This one-bedroom Otter Rock vacation rental is an endearing haven that's fitting for a casual weekend getaway with friends or a memorable family vacation. Satiate your need for nature and experience the captivating beauty of the South Oregon Coast at this oceanside chalet.
This charming loft is part of the idyllic Alpine Chalets community, a cluster of A-Frame cottages perched on a bluff above gorgeous Beverly Beach. A five-minute walk down the private trail leads to a long stretch of sand that extends all the way south to the historic Yaquina Head Lighthouse. Bask in the sunshine on the sandy beach in summer or catch glimpses of magnificent whales in the winter or spring! Newport is just eight miles south and features an array of restaurants and activities such as the Oregon Coast Aquarium.
Inside the chalet, you'll encounter shabby-chic beach charm at its best. The cozy living room features wood paneled walls, a big western-facing window, and wood ceiling beams. It's a comfortable place to relax after an exhausting day of building sandcastles, flying kites on the beach or exploring tide pools at Devils Punch Bowl State Park.
Sink into the plush deep green armchairs or curl up on the colorfully-patterned couch to watch some movies - there's a DVD player and VCR for you to use. Cable is also included so you don't have to miss the latest episode of your favorite show. Gaze out the window for a stunning view of winter storms over the Pacific, or open the blinds to let the sunshine in on a summer day.
The living room opens into the full kitchen, which is well-stocked and ready for your breakfast, lunch, and dinner preparations. Cook and share meals together at the dining room table that seats four. All of the major appliances including a refrigerator, stove-top/oven and microwave are present and accounted for except a dishwasher. But, there is a coffee grinder to make your morning cup of brew with freshly ground beans. And Mo's West is a few blocks away where you can devour bowls of world famous clam chowder on nights when you don't feel like cooking or washing dishes.
When the sun has set and no one can keep their eyes open, beds are available to offer everyone peaceful respite from the day's activities. For guests who desire a bit more privacy or don't care to climb the stairs, a cozy bedroom is downstairs right off the living room. This darling room has a queen-sized bed with bright cheerful bedding and a wooden dresser to store your belongings. There is also a full bathroom on the main floor.
The loft upstairs is ideal to ensure the kids aren't cooped up in cramped quarters. This bright and open area has two twin beds on one side, and a queen-sized bed in the opposite corner of the loft. A warm space, the upstairs guests will be treated to reading lamps, bedside tables, a second TV and the soft glow of natural light shining through the windows. For added convenience, there's also a half bathroom on this level.
This well-designed Oregon Coast vacation rental will comfortably sleep up to six guests. And although you are only 100 feet from white foaming ocean waves, Wi-Fi is available in this home so you can meet your deadline at work or catch up on emails.
Fill your senses with the natural beauty and tranquility of the Oregon Coast during your stay at this enticing chalet!
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
This is our third year of coming back to this particular spot. It's very comfortable. Very relaxing. And a great place to stay with our little kids. We love it here!
Enjoyed our stay. Quiet and close to eateries and shopping and many sites.
The price was great, the units looked amazing on the computer then we arrived to a full trash can at our front door. Then a living room light bulb was out, then we climbed the very steep stairs/ladder to the loft (NOT recommended for elderly or children under 7, we had a 3yo and 6yo) and then found a large gap in the floor of the landing at the top. We spent our entire time banning the kids from the loft except to sleep, for fear of them falling through a hole ringed with steel. Then our blinds upstairs would not close and the parking lot light flickered on and off all night, not helpful for getting sleep. The positives were low price, amazing views, quiet, secluded location, beautiful, though steep, walk to the ocean and a nice guy working on site. Unfortunately, I would not return without hearing of major renovations and better cleaning between guests.
We enjoyed our stay here. The beach was so nice and our chalet was very comfortable. It was just what we were looking for.
Perfect size for a family (separate twin beds for the kids really reduces the fighting!) and the private beach access was great.
