About this property

Breck House--incredible Views, Pet Friendly, Quiet Retreat, Private Hot Tub

You will absolutely love our 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom house nestled quietly in the woods yet just ten minutes to downtown Breckenridge and ten minutes to Frisco. Floor to ceiling windows frame the expansive view stretching from the ski area north to Frisco all along the Ten Mile Range. Our house is the perfect combination of feeling removed from the stress of city life but still being close to the ski area, restaurants, and shopping. Mountain biking/hiking trails are literally out the back door connecting you to almost 200 miles of maintained trails. Parking for the Breckenridge ski area is just minutes away at the bottom of the hill. Copper Mountain Ski Area and Keystone Ski Area are both about twenty minutes away.

Our 1900 square foot house is on three levels. The upper bedroom and bathroom are located behind the loft at the top of the stairs. The loft has expansive views of the jagged peaks of the Ten Mile Range. The private upper bedroom overlooks the Breckenridge Ski Area. The upper bathroom has recently been remodeled to include a four-person steam shower and soaking tub. There is a very small private deck off the back of the bedroom overlooking open space.

The main floor includes the kitchen, a large living room, a queen bedroom, and newly updated bathroom with a shower. There is a three season screened in porch off the kitchen with a gas fireplace. A very comfortable wrap around deck is accessed from the eating area and includes a Wind River four-person hot tub. A wood burning fireplace is the center of the spacious living room and mountain views enhance the room. The fireplace creates incredible heat for the house. A large wall mounted flat screen TV is on the north wall.

The house in entered through the downstairs entry hall with plenty of hooks for outdoor gear. This floor also has a bedroom set up to sleep four (a queen bed and one bunkbed) with an ensuite bathroom with a shower. The garage provides extra storage for skis and gear. The utility room is also on this floor.

Access to the house is from US Highway Nine running between Breckenridge and Frisco and a short drive up a paved road to the quiet mountain subdivision of Silver Shekel. The area directly behind the house is the luxury Highlands neighborhood however directly behind the house is undevelopable open space. A natural wetlands here attracts moose, fox and deer regularly.

The driveway is plowed in the winter but does require cautious attention after a storm.

The feel of the house is like a mountain cabin with the comforts of a house. We have a flat TV screen connected to the WiFi service for streaming NetFlix, Hulu, YouTube etc., but we do not have cable TV.

There is an excellent trail system for mountain biking, hiking, and snowshoeing right outside our door. The Breckenridge golf course and Gold Run nordic ski area are within two miles. The large private lot provides a peaceful stay.

Our property has a short-term rental license with Summit County, STR 21-00648. (We do not rent long term.) Our license allows no more than 8 people and 4 cars and we welcome your 4 legged family members as well.

Great vacation & great location!

Absolutely amazing mountain stay! We had the best views of Breckenridge, and so close to the resort! After a great day of skiing, this was the best place to relax and lounge, with the hot tub, snow falling down, trees surrounding you… We got to take advantage of the snowshoes available and take the dogs out for a nearby hike! We loved this place!!

The response time was super great, the hosts were amazing. The home had everything you could possibly need and more. The hot tub and deck were so great after a long day on the slopes. And the views! Wonderful Retreat

We had a wonderfully relaxing time during our stay. David and Molly were so thoughtful in putting welcoming and homey touches into the house for our stay. It made being away from home for the holidays still feel like being home. The location and the house were both beautiful and perfect for any time of year, the view of the mountains from the deck was breathtaking. We were traveling with our dogs and they absolutely loved being there with us - especially sitting on the gated porch. Everything we could possibly need was ready for us in the house - it was very well stocked. David and Molly were quick to respond to questions and made our stay very enjoyable, we would love to stay again.

Fabulous family mountain home!

We absolutely loved this amazing house. It was perfect for our family of five. Our teenage boys had the bottom floor, our daughter on the main floor and we had the master suite on the third level. We spent every morning drinking coffee on the deck and took advantage of the breathtaking views. We used the hot tub at night and it was perfect after long days of fun activities. The master bath is fabulous with soaking tub and huge steam shower. We also used the hammock. The house is close to town and easy to get to. Kitchen was well stocked and had everything you would need. Would definitely rent again.

Perfect for an autumn stay!

The house and property was just beautiful! Views are amazing and we enjoyed the rapidly changing autumn weather. From warm and sunny to rainy and cold. The house was perfect for all conditions. Deck is wonderful to catch some rays, enjoy the hot tub and outdoor eating. The porch with gas heater was perfect on the colder days to enjoy games or relax by the fire. The house provided the perfect accommodations for our group and was very well stocked. Views from inside the house are perfect. We enjoyed seeing the mountains capped with white from an overnight snow from the kitchen window and the beautiful mountain views in the great room and master suite. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing, enjoyable vacation in Breckenridge.

Loving a Blizzard

We loved the steam shower and soaking tub in the main bedroom on the upper level. Having a washer & dryer was also a bonus. Although the driveway has a couple of turns and is quite steep, the plow came by twice. We had no trouble with our 4Runner. When the storm finally moved out, the sunrise view of the Ten Mile range was simply stunning. We look forward to returning to this home again soon, with hopes for weather other than a blizzard. Your hosts, David & Molly, promptly answered our questions and were a pleasure to correspond with.

Perfect cabin getaway

We were lucky enough to stay the week of Christmas for a perfect family holiday. The cabin is laid out perfectly for a large family with a bedroom and bathroom on different levels. The location is great, not too close to town while being just close enough. There was nothing that we wanted for and the hosts David and Molly are great. We asked if we could put up a Christmas tree and they offered to have one waiting for us to decorate upon our arrival. This is just one example of how great they were. We got a lot of snow - well, a lot for us who aren’t used to snow - and the driveway was plowed every morning. Overall, new couldn’t have asked for more. Would definitely stay again! Thank you again!

Amazing stay: ride/ski/walk/snow shoe to trails

We loved our stay! The trail goes right behind the house just up the hill. We rode to the trail head just .25 miles to the south. We also rode bikes to the Gold Run Nordic Center using the rec path. Could also ride there using the trails, but too much snow when we were there. The house has plenty of room. We were 6 adults and 3 dogs. Deck is amazing, kitchen has everything you need to cook all meals at home, hot tub hit the spot after a long day on the trails. Tons of storage for bikes and skis. Could not recommend this home more! We have stayed in town Breckenridge as well and I preferred being a bit removed this time. Less crowded and I enjoy the Gold Run Nordic Center over Breck Nordic Center so was ideal to be so close! Thanks for an amazing stay!!

Perfect Getaway - close to everything, but remote enough to feel private and relaxing

Camp Hale is the perfect getaway. The upstairs bedroom / loft has a queen bed with an awesome bathroom featuring a modern tub and an awesome steam room (so relaxing after a long bike ride or day on the slopes). The main floor has a big gathering room, galley kitchen, queen bed and bathroom. Great space to gather your family together and play fun games or share a meal and conversation around the fire. There's a huge deck with stunning views of the ski slopes, mountain range, and more, and they just installed a nice hot tub, which further enhances the relaxation! In the downstairs, there's a fun bunk room with 3/4 shower - the kids loved being in this room and having their own space. The kitchen and house are fully equipped and comfortable. It's a great place for a large family or perhaps two small families to share. It's just a 10 minute drive to the Gondola, and you're on the mountain - also close to downtown, and to the fun activities near town. like Breckenridge Distillery, several brew pubs, and downtown Frisco is just about 15 minutes away. Easy Breezy.

Winter wonderland

We were 2 families staying here to ski and enjoy the snow and it was great. The house is located very close to Breckenridge and Copper ski resorts. It snowed about 13in in the 3 days we were there but the snow did not interfere with getting in and out of the house. Someone plowed the driveway every day it snowed and the roads were also cleared. Would recommend 4-wheel drive though given house is up steep road and driveway. While we enjoyed stay, we noted several pros/cons: Pros: 1) The hot tub worked well and was wonderful way to warm up after a cold day. The owners warned us that it takes 3hrs to warm up, so plan ahead! 2) best stocked kitchen we have ever seen with tons of food in pantry and fridge/freezer 3) lots of games, puzzles and dvds for entertainment 4) tons of outdoor equipment (boots, skis, snow shoes, sleds) 5) we saw a deer right outside house which provided great photos and entertainment 6) very clear instructions from host cons: 1) uncomfortable mattresses & pillows with static-y not soft bedding. The master bed had duct tape on the down comforter. 2) upstairs master bedroom does not have shades on majority of windows so sunshine/glare from snow wakes you early. (wish I had brought eye mask) 3) rickety older home makes lot of noise which woke us frequently throughout night 4) floor boards are cracked and missing pieces in certain areas which is dangerous with kids running around (owner aware and said floors are to be replaced)

Wonderful Place to Stay

This is a wonderful house. My wife and I, and our three children (11, 9, 6), stayed here June 18 - 25, 2022. The house was very clean on arrival, and the pictures accurately represent the condition and layout of the house. It is conveniently located just outside of Breckenridge and very close to Frisco. There are hiking trails right behind the house which are great for kids. Everything you want to do is a short drive / bike ride away. The owners were fantastic and very responsive, and even sent me some follow up pictures of moose in the backyard after our stay. I would highly recommend this house to anyone traveling to the area.

We chose this property because of its ideal location between Frisco and Breckenridge. When we are at the house we enjoy the quiet mountain scenery, but we like to be able to head quickly into either town for restaurants, music, and shopping. We also like the access to hiking and biking trails and the frequent visits by local wildlife.
