Guestbook comments from the manager

My husband and I recently got back from staying at "On The Rocks" I can't put into words how wonderful this home really is. It has the most gorgeous views and top of the line appliances and decor. And, Cindie was such a wonderful host. She answered so many helpful questions about St. Thomas prior to our flight and made herself available while we were on the island in case we needed a thing ( which, we did not) I am counting down until we can return and we wouldn't stay anywhere else"

Thanks again for everything,

Katy

Couple's Paradise

  • 5 of 5

My husband & I spent 10 days at "On the Rocks" for our 25th anniversary. I tend to research to a fault and poured over our options for a long time before narrowing our choice to 2 villas. We ultimately chose this one because I wanted to be able to hear the ocean. We made the perfect choice. The view from virtually every part of the villa is breathtaking! The pool was cool and refreshing. Sleeping with the doors open and listening to the ocean is a dream come true for me. The villa has everything you need to make you feel at home. I woke almost every morning, made coffee and sat on the deck watching the sunrise. There are many restaurants very close by and I loved spending time at Magen's Bay as I'm a beach bum. It was wonderful to be able to be shaded by trees when we needed so we didn't burn. Our favorite place to eat was The Grille at Mahogany Run. The food was always on point and not as pricey as you'd expect on an island. Once we were home, I took the knowledge I had from our vacation and looked to book a villa knowing what I know now. I came to the conclusion that I would go right back to this place. Cindie helped us very quickly whenever we had a question or concern. We're already squeezing our pennies to try to go back next year. We typically take a trip once every 5 years but after this trip, we can't wait that long to return!

Dream Worthy

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I recently visited St. Thomas for our 20th wedding anniversary. We had the privilege to stay at “On the Rocks” and it was nothing short of fantastic! When we arrived, there was a couple drinks, a bottle of rum and soft jazz music playing throughout the house. It set the mood for the rest of our stay! The view from the decks of this house take your breath away. To be able to sit and hear the waves crashing against the rocks below while looking across blue waters at other tropical islands, well… it’s the things that you only dream of. The house is perfect in size for a couple. It’s well equipped with everything you need to cook in if you so desire. The bed was very comfortable and the open air shower was amazing. The constant breeze allows you to be comfortable without using the AC, however, we did use the unit in the bedroom at night only because my husband is accustomed to sleeping well with the temperature low. We used the pool to cool off while sunning on the deck and it was perfect. We had one day that it rained from morning until evening and I have to be honest when I say, it was our favorite day on the island. We stayed in all day at “On the Rocks” and just enjoyed the stress free atmosphere it presents. Our anniversary could not have been more special. Thank you Cindie and “On the Rocks” for allowing us to experience such a dream worthy place.

Sublime!

  • 5 of 5

Sleeping while hearing the waves shush below and feeling the salt air breeze over you...waking to the surreal view of Hans Lollick Island above your toes, breakfast on the porch watching the colors change over the rocky ledges as the sun rises and the iguanas scurry over the treetops, unbelievable views wherever your eyes turn, plunging in the pool after a day of exploring the Island, lying on the outdoor couch to watch the shooting stars....the feeling of privacy and intimacy...our time at "On the Rocks" was all this and more as my husband and I celebrated our 30th anniversary. The house is well cared for, but does show the affects of salt life... an expected tradeoff for it's proximity. It was comfortable and beautifully decorated to blend with nature. We did all our own cooking and enjoyed the best seats in the house every night! The kitchen was well stocked and Cindie left us some thoughtful starter items. We had problems with the air unit going wonky (we didn't use it, but it was shorting and beeping unnoyingly) and Cindie had it tended to within hours. Our rented compact car served us well for some adventures. The house is minutes from Magens Bay, and "Famous Delight"...the best milkshakes in the world. It is also centrally located, convenient to downtown and both east and west. Don't miss Mermaid's Chair at the western tip if you like secluded beaches! Well worth the hike. This was a trip we will never forget and we are hoping to return.

Beyond beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I came to St Thomas to celebrate our anniversary, and we were blown away at how beautiful the villa and the views were. If you're looking for a quiet, romantic place to stay away from the crowded hotels and condos, this is the place. Magen's Bay is a short 5 minute drive away, which is where we spent most of our time when not at the villa. Cindie was great to work with and always was prompt when answering any questions we had. Can't wait to come back!

Beautiful Villa With Spectacular Waterfront Views

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent an idyllic week at this beautiful villa. The views of the Caribbean and surrounding islands are spectacular. There are many terraces and balconies from which to enjoy those awesome views. The pretty pool and waterfall are perfect for afternoon swims. The open concept villa is well appointed with a lovely living room and dining area, comfortable king size bed, nicely equipped kitchen, two TVs and tasteful decorative accessories. There is even a view from the bath!

Cindie, the property manager, was great to work with throughout the rental process. Excellent communicator! She left everything we would need for breakfast - a thoughtful and appreciated gesture. She also was incredibly patient with us on the night of our arrival. We went out and could not find our way back to the villa in the dark. Cindie helped us navigate back to our lovely retreat. One thought: it's a good idea to set up at least one cell phone before traveling. Ours came in very handy.

Scenic Magen's Bay is about a mile from the villa. It too is spectacular. There are a lot of activities on the island plus St. John is just a ferry ride away.

Although we enjoyed exploring St.Thomas once again, we most of all loved spending time at the villa. On The Rocks is a wonderful place and one that we would love to return to.

A honeymooner's dream..

  • 5 of 5

My husband found & booked this villa for our honeymoon -- boy did he and Cindie knock it out of the park! It's perfect for couples looking for secluded relaxation, unreal ocean views and easy access for island-hopping. Very well kept, and we loved the indoor-outdoor lifestyle it provides.. falling asleep to the sea breeze & waves. Thanks to many recommendations provided in the Villa's info & guest books, we found plenty of great dining on the island and easily made two day-trips to explore St. John with our Jeep. We also had Spa 2 Go come to the house one day, went Scuba Diving in Coki Beach, and enjoyed the nearby Magen's Bay. The islands were perfect in June - great weather, no crowded beaches, & surprisingly no mosquitoes. When we come back to the VI, we will no doubt stay at On the Rocks again!
