The Wilson Ranch is a modern log home built in 1960 but it has been kept up to be a comfortable and spacious retreat. You can also recognize this ranch from its brand 'Triangle Lazy V'. This log home resides in the beautiful Gypsum Valley (near Eagle, CO) and overlooks a working cattle ranch. The Wilson Ranch is a 3000 square foot picturesque log home that will truly help you feel you are in the heart of Colorado while still being close to grocery stores and amenities. In the ranch you can spread out and enjoy a large great room, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor fireplace deck, huge grass lawn and picnic tables, gas grill, foosball table, Direct TV, wifi and lots of space to enjoy with your family or friends.
You can have fun hanging around the ranch with recreational activities on-site: hiking, stream or lake fishing, stream-hike, or you are only moments away from some of the most breathtaking sights Colorado has to offer. It is also close to major ski resorts: Beaver Creek 25 min., Vail 35 min., and Copper Mountain 55 min. Other recreational activities you will find nearby: hiking, mountain biking, hunting, Glenwood Canyon Hanging Lake, Glenwood Springs (Olympic-size mineral pool, Glenwood Caverns, Amtrak train), Fulford Cave, fishing (lake and stream), Sylvan Lake State Park, zip line adventures, horseback riding, jeep tours and much more!
It is 1.5 miles to closest grocery store and only 2.5 miles from the international Eagle/Vail airport (EGE) where a car can be rented.
This log home is a haven where you can recharge your batteries and make wonderful memories. I truly believe there is no better and more peaceful place to be than looking over the gorgeous Eagle Valley on the lawn of the Wilson Ranch. But don't take my word for it, come see for yourself!

My name is Craig Wilson. I coordinate the operations and reservations of family and guests staying at the Wilson Ranch. My grandfather build the ranch house in 1962 and operated a cow/calf operation of 160 head of cattle. Since that time, the ranch has been passed from one generation to another from my grandfather to my father and now to me any my siblings.
We have a strong bond as a family so the ranch is a place where families can come, relax and have fun together. Our family heritage places high priority on having guests and making them feel comfortable. Our guest books at the ranch bear this out.
The Wilson Ranch is a quiet place with great vistas from any window and provides room for families and friends to gather together. Depending on the time of the year, you may see the cattle grazing nearby. It is especially fun to watch the calves during calving season March through May.
We spent a winter-wonderland weekend at the Wilson Ranch house with our two sons and their families for an early Christmas celebration. The outside temperature dipped well below zero, but we were warm and cozy inside as we enjoyed this spacious house. Our grandkids all slept in the basement where they played foosball and darts long after the rest of us had gone to bed in the comfy kingsize beds on the upper level. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals for a large crowd and it was great that all 13 of us could enjoy eating at the long dining room table together. It's hard to describe the incredibly beautiful views from the large windows of the horses and cattle in the midst of the snowy pastures and against a backdrop of the snow covered mountains - so peaceful and serene. The ranch is surprisingly close to the town of Gypsum which means groceries and restaurants are easily accessible. We would love to stay there again during the summer so that we could take advantage of the outdoor deck and dining areas. Our grandsons climbed up the snowy ladder to check out the awesome treehouse, but it was just too cold to play up there during our stay! We made some happy memories being together and enjoyed every minute of being in such a comfortable house. And thanks to Craig Wilson for welcoming us so warmly with his emails and helpful information.
The house is in a great location providing a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, but is still close to town.
I have stayed in many time shares and never had a better experience than at the Wilson Ranch. Craig was very responsive to the few questions I had.
Our 3 generation family of 11, 6 adults and 5 children, enjoyed immensely gathering at the Wilson Ranch home for 3 cold, snowy nights in December. The home was spacious enough to give the kids a place to play and sleep downstairs and things to play with (foosball, darts, cards, puzzles, games, sleds) as well as grounds with a sledding hill, rope swing, animal watching and kid's fort. The adults could have quiet conversations on the main level, play piano, cook and visit in the spacious, well-equipped kitchen, eating areas and living room with tv and fireplaces. The location has a rural feel but is easy to find and not far from conveniences. We'd love coming back!
We just spent the weekend with the family at this great spot. We were there with our extended family and it worked really well to have a main gathering place (by the fireplace!) with plenty of other rooms to give families/couples privacy. The kitchen has plenty of pots, pans, and dishes - so cooking for a crowd was no problem. The views are incredible and we had fun snowshoeing nearby and enjoyed the pool at the rec. center in town, only minutes away. Love it!
We loved the Wilson ranch! The kids were able to spread out inside as well as outside and with all the big windows and the open lay-out, we felt we could keep an eye on them while still letting them feel like they had the freedom to roam. The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to make cozy meals and the bedrooms are comfortable and enjoy great views. I'm coming back again soon!
