About Marjory Bartee

We feel very fortunate to be able to live in one of the most beautiful and unique spots on the North Olympic Peninsula and to be able to share it with travelers seeking to experience the beauty and wonders of this special area. We are located on several acres of land, partially farmland, partially woodland on the high bank waterfront bluff along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Our views are of the majestic Olympic mountain range to the south and of Vancouver Island, B.C. to the north. Having a wooded creek as our eastern boundary, we are able to provide the unique access pathway to the beach below. All of our several vacation rental homes enjoy the use of this same five minute hiking trail which is the most treasured feature of our properties. Wildlife abounds in this natural habitat where deer, eagles, river otter, seals and more are seen as an every day occurrence. We work daily at our other businesses where we sell home improvement products such as appliances, flooring, cabinets etc. We strive to have all of our vacation homes reflect our enthusiasm for inviting, quality interiors so that our guests feel truly welcome and at home while they stay in our homes.

Why Marjory Bartee chose Olympic Peninsula & Pacific Coast

We have lived on this acreage for many, many years and have gradually developed several vacation rentals on it over the past few years. We love this beautiful land and try to keep it looking it's best for everyone who comes to visit so that they will enjoy it as much as we do.

What makes this mobile home unique

This particular vacation home is the closest one to the creek and to the trail that leads to the beach. It is so quiet and private and when the deer stroll past the porch and nibble on the fruit trees, it is like a storybook setting. When the exquisitely beautiful peacock comes by everyone gets out their cameras!

The Beach Trail Bungalow is in a secluded location with a backdrop of towering evergreen trees where eagles nest, above the private beach where seals and seabirds are spotted as the waves crash ashore. It is less than two miles away from the paved Olympic Discovery Trail, the perfect trail for pedestrians, cyclists or equestrians. It is also only a five minute drive from the well-stocked Agnew Grocery and Feed Store which has a large selection of wines many from our local Olympic Peninsula Wineries. Because it is so conveniently located mid way between the two towns of Sequim and Port Angeles, in an area called Agnew, it is an easy fifteen to twenty minute drive in either direction to the restaurants and shops and activities that both towns have to offer. The world famous Dungeness Spit, the longest spit in the world, is only minutes away by car or can be hiked to along the shore for those who enjoy hiking and beachcombing along the unpopulated, rugged beach. Be sure to plan your beach walks accordingly, however, as high tide can be treacherous if you are not prepared. (tide tables are listed in the local phone book)

The Beach Trail Bungalow offers a place to relax with privacy and intimacy at a very affordable price. The entire property and grounds are at your disposal. There are several wooded trails that lead to waterfront look-outs where you will want to sit and reflect on the natural surroundings, the native plants, the birds, wildlife, passing ships, the sunsets or the peace and quiet of the property itself. You will enjoy a sumptuous night's sleep as you listen to the waves and enjoy the high end mattress and luxurious, hand ironed, high thread count linens.

Peaceful location

  • 4 of 5

This was our first visit to the Olympic Peninsula and we're very pleased and surprised with the areas charm and the peaceful location of this property. Tucked into the corner of a very small, yet spacious mobile home neighborhood, this unit was very clean, well equipped, and surrounded by a lush lawn and green area just steps from the cliffs above the Straight of Juan de Fuca. A five minute walk down a path in the back of the property takes you to a viewpoint on the cliffs overlooking the water, while another will take you right down to the beach where you can explore in total solitude.

The property is a short drive from Port Angeles, Sequim, Port Townsend, and Olympic National Park. The wi-fi is dependable, but cell service can be spotty as it is on the entire peninsula regardless of carrier. The only issue that keeps us from rating this property a 5 star is that the furniture is a bit dated and needs to be improved.

Really pretty setting. Very quiet and private. Everything one would need was provided.

  • 4 of 5

My husband had a fractured leg so we weren't able to take advantage of the trail and beach. However the setting was lovely and very private. The furnishings were ok. A little worn but very clean and certainly fine for a vacation rental. I would recommend this to anyone seeking peace and quiet without the glitz of a 5 star hotel....We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Great location and fine place to stay

  • 4 of 5

A few problems (wifi down, DVD player broken) but nothing that interfered with our stay, The 'bungalow' (mobile home) is very well equipped, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Quite, secluded little corner of paradise

  • 5 of 5

We stayed from 1/10/17-1/17/17. In spite of the winter weather, it was a wonderful visit. The trailer has everything you might need in a week's stay. It is very clean and comfortable. The mattress feels fairly new. It was better stocked than most other rentals I've stayed at. I loved that there was a washer/dryer available. We enjoyed watching deer in the yards and saw the resident bald eagle fly over ours heads. We also took the trail down to the beach. It's truly is a little patch of paradise.

The only problems I noticed were with the bathroom sink not draining properly. I think it needs some attention from a plumber. Also, the light bulb on one of the sconces in the living room is burned out. No big deals - just letting the owner know.
