This old barn has soul. Renovated to create a space to make you feel like you've lived here forever - your home away from home. The Salt House is a place to come and find rest, be inspired, and make memories.
If you’re like us, a beautiful space can breathe life in to a weary traveller.
The Salt House is a renovated barn built in 1905 that once served as the main barn for a large chicken farm. Our own home is on the same property and sits next to the Salt House, sharing a driveway and parking area. The private fenced and gated back yard ensure privacy during your stay.
The Salt House includes a private back yard, patio fire pit and hot tub. The driveway and parking area are shared, with specific spaces reserved for guests use throughout your stay. The Salt House can accommodate 2 guest vehicles.
The Salt Houses 1900's architecture includes the original hay loft staircase leading to both upstairs bedrooms. They are steeper and narrower than traditional staircases.
It's a unique feature but may not be ideal for those with mobility challenges - so please keep that in mind when booking.
