About Marjory Bartee
We feel very fortunate to be able to live in one of the most beautiful and unique spots on the North Olympic Peninsula and to be able to share it with travelers seeking to experience the beauty and wonders of this special area. We are located on several acres of land, partially farmland, partially woodland on the high bank waterfront bluff along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Our views are of the majestic Olympic mountain range to the south and of Vancouver Island, B.C. to the north. Having a wooded creek as our eastern boundary, we are able to provide the unique access pathway to the beach below. All of our several vacation rental homes enjoy the use of this same five minute hiking trail which is the most treasured feature of our properties. Wildlife abounds in this natural habitat where deer, eagles, river otter, seals and more are seen as an every day occurrence. We work daily at our other businesses where we sell home improvement products such as appliances, flooring, cabinets etc. We strive to have all of our vacation homes reflect our enthusiasm for inviting, quality interiors so that our guests feel truly welcome and at home while they stay in our homes.
Marjory Bartee purchased this Mobile Home in 2002
Why Marjory Bartee chose Port Angeles
We have lived on this acreage for many, many years and have gradually developed several vacation rentals on it over the past few years. We love this beautiful land and try to keep it looking it's best for everyone who comes to visit so that they will enjoy it as much as we do.
What makes this Mobile Home unique
This particular vacation home is the closest one to the creek and to the trail that leads to the beach. It is so quiet and private and when the deer stroll past the porch and nibble on the fruit trees, it is like a storybook setting. When the exquisitely beautiful peacock comes by everyone gets out their cameras!

Beautiful location and comfortable, cozy cabin.
My husband and I were visiting our son who lives in Portland. We were looking for a special place to celebrate his birthday. This was certainly it! I called Margery because we were arriving fairly late and she was very helpful in giving good directions to help us find the bungalow at night. We felt right at home as soon as we walked in. Our beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook a meal though we only ate breakfast there. We walked the trail which is located right out the door of the cabin. The view at the end is beautiful even in cloudy weather that we had. We even saw a deer one morning! The grounds around the bungalow were well kept and I enjoyed seeing the flowers and fruit trees. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come again!
Basic but lovely location
Things are all from the 1980s or before. The shower is slightly dangerous if you have short legs. The outdoor grill that was listed ended up being full of spider webs and rust and would have been way too much work to clean. The sofa should be replaced as there is not much left of its structure.
That being said, my bed was comfy and it was nice to see deer outside and be near the beach. People who are not steady should beware however that the slope down to the beach is steep and if it were wet would likely be too dangerous to get down there.
Lovely bungalow in quiet neighborhood
We loved our stay at the bungalow! The bungalow is located in a quiet, peaceful setting and makes for a lovely getaway for a couple or small family. Close enough to Port Angeles or Sequim!
Quiet, comfortable, private and well-kept.
We really liked this accommodation! The adjacent beach and the eagles nesting close by entertained us throughout our stay. The host provides everything a guest or family could want for adventure or just for relaxing. Very clean. Good bicycling in the neighborhood and a short ride to the spectacular Olympic Discovery Trail where you can ride paved paths into Sequim or Pt. Angeles. Local people are friendly! We'll be back. Thanks!
Great location. Wonderful trails. Quiet. Beautiful surroundings. Old building but roomy and clean and well stocked. Would come back—no question!!
Lovely private setting but terrible furniture
The location is great. End of the road and very quiet. Deer eating apples from the tree out front. The mobile home has a good layout and in pretty good condition for an older place. But we absolutely can’t come back until the owners buy new quality furniture. Both mattresses are in very poor condition and the couch has got to go (you can literally feel the wood planks of the frame). If you have any back issues at all you’ll be miserable.
If they buy new furniture we’d definitely come back!
The Beach Trail Bungalow is in a secluded location with a backdrop of towering evergreen trees where eagles nest, above the private beach where seals and seabirds are spotted as the waves crash ashore. It is less than two miles away from the paved Olympic Discovery Trail, the perfect trail for pedestrians, cyclists or equestrians. It is also only a five minute drive from the well-stocked Agnew Grocery and Feed Store which has a large selection of wines many from our local Olympic Peninsula Wineries. Because it is so conveniently located mid way between the two towns of Sequim and Port Angeles, in an area called Agnew, it is an easy fifteen to twenty minute drive in either direction to the restaurants and shops and activities that both towns have to offer. The world famous Dungeness Spit, the longest spit in the world, is only minutes away by car or can be hiked to along the shore for those who enjoy hiking and beachcombing along the unpopulated, rugged beach. Be sure to plan your beach walks accordingly, however, as high tide can be treacherous if you are not prepared. (tide tables are listed in the local phone book)
The Beach Trail Bungalow offers a place to relax with privacy and intimacy at a very affordable price. The entire property and grounds are at your disposal. There are several wooded trails that lead to waterfront look-outs where you will want to sit and reflect on the natural surroundings, the native plants, the birds, wildlife, passing ships, the sunsets or the peace and quiet of the property itself. You will enjoy a sumptuous night's sleep as you listen to the waves and enjoy the high end mattress and luxurious, hand ironed, high thread count linens.
