About this property

The Little House on Rocky Hill - Peaceful 2BR Newberg Wine Country Retreat

Welcome to The Little House on Rocky Hill, our own little fairytale in Oregon wine country. Tucked along a quiet gravel road among horse pastures and old walnut trees, she’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down, take a deep breath and enjoy the quiet.

This single-level country home accommodates up to four guests with two bedrooms—one king and one queen—and one bathroom with a walk-in shower and heated floors. Both bedrooms include comfortable bedding, bedside charging cables, white-noise machines, full-length mirrors and clothing storage.

Spend the day exploring nearby wineries and seasonal farm stands, then come home to a glowing electric fireplace, 75-inch smart TV, Bluetooth record player, vintage games and a thoughtfully stocked kitchen with cookware, dishes, wine glasses, coffee, tea and basic pantry staples.

Outside, enjoy a gas grill and patio seating beneath café lights, garden swings, a tire swing and peaceful views toward the horse pastures. When the garden is producing, guests are welcome to pick ripe tomatoes and seasonal herbs.

The house also includes Starlink Wi-Fi, central heating and air conditioning, a washer and dryer, free driveway parking and an automatic whole-house generator.

The Little House is a true country property. The final approach includes winding, unlit roads and a short stretch of gravel, and cell service can be unreliable. We recommend saving the arrival directions and enabling Wi-Fi calling after connecting to the house Wi-Fi. The garage, riding arena and pastures are private; please enjoy the horses from a respectful distance without entering pastures or opening gates.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

We had such a wonderful stay! The house was absolutely immaculate, beautifully maintained, and very well stocked with everything we needed. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the hosts were helpful and welcoming. The property is nestled in the country, so it feels peaceful and secluded, yet it’s still close to everything. The setting was beautiful and so relaxing. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a house that made me feel this relaxed. From the moment we arrived, I felt completely comfortable and a little spoiled—which was exactly what I needed! It truly felt like a peaceful getaway. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing place to stay.

We’re Meg and Jet, a mother-daughter hosting team with deep roots on Rocky Hill. Jet grew up on a farm in Northern California and has spent much of her life around horses, barrel racing and rodeo. Meg led The Little House’s recent renovation and is the detail-loving force behind its design and guest experience.

Our family has cared for this property for more than 30 years, and Jet still lives just down the hill. We love sharing a place that means so much to us with guests who appreciate country quiet, thoughtful details and a house with a story.

Why they chose this property

The Little House is the home that originally brought our family to this part of Newberg. We have loved this quiet stretch of Oregon wine country ever since.

The neighborhood offers the best parts of country life: horse pastures, old walnut trees, open skies, a distant view of Mt. Hood and seasonal farm stands within walking distance. It feels peaceful and tucked away, while wineries, restaurants and downtown Newberg remain close by.

What makes this property unique

The Little House is a 1940s original with genuine family history and a personality entirely her own. After decades as part of our family, she received the thoughtful renovation in 2026—and bit of glamour—she always deserved while keeping the warmth and character that made her special.

She is a little house with a lot of history—and personality. Get to know her on Instagram: @thelittlehouse_rockyhill
