  • Very Well Appointed; Comfortable, Clean and in a Great Location

"Our group of 8 adults reserved this property to celebrate our friends 40th birthday with a ski vacation in Vail. The unit is clean, comfortable, has an excellent layout, modern appliances, a gas grill and is very well stocked with cookware, utensils and preparatory items (cooking oils, etc) for cooking as well as plenty of towels and linens (there are even humidifiers in every bedroom). All four bedrooms have at least a queen size bed and the two upper bedrooms have en' suite baths providing plenty of privacy and functional utility. The free bus service to Lionshead and Vail is less than a 5 minute walk through the complex; the community hot tub (so nice after skiing all day) is close by and has a heated changing room. The project appears very well maintained. Local grocery shopping, liquor sales and other services including ski rentals are located in west Vail, a 5 minute drive from the property. This is by far one of the best VRBO experiences we have ever had and give the property and Owners our best recommendation. We'll be back!"

  • Fabulous Owners - Great Location - Beautiful Lakota Vacation Home

"We have been going to Winter Park during the summer since 1983. Our recent time was one of the best due in large part to the Lakota home we stayed in that is owned by Troye and Kevin Skipworth. Here are some reasons: Fabulous Owners: As we considered where we wanted to stay in Winter Park, Troye and Kevin responded immediately and clearly with the questions that we had. As we moved forward and as questions came up, again there was no hesitation to their responses. There were no surprises when we arrived at their condo. Everything was exactly as they had said. Great Location: There are many choices to choose from when considering a stay at Winter Park. Our number one location choice had to have a view of the mountains! Period! There condo did whether we were sitting on the deck or sitting in the living room, cooking in the kitchen, or eating at the dining room table. The view was great. They even have a telescope mounted in the living room. Winter Park offers many choices of activities during the summer months and the Lokato homes are perfectly located for so many reasons. Beautiful Lakota Vacation Home: When we look for a home to spend precious vacation time, there are a few non negotiable's. The bed sizes need to be to our liking (King) and updated. The beds were wonderful for everyone! The media that is offered also needs to be up to date. The Skipworth's offer the higher end of Xfinity/Comcast and their TV's are Smart TV's which means we were able to view such packages as Net Flicks. Each bedroom has their own TV. Both of us love to cook so the kitchen needs to be accommodating for us. We rarely eat out. Their kitchen had everything needed for us. We used the grill on the deck every evening and we loved the fact that the gas line is directly hooked up to the home. No portable tank to run out while we were there. We also used the hot tub which easily accommodated us 4 adults. There is nothing like being in the hot tub later on in the evening under a Colorado clear sky. Thanks Troye and Kevin for allowing us to stay in your vacation home."

  • Perfect Honeymonn!

"We rented this beautiful cabin for our honeymoon and could not believe how perfect it was! It was a beautiful drive from Denver in our rental car. Everything from the views to the master bed was amazing! We grilled out steaks from the local grocery stores every night and probably spent 98% of our time sitting on the porch enjoying the mountains and lake views. We made friends with the chipmunk who lived under the stairs and a huge herd of elk (might be just huge deer with fuzzy antlers?) greeted us in the mornings as they made their way down the mountain. The hummingbirds were zipping around the pretty Wildflowers. It was just amazing! It was literally seconds from the little town of Grand Lake which was so cute! The coffee shop there ahead the best coffee. We climbed Adams Falls and rented ATVS in the national park! We will definitely be making this a yearly trip and hope to make many more memories there!!"
