"Destiny Escape" is a name that perfectly describes this beautiful property on a quiet cul-de-sac of desirable Destiny East with resort style pool, tennis courts, and clubhouse just out the back door ...no streets to cross. This gorgeous vacation home boasts a spacious floor plan, open full kitchen, dining and living areas, tropical decor, and a gorgeous lanai with covered built-in barbecue and outdoor dining.
This beach home can comfortably accommodate up to eleven guests and is perfect for one or two families that truly need to escape. Two oversized couches complete with sheet sets and pillows that are as comfortable as twin beds, can be found in the living room. Not only is there enough room for everyone, Destiny Escape is one of a kind with a private screened lanai where you can enjoy a shuffleboard court or ping pong. Unwind at night in the open friendly atmosphere of the Great Room with "Smart" flat screen TV. Both Master Suites and the bunk room (five twin beds) also have flat screen TVs if you want to sneak away from the group. The owners of this home have gone to great lengths to make sure your whole family is books, movies, games, and even a Little Tikes playhouse for the little ones to enjoy. All three bedrooms come with their own en suite private full bath.
The luxurious gated community of Destiny East features a clubhouse with IMAX theatre and fitness area, 3000 sq ft pool/spa, BBQ area with outdoor kitchen, playground, walking trails, tennis and basketball. As our guest, you will receive a free VIP Perks Card that provides free passes to the area's most popular attractions. Each day of your stay, you will receive one free adult pass to a charter fishing excursion, a dolphin cruise aboard the SeaBlaster speed boat, and 18 holes of golfing at three different Sandestin courses. We also offer bike and golf cart rentals, so you can explore easily!
The free passes are per reservation and not per guest. They are non-cumulative. Guests can use passes at different activities on the same day. For instance, a guest could play 18 holes of golf for free in the morning and then go on a free dolphin cruise on the same afternoon. The card also entitles you to do an activity more than once for free. For example, if you wanted to golf daily, each day of your stay (excluding day of departure), one person in your party could golf for free. Free golf and charter fishing excursions are available year-round. The dolphin cruise operates March-October. Perks are not available to monthly renters.

This was perfect for our vacation with our extended family. A total of 8 of us and plenty of room. The pictures don't do the home justice as its beautiful and very homey. The good - wifi, pool access, items provided for us during our stay, shuffleboard, golf cart. Needs TLC - the small fridge in bar area as well as outside need replaced. If not going to replace removal would be better. The piece under the grill needs repaired looks as if they used magnets to try and put together not working well. Table Tennis needs lots of TLC. One of The men in our house went out and got brackets and fixed it or attempted. Suggestions - lots of different things you offer to do in the gated community. You share a map of the community along with things to do but would be helpful if you labeled where each was at. For example, we wanted to use the movie room, but we didn't know where it was or how to reserve until the day prior to leaving. Again perfect for us.

we picked this as a last min trip to Destin. check in at 4pm. we drove by to scope out the house at 330 crews where there. We went to eat and came back at 4:45. We walked into music blasting cleaning people throwing stuff at each other and carrying on. I asked what is going on and I was it would be another 45mins + before they were ready. We were exhausted and just wanted to unwind. We went to view the pool across the way in the back yard. great pool with a nice kitchen area we used the grill there to cook one evening. We talked to a worker got the heads up on things around the property awesome lady! We entered the house , it was clean but half assed cleaned. They have not dusted the living room in ages. I dated a few key items so if you find the 7/29- 7/30 dates in dust around the house that was me. The queen bed had not had the fitted sheet or mattress protector changed it was full of human and animal hairs. left towels in the washer. Which we washed and dried to use, then ran our own load of clothes, which someone came to the house later sat night and took from the washer. We ended up with them back Sunday afternoon after asking the destin staff. The gas grill on the patio was missing, in its place was a hole filled with a greasy nasty sludge. next to it a cheap kmart charcoal grill. I was highly disappointed as we grill almost every night. This threw our whole dinner plans out the window. luckily the pool had nice grills. The owners closest had been broken into and the staff wanted to come in and fix it while we were there, but we asked to have it done after we left. The golf cart is not a 6 person like in the videos of the house. it was slow and drained fast. The cable TV in the master did not work. Cox was pulling into fix as we pulled out to go home. The couches need replaced. the springs are gone and you sink to the floor All in all we had a great time I would rent it again! so close to to the beach but far enough to be quiet.

When we arrived, the house had not been cleaned. We contacted the rental company and it was quickly remedied. They reimbursed the cleaning fee to make up for the trouble. The location was great. Very close to the beech and the neighborhood community center. The house was very comfortable, nicely decorated and well furnished. The couches and beds were very plush and inviting. The layout of the home had enough nooks for small groups to break off and do their own thing without disturbing others. The common rooms were also large enough to accommodate the entire group for gatherings. The patio was very nice as well. Partially covered with ceiling fans and a screened in shuffle board area was a nice touch. The golf cart that came with the house was a little worn out, but it served us well. We made many trips to and from the beach as well as trips to get ice cream. Several small items in the home were in need of repair. Most were normal wear and tear items. All items were addressed by maintenance. There were two different guys that came to repair various items across multiple days of our stay. The restaurants we enjoyed most were The Donut Hole (for breakfast or lunch), Louisiana Lagniappe, Shake's Frozen Custard, Land Shark Pizza and Tops Burgers. If you want to eat in, try Sarah K's Gourmet (amazing crab cakes!!).

Location of home in the subdivision was perfect. Out your back yard is the pool,tennis court and Clubhouse. Home was very spacious and nicely laid out. Only cons would be that the cleaning company was not very detailed. And the carpet in the bedrooms could be cleaned professionally. Would definitely stay again and thoroughly enjoyed the golf cart.

Loved the house but way too many rules with the HOA. As soon as we arrived we were overwhelmed with the notes and rules posted on the walls and at the entry way with warnings of a penalty or fees for not following specific rules even down to how and when to set out the garbage. We were on vacation and did not appreciate all of the ridiculous rules. If were over 65 and went to bed at 9 PM it may have been a better fit for us. We were told upfront that we would be charged a $185 cleaning fee as part of the rental fee but in addition, they had a note posted by the grill that the cleaning fee for that was extra $50.00. We cleaned up the house before leaving and thought we were good but sure enough three days after getting home my card was charged $50 for HOA fine. When I called to find out details I was told it was for being out past 10 PM on our back porch. No ticket not phone call or anything only a $50 charge three days after leaving. I tried to work it out with Destin Palms but they were NO help. I asked if we could get some money back from the HOA since the hot tub out at the community pool was broke the whole time we were there with a "out of order"note posted, I was told sorry but No. I would not stay here again and I will never use Destin Palms Vacations again.

Again perfect for us. I agree with another review on having the owners go in for a week, staying and giving some TLC.
Snowbirds
Property manager was super, taking car of minor things quickly.
Great location and near beach, we did a lot of beach walking
Nice big house and clean, the carpets could be shampooed
Kitchen well stocked
Ice machines did not work and should be replace or repaired-we didn't need as the refrigerator machine worked fine
Golf cart was nice when hauling to beach, probable a great asset in the summer
