1. sal har 4 soveværelser 1. sal mester konverteres til et børneværelse, som kan sove op til 6. Soveværelse 2, 3 og 4 har hver fuld eller dronning size dobbeltsenge sove 2 per værelse.

Master soveværelse med Queen på 2. sal med stort åbent køkken stue / spisestue 2 glasskydedøre til wrap omkring dæk og grill. Stue har 2 store lædersofaer og ruskind stole.

Parabol-tv med 2 tv'er én i stuen og én i soveværelse. WIFI hook up til rådighed. Private baghave med privatlivets fred hegn velegnet til udendørs spise og lave mad. 2 zone varmt vandvarmere ene ovenpå og én ned ad trapper giver mulighed for masser varmt vand.
EF-dock til kajak og krabbefangst på Salt Pond. Vi tilbyder 3 kajakker til din eksklusive brug med crabbing garn til brug for børn i kajen.

Vores indgang er på tværs af gaden fra Fresh Pond State Park. Gåture / Cykelsti er én blok vest. Downtown Bethany Beach shopping er en mile i bil.

Sørg for at besøge SeaCrest gavebutik på Garfield og Boardwalk. Kig efter lokale akvarel og fotokunst af Rosemary Carroll og sige goddag til ejere Liz og Ed.
Bedste morgenmad i området er enten Ocean View Diner eller Penguin Diner. Begge omfatter Gluten / hvede gratis menuer.

Cafe 26 er vores yndlingssted til middag, men vi har mange af de øverste kokke i nordøen her i området. Difebo; s har to af de mange kandidater fra CIA (Culinary Institute of Arts) i New York. Nantuckets i Fenwick er fantastisk

Nattelivet er stille i Bethany, men en kort køretur (15 minutter) i begge retninger bringer en til Rehoboth Beach / Dewey Beach til Nord eller Ocean City, MD mod syd.
G & E Hockers har den bedste tysk stil deli, bageri, købmand, isenkræmmer i DE. Det har også den nærmeste benzinpumper. Sørg for at prøve butikken kogte delikød og bagværk. Det drejer sig om en 1/4 til 1/2 mil vest på Fred Hudson Road.
* Der er parkering til fire biler på sort top indkørsel. Studiet på ejendommen er brugt af ejere og har grus indkørsel foran det for ejerne. Hvis en gæst har brug for noget overhovedet, kan vi nås og vil gøre vores bedste for at sikre, at hver gæsters ferie bliver en BETHANY BEACH HOLIDAY tradition!

The Pilot House was absolutely wonderful for our family. A welcoming home with the bonus of a relaxing pool area where we spent much of our time. Our host Rosemary was super responsive and had great information about the area. Bethany is a fabulous beach with a small town feel and the location of this house was fabulous ... close enough to be convenient, but a little ways away from the noise and bustle of town. I highly recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!!

Everything was perfect except the weather but apparently Rosemary the host, couldn’t help with that! Wish we could have enjoyed the beautiful pool more but so glad we had a gorgeous home to spend most of our rainy days in. Rosemary was a fabulous host and wonderful to talk to. The welcome basket was great and so unexpected. Amazing place to stay!!

Lovely location and property. The whole family really enjoyed the pool. Used it every day after the beach giving us time to reconnect at the end of the day. Rosemary was very prompt with fixing any issues we had. Location is any easy bike ride to the beach, grocery store and a few bike trails. The owners had two bikes, severalKayaks and beach chairs for our use which we took advantage of. Recommend bringing extra paper products as what was supplied did not last more than a day for our group of 14. Nice quiet location

We had a wonderful time vacationing here. The pool was a big hit with the whole family from seniors to little kids. From the dining room you can see the Salt Pond. The community crabbing pier is just down the block. Can't say enough about the hospitality of the owners.

Rosemary was a lovely host--- she really took into consideration what we wanted to do on vacation-- giving plenty of recommendations for kids and adults. She included special touches for everyone. House is just as described and pool was a hit too. The beach is about a 5 minute drive (if that). Thanks Rosemary!

The house was clean and our family enjoyed our stay. However, sheets are not included. The owner said it is listed on site that they are extra for 150, but I could not find it at that time. Towels were not washed. Ice maker was broken and not repaired. Pool was not cleaned until the 3rd day. The owner did give us a 50 gift card for the arcade; the kids had a good time.

A Relaxing Beach Week

The owner was very attentive to our needs. We wish we were closer to the beach but we were able to enjoy the pool, the pier, and the state beach, which was only a 10-15 mins drive away.

Great location

The house is beautiful and roomy. Wonderful layout. The pool was perfect. Short little walk to Salt Pond for kayaking and crabbing. So close to downtown Bethany, everything you need right there.

Family Vacation 2024

Our family - eight adults and four children - ages 7-14 - had a wonderful week in Bethany at this property. The house was perfect and the salt water pool kept kids and grownups happy when we we weren’t at Bethany Beach, Rehoboth, or Ocean City. The location was perfect - as was the weather. The location provided running trails, access to a kayak pond, and was only a short drive to Hocker’s grocery. All this made for a very pleasant week away!

Beach House 2024

Perfect location, secluded and yet close to the beach and many other activities. House is very comfortable for all ages. The host is delightful and an absolute pleasure to work with. We had another fabulous week. Thank you Rosemary.

Wonderful vacation home

Spent a wonderful week in this beautiful home. Accommodated the 12 of us very nicely. Kitchen well stocked and happy to see a Keurig. Some of us enjoyed the kayaks on the bay and crabbing from the pier only a short walk away. The free parking passes for the beach were appreciated. Since it was a very hot week, the lovely pool was probably our favorite pastime. The owners were very friendly and helpful when needed. Would not hesitate to stay in this rental again.

Best vacation ever!

This was our yearly family trip to Bethany. With the grandkids nearly adults we didn’t mind being a bit farther away. We usually stay close to the beach. The property was clean and the pool inviting. We had close access to the highway but yet not on top of it. We enjoyed crabbing at the Salt Pond too. Everyone we encountered was friendly. Our only negative comment would be to have access to a second refrigerator. With 5 bedrooms and 10 + people staying it would be very helpful. Otherwise it was everything we could ask for.

Fabulous Vacation

Everything about this property was perfect. The house was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. The teenage girls especially loved their space with their own bathroom. We also enjoyed the pond for paddle boarding but most of all the boys were so excited about catching so many large crabs at the dock. It was very convenient being so close to the house. The pool provided so much fun for all of us especially the kids. Rosemary and Billy are wonderful caring people who respond quickly to any issues. They work hard to make sure your vacation is a good one. Thank you

Wonderful week at Bethany

We had a wonderful time at this property. The house was beautiful and spacious, and perfect for our kids to play safely. The baby gate was much appreciated! We loved having the pool right outside for our private use and the location being so close to the state park and Bethany. We also enjoyed using the kayaks at the picturesque Salt Pond at the end of the private road. Thank you for opening your home to us! We’d love to return again in the future!

The owners were very helpful and super friendly. We enjoyed the crabbing and kayaking that was just a short walk away. The house was large and we all were happy with the space. The house has a salt water pool that was the perfect size. They had nice outdoor furniture and a gas grill by the pool. They provided a pass for the State parks so we did not pay for parking.

Great Relaxing Beach Getaway

This property was as represented. Very clean, spacious, nicely appointed and comfortable for my entire family. It suited our needs perfectly. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood, yet very close and easy access to all of the things we love to do when we go to the shore. The owners, Billy and Rosemary, were kind and quick to respond to any requests or questions we had. Thank you for sharing your home with us, we highly recommend it to others!

Perfect Family Vacation Spot

The Pilot House was the perfect location for our family vacation! We found your home to be spotless and nicely furnished, and very well supplied. The pool and the location of the house provided fun for everyone from our 3 toddlers to our golfers and bikers. It was convenient to the beach and boardwalk, and the grocery store. We were also grateful for the many local attractions on the rainy days!

Inground pool was awesome and nice to have, just bring your own floats and air pump :) The Keurig didn't work but regular coffee maker was fine. Bill and his wife are wonderful people and a pleasure to talk to

We have lived in Bethany Beach for nearly 30 years. We have been involved in the maritime industry for over 70 years. My Dad was Chief Mate on many Liberty ships, owned a lobster boat and supplied ships with parts and materials-handling. Many of my children pursued a maritime college career path and then my husband and I started a non-profit to train and place deckhands on tug boats, ferries and cruise ship lines.
We decided to christen the house, THE PILOT HOUSE! A pilot is a Captain of unlimited tonnage who navigates ships through dangerous or congested waterways, such as the harbor, bay and winding rivers with shallow shoals, changing currents and challenging bends. In all kinds of weather, these pilots bring the ships up river to safe harbor in Wilmington or Philadelphia. Some members of our family, who grew up in this house, are pilots. As our salute to these brave men and women who risk their lives, daily, we named our house, THE PILOT HOUSE! We love this house and the small town atmosphere of the "Quiet Resorts" and hope you do, too!

This very private community we always loved the setting.
The house is designed to maximize covenience and utility for a large family yet maintain individual privacy. The Kitchen and Living area are on the second floor for the view. The open 2 story foyer unites upstairs with downstairs. Yet the bedroom occupants can get quiet respite from the rest of the house by simply closing their door.
It is secluded yet very convenient. It is a 3 hour drive from the bridges and tunnels into NYC. It takes less than 3 hours from Philadelphia. It takes 45 minutes to get to Salisbury, MD. Baltimore and Washington are each about 2-3 hours. All final driving times depend upon traffic so we always leave as early as possible.

But the property is very convenient to local attractions, businesses and shopping as well. The beaches are just down the street. The State Park system is across the street. Ocean City amusement parks and night life are a 15 minute drive. Dewey Beach and Rehoboth Beach are 10-15 minutes away in the opposite direction.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

There is enough to do within walking/biking distance that you can literally stay here for the week and never use your car. However, Movie Theaters, Amusement Parks, Water Slides, Restaurants, Grocery Stores and other attractions are very close.

We fell in love with the Salt Pond and the activities here. We especially loved kayaking and crabbing with young children. Early morning sunrises with a cup of coffee and a camera while sitting at the dock or later at night watching the sunset are a unique treasure here.

If you have young children and/or grandchildren you must visit FUNLAND in Rehoboth Beach. This family owned amusement park has been in continuous operation for over 60 years and is considered a National Treasure. The rides designed for toddlers are so amazingly simple and inexpensive for young parents that it is a miracle that they still thrive economically. If you head to Ocean City one of the best things to do with little kids 12 and under is the Pirate Treasure hunt. You go out on a real PIRATE boat and hunt for treasure. It's a must every year for our little ones!
