Pine Lodge is a fully furnished family owned and operated cabin that sleeps 14 comfortably with three large bedrooms and an extremely oversized loft (more so like an upstairs in design).

The main (entrance) floor offers a spacious living area including a open floor plan concept of a Living room containing a wood stove, dining room and fully equipped kitchen that connects out to the large 1/2 wrap around porch offering a gas BBQ, making this an ideal cabin for large family meals. The main floor also provides guests with a newly remodeled full bathroom, three bedrooms; the first being a queen bedroom having french doors opening up to the private back porch and covered hot tub. The second and third full size bedrooms offer private additional room for 2 additional couples.

After ascending the hand crafted spiral staircase off of the living room guests pleasantly arise into the great loft encompassing a television/gaming entertainment area offering a double futon convertible bed at first sight. The loft also provides additional sleeping for 6 in twin beds with a 1/2 bath. Within the open bunk area of the loft the young and young at heart will find a foosball table for hours of entertainment! The loft offers a private balcony through yet another set of french doors with relaxing/star gazing seating overlooking the backyard and family circle recreational burning area.

Guests can enjoy nightly fires with friends and family utilizing the wood burning outdoor fireplace while enjoying the peaceful sounds of the wilderness and the seasonal creek!

The cabin sits just minutes from National Forest and the Cowlitz River.

Pine Lodge Guests will have free access to the two Timberline Village pools, tennis court, basketball court and large tree surrounded recreation field.

Skiing, fishing, kayaking, hunting, mountain biking, hiking and wild mushroom picking are all able to be done in the nearby forests with Mt. Rainer National park being just minutes from the cabin.

About Pine Lodge

Husband and wife Joseph Taiwo and Irene Botero own Pine Lodge. They, along with sons Patrick and Jeremy live in the greater Seattle area. Jeremy, is a 2016 U.S. Olympian in the decathlon! Yes he made the U.S. team and came in 11th place in Rio! He followed in his father's footsteps, as Joseph was a two-time Olympian in track and field in 1984 and 1988.

Pine Lodge purchased this cabin in 2003

Why Pine Lodge chose Packwood

Joseph and Irene designed their cabin and construction was completed in 2003 by Randle Woods, a local artisanal construction company. All of the supporting deck logs came from trees felled on the property as did the large trunk supporting the unique spiral staircase to the second floor. The owners fell in love with the area while staying at a friend's cabin in Packwood and fulfilled their dream of building and owning a vacation cabin that they and their two boys could enjoy year round. Winter recreational activities abound in the area with snowboarding, skiing, sledding and snowshoeing at White Pass, and snow-machining on local trails, just 20 minutes up the road. In the summer, the area lakes and streams which are usually stocked provide loads of fishing opportunities. Hiking is plentiful in the surrounding national forests, and in Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier National Parks. One of our favorite summer activities is enjoying a scenic 2 hour drive over White Pass into the Yakima Valley to enjoy area wineries. The cabin itself provides a wonderful opportunity to relax in the hot tub, to play board games with family and friends, to star-gaze, play a round of croquet in the back yard, roast marshmallows in the fire pit and to explore Coal Creek, right across the road.

What makes this cabin unique

In the summer, make sure to visit one of two community pools across the highway, enjoy a game of horseshoes, a tennis match, or a rousing game of basketball. Also, just across the street from the cabin, make sure to wade up Coal Creek to the rock slides and water falls about 20 minutes upstream, and/or hike to the falls and rock slides overland on the local trail. It is a well kept community secret that deserves to be shared! Please enjoy our cabin as much as we have over the years and make yourself at home in this beautiful location!!

5 stars all the way. We definitely would stay at Pine Lodge again.

The cabin was perfect. The city of Packwood is less than four miles from the cabin, making grocery shopping and buying gas convenient. The cabins location is perfect to make day trips to Mt.Rainier National Park and surrounding areas. We loved our stay at Pine Lodge.

Great place to stay. Well kept and fantastic decoration. Nothing is missed. We wish we had booked 3 nights instead of 2.

Great family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful family vacation at Pine Lodge. There were 9 adults, 2 kids and 1 dog and everyone had enough space to enjoy themselves. We loved sitting outside on the porch to eat dinner and then around the fire pit at night. There are so many fun things to do around Packwood but our favorite adventure was going up the creek across the street and sliding down the rock slides and swimming in the water holes. I would highly recommend this place for anyone with a large group.

Great lodge!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at Pine Lodge. We pretty comfortably fit 12 people (6 adults, 6 kids), especially since we could spill outside to the awesome picnic table on the porch. As others have noted, the kitchen was well stocked and we cooked and BBQ'd easily. The hot tub was hot and relaxing and fit 4 adults. The yard is great -- lovely, mature, with a nice fire pit to use. The surrounding area is gorgeous with a rushing creek nearby that we were able to explore. We utilized the swimming pool as well, which is a 5 minute drive away from the lodge. It was better than expected - two decent sized pools, one about 3.5 feet deep and the other up to 8.5 feet deep, clean and warm (over July 4), with many water toys, noodles, life jackets, and even goggles to borrow. It was a great trip! Thanks so much to our hosts, we really enjoyed your place.
