Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
Although the location and great appreciation for the owner to share their home with us, there are a few issues.
We had ants in the kitchen. The heater seemed to have a mind of its own regardless of following instructions and what the handy person had instructed as well. We kept it set and as soon as it would hit the desired temp, it would shut off as well as the pilot.
There was a very deep dip on the deck as you exited the slider, which I almost fell into at our first arrival. The shower entrance and step with threshold at the bottom was very dangerous and I fell on it and now have bruises on both legs and an injury recur. In addition, the space between the sink and shower were very dangerous. I was assuming the floor rug leading from the master was sound. Unfortunately, it was not, which is why I fell. It slipped from under my feet, regardless of my being cautious. There is one more issue in the entry to the living room. The threshold is far too high and there was no note advising this was an issue. Unfortunately, I tripped on it on my way into the living room upon our arrival. And lastly, the steps down to the backyard, although very cautious, are at a terrible angle and are slippery. We whole heartedly understand as it happens.
We are disheartened as we love this little cottage and its location, however, we will not stay here again. :(
My husband and I just celebrated our first anniversary at Dulcinea's Cabin, a place we'd stayed at a decade ago. We love it because we can take our dog. Everything was as we remembered except, I'd bet the Pacific is closer now! The location is fantastic. The kitchen is so well stocked, though by no means fancy, that we made all of our meals there. We really enjoyed our stay, both times. We've always gone in winter. I can only imagine how great it would be in warm weather!
We enjoyed a cozy stay and had a great experience. We were able to access sections of the beach that were "off the beaten bath" from the home. We also loved the well equipped kitchen and view from the living room. The beds were so comfy that it was hard to get up and enjoy the view!
We enjoyed the fire pit in the backyard overlooking the ocean!
