I really enjoyed this cabin. It was nicely set up, clean, and had everything we needed for a short vacation. The host was pleasant and communicative. I highly recommend this cabin.
The property was clean, cozy, well appointed with kitchen and laundary starter supplies, stove, microwave and dishwasher. The bathroom has a very pretty and efficient shower. Washer and dryer. With the windows opened the breeze was fantastic.
Our unit was very clean. The host responded to my questions within 24 hours. The unit does not have air conditioning but it did have several fans. The area had a nice breeze most of the time so we opened the windows (yes they had screens) to keep the unit cool. It was very peaceful even though there was a bunch of teenagers ( they were very respectful and well mannered kids) attending a camp. It is a great location to stay if you want to explore Canaan Valley. The towns of Davis and Thomas are just minutes away. Blackwater Falls and it's many hiking trails is also very close. Canaan Valley resort park is also close enough to go and take advantage their hiking trails. We spent three full days here and didn't make a dent in the many trails that are in the area to explore. The kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. We used the outside grill every evening. There is a washer and dryer. I do wish that the unit had a tub to soak in after hiking miles every day. The shower was nice but not very helpful for sore muscles. It is a beautiful unit in a beautiful area. I hope to stay here again next year. My old phone died so unfortunately I can't share any pictures of the lovely cabin we stayed in.
This cabin is well-kept and inviting, in a perfect location tucked against the woods. Loved the shower and the bathroom finishes and layout. The resort is quiet and has excellent dark sky viewing from the deck. A wonderful, rejuvenating weekend escape!
Really wonderful spot. Really enjoyed the elevated deck with latching gate for the dogs backed up against the woods, I’m a bird watcher so enjoyed all the species of birds in the woods.
Everything was as described in the listing. The host was very quick to respond when we had an issue come up and due to it being the 4th of July she was unable to get someone to come fix the issue but assured us that it would be fixed. Beautiful area to spend a weekend away.
