About Kristy and Mike Driver

We are passionate about cycling (mountain and road). We moved to Fruita for the year-round cycling and warm weather.

Kristy and Mike Driver purchased this house in 2014

Why Kristy and Mike Driver chose Northwest

We purchased this home because of it's wonderful location in the Grand Valley Estates neighborhood. The upscale homes in this neighborhood are well maintained, quiet and family orientated.

What makes this house unique

The interior of the home is 2 stories, which has the unique quality that keeps the upstairs bedroom areas quiet and private from the downstairs living and dining areas. The kitchen is huge for creating meals with lots of chefs.

The brand new bike path that runs right next to the home is convenient for walking the dogs. The covered outdoor patio is great for getting out of the sun and relaxing on those hot days. The privacy fencing if perfect for dinners on the patio.

Wedding week!

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful property...very very nice! We stayed at this house for our son's wedding. It was a wonderful landing spot for our out of town family...we had 6 adults staying and 1dog but we could have easily slept 8... it absolutely 100% met our needs...Kristy was over the top accommodating and I highly recommend this beautiful home. We hope to rent this property again!

The perfect place to stay in Fruita!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for four days while we explored the area and went on an overnight rafting trip. There were four of us although part of our group only stayed for a night. However they had two dogs and all of the gear for our rafting trip. This house was perfect for this. They have a fenced in back yard for the dogs and a double garage with an extension into the back yard so we could keep all our rafting equipment safe and out of site. A very well equipped kitchen. An outdoor eating area where we all had dinner one night. Great showers, beds, TV and wifi. What else could we need? It was so much better than staying in a hotel with our motley crew and schedule. Thanks so much we had the best time!

We enjoyed our stay at the Juniper house.

  • 5 of 5

The house was spacious and very clean. It had almost everything we needed. The location was not bad either. From our perspective, there are 3 things that we feel the house needed. The first is that each bedroom needed its own TV. When there is a group staying together, it is hard for everyone to decide what to watch on only one TV. The second suggestion is that you put curtains in the bedrooms. The sun comes up early and its quite bright in all the rooms. When your on vacation you might try to sleep a little later than normal. The 3rd. thing is try to get someone to remove all the wasp nests out from around the patio areas. We had several encounters with them. We did remove a couple of them. Overall the experience at the Juniper house was great. Kristy was very nice and accommodating. I would recommend this property to others.

Owner's Response: Thank your for your feedback and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. 1. In order to keep our fees reasonable we can not afford to put television and cable in each of the bedrooms. 2. There are plantation style blinds in each room of the house. There are no rooms without these. We don't feel it's necessary to put up "black out" curtains like they have in hotels. We want to make our guests have the comfortable of home. 3. Each week we spray for wasps as it it seems to be a problem in Fruita. We are addressing them as often as we can. Thank you for staying with us

Beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

This house was clean, big, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. What was even sweeter is it's dog friendly with a fenced backyard. It's a unique find.

Tons of things to do in Fruita Colorado for singles and families alike. The high desert area is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and thrillseekers. The Colorado National Monument is a treasure right our our back door - tons of scenic hiking, road biking and sightseeing. Fruita is famous for it's mountain biking - more trails and less crowds than Moab. Each year the Trail Alliance is building and improving our trail system. If you think you know all the trail - think again! Have you tried 'PBR'? Between the quiet country roads and the climbing over the Monument the road biking is outstanding. You can do a 100 mile loop by going from Fruita to Palisade and back! Other fun family stuff is horseback riding, river rafting, Highline State park beach and visiting the Dinosaur museum. Pizzerias, coffee house, brew pubs, sushi house, a deli and much more are right Downtown Fruita. There is a weekly concert series, ice cream social and the farmers market is Saturday mornings with tons of goodies from local ranchers.
