Our stay was wonderful. The beds were comfortable and the a/c worked great. I can’t say how anything else was because we literally only slept at the condo. We were up early every morning and out exploring the island every day.

The property was as advertised. The communication from the host about how to find, access the building and available amenities was excellent. The kitchen was well equipped and beach towels, chairs and umbrella were also available. Great location with easy access to grocery stores, restaurants and the beaches.
A short walk to KTA, shops, restaurants and other locations. A short walk to the ocean front in the heart of Kailua-Kona. Close to several historic sites too.
This condo was in an AMAZING convenient location! Great to park and then walk wherever we wanted to go in downtown Kona. Clean, safe, easy stay.

This was a really nice place to land after getting in from the airport. After a long day of travel on a plane it was really nice to have a place so close to the airport. It was easy to find, had its own parking spot and very close to a lot of stores and restaurants. There check in and check out process was very easy.
The hosts are conscientious and clearly communicate at every step, the location is wonderful as a home base for ranging all over the big island, the pool was a welcome way to close out each day, and we appreciated the oh-so-comfortable bedrooms. Just a great low-key find.
Just a short walk to the beach. Grocery stores, cafes and restaurants in walking distance. Beds were super comfortable w ac in rooms. Exactly as advertised. Great water pressure in shower. Had beach chairs, boogie boards and even clear snorkel solution! Only challenge was the gas stove, dial did not control flame so it got a little stressful trying to find something to turn the flame off. I notified the owners and hopefully they will take care of it. Parking spot was directly infront of condo. Definitely would stay again! Mahalo!!!
This place was really nice and right in the beginning of town. We had a celebration of life at Hale Halawai which was walking distance from the unit. This place was cute, so perfect. I hope I am able to rent this unit again in the near future. Mahalo nui!!
I chose this place based on other reviews about the location and I was not disappointed. A cozy condo right in the middle of stores, shops, and restaurants. Was able to walk to anything we needed, even the beach. The host was very responsive. Overall a flawless experience, would definitely stay again.

Very convenientt location! Waterfront, beach, restaurants, shops all within walking distance. Apartment has cute decor but very old and outdated walls and flooring. Could have been a little cleaner. Price was good, but tacked on fees were exorbitant
Property is old . Air con doesn’t work, linen thread bare and towels have holes. Issues with stove top and had to call fire department has host couldn’t help. We were told not to use it until it had been fixed. Host didn’t fix and we had to move after only 2 days of our 11 day stay which we paid for. No refund was given and host not at all understanding or apologetic. I was there from Australia for Ironman World champs and had this on my first two days of preparing for the event. It totally affected my focus and prep and ultimately my performance.

Needs some care.
This condo is in an old association. This unit needs work on kitchen windows and woodwork, entry door, lanai screens and shades. Floor in lanai is buckled because of water entering. Kitchen louvered window doesn't close tight resulting in wet floor when I arrived. Update in bathroom is pretty nice.

Just ok
Our hosts were very responsive and looks like the really care about our staying, but overall our family, 2 adults, 2 teenagers, didn’t really enjoyed the place. The apartment is smaller than we expected and outdated, even though the queen beds and linen were nicely comfortable; the lanai is not usable, is a closed extremity tiny space with screens, being at the first floor at the very beginning of the complex is not helping, the whole building complex is old and dated. And while it is walking distance to a lot of place we didn’t really like the surroundings, we chose it for the location, but we would not stay there again.
Very impressed with the location, walkable to all downtown in 20 minures or less.

> Assorted condiments (this saves you from having to buy some of them)
> 2-minute drive to Walmart for supplies - 12-minutes to Costco

> 30-seconds to main highway that will take you in any direction
> Wasn't expecting to use laundry, but we did and it was clean and the price was fair
> 20-minutes from airport
> Bed was comfortable
> Amazing shower pressure
Suggest repairing the bathroom floor tile, some of the grout was coming out and maybe a loose tile or two. Maybe add a lamp right at the front door so you can turn it on when you walk in at night.

A well-used, functional unit at a cost suited to those visiting Kona on a tight budget. Expect more, and you might be disappointed.
Very good Internet, television, and especially communication from the owner. Ceiling fans throughout. Location is prime for walking to everything the heart of Kailua-Kona offers. Short walk to pool and laundry (though we used neither).
Naturally, renters should not expect peace & quiet in this urban setting in a large, residential complex comprising, older, inexpensively constructed buildings. Two examples: The KTA grocery next door makes for super convenient shopping, but during our short stay, a small army of leaf blowers began work there daily around 6:00 am. And the, perhaps lonesome, gentleman who lives above the unit favors a routine of loud, lengthy, late-night and early morning phone calling.
The owner could likely cut propane(?) cost if the flame for any of the four stove-top burners could be adjusted lower than the High-to-Medium-High range possible.
We shared quarters with a few geckos in addition to the big, decorative one on the wall. :-)

We are pleased that the condo was sufficient for your stay; however, we are always doing our best to make the property more than simply sufficient. Being located near stores, shops, and the Kona pier is convenient, but, as you mention, the urban setting does include the expected level of noise. You are the first guests to encounter geckos in the five years that we have owned the property. We are making adjustments to keep the little creatures outside where they belong. We do not promote the condo as a high-end hotel, but as a clean, comfortable, and conveniently-located place to stay in the heart of downtown Kona.
