allowed in the Wilderness Retreat At Dolly Sods community.

This home has the best stocked kitchen of any I’ve ever stayed in. Everything in the home is very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the fire pit and dining outside and the beautiful indoor dining table was ideal for our crew during a thunderstorm. The drive to the top of the mountain is quick and easy. My 84 year old father says this is his favorite place on earth and I am so happy to have found this cabin so that he can continue to enjoy Dolly Sods safely at his age. This is our second time staying in this home and I don’t expect it to be the last. Everything is just perfect!

My love for outdoors, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors with friends and family are why I built this house/cabin in Dolly Sods. I hired a crew to frame the house and build the exterior and spent 3 joyous summers finishing the inside on my own with help from friends and neighbors. It's a labor of love and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

It's brand new, feel like a luxurious place in a wonderful, wilderness area. Big enough for a group of friends or family, and yet the cozy living room area gives you an intimate feeling. Wood burning stove keeps you warm in the winter days, and the back porch keeps you cool in the summer hot days.
