About Jim Hardie

My wife and I live in Sequim, WA with our golder retriever named Bear. We enjoy hiking and horseback riding in Olympic National Park. We also enjoy sailing, flying and travel.

Jim Hardie purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Jim Hardie chose Olympic Peninsula & Pacific Coast

What we enjoy the most about our cabin is sitting out under the trees watching the birds and other wildlife that frequent the creek and the wonderful sound of cascading water flowing down the creek.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I would recommend this place to anyone who is visiting or vacationing in Northwest Washington. It was close to everything that we were interested in; Olympic National Park, Vancouver Island, the west coast, also grocery stores and restaurants, yet it was located in a very private, wooded area next to a babbling brook. We would sight see during the day, and get to return to a lovely relaxing cabin in the evening. The owners were kind and easy to work with, and the price was reasonable. I would not hesitate to stay here again. In fact, I wish I were there right now. Nice!

Comfortable cabin with nice view

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed the property. It was a great launching point for our planned activities. The property was clean and comfortable. The owner was responsive and there was even fresh cookies waiting for us. If I had any complaints it would be that the neighborhood felt a little dodgy. While many people maintained their properties, there were certainly a few that did not and it gave somewhat of a bad impression as we drove to the cabin.

great location for the Olympic NP and just to relax

  • 4 of 5

The highlight of this cabin is it's location on the Morse creek. I loved sitting on the deck listening to the water and reading a book.

There are houses nearby, but rarely did we see anyone in the 3 days we were there.

A recycling bin would be useful. I texted Jim about our recyclables and he told me where to place them and he'd take care of them.

Very responsive, much appreciated.

Perfect relaxing retreat!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and myself spent four day exploring the northwest peninsula and after a hard day of adventure this cabin was a perfect place to unwind. We loved sitting by the river or fire for a night cap and enjoying the quite sounds of nature. It's a beautiful and well maintained location close to amentiies but tucked away from the city lights. Don't think any longer.... Just book it! You won't be disappointed!

Relaxing Cabin

  • 5 of 5

Nice secluded cabin located on Morse Creek. The cabin is well maintained, clean and very comfortable. With the sound of the creek rushing over the rocks it makes for a very relaxing getaway. Communication with the owner was quick and efficient, and they make a nice special occasion of your visit with homemade cookies as a treat upon your arrival. The cookies where delicious I might add. If you don't want to completely escape the outside world while on vacation, the cabin is equipped with excellent internet access and cable TV. The cable TV had a plethora of channels. I would highly recommend the cabin for a relaxing getaway.

Delightful getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We so enjoyed our stay in the little house by the creek! Everything was perfect and lovely. It is nicely furnished with a great mix of antiques and new items. The kitchen is well appointed and the bathroom is spacious. All the things you might need for your stay has been thought of and it made for a relaxed and cozy retreat. The sound and sight of the creek is the icing on the cake. A great feature is how close it is to Port Angeles should you decide you need anything or just as a launching place for other Olympic adventures.

I highly recommend this cabin for anyone who wants to unhook for awhile!
