Great group lodging in West Yellowstone at a reasonable price
I highly recommend Cabins West Lodging in West Yellowstone. Seven family members and friends stayed in the Teton Townhouse for a week in October 2015 to do some fishing in Yellowstone National Park and found it to be spacious, very clean and beautifully decorated with a rustic open beam western flair.
There was plenty of extra room for more than our group of seven even with all our gear. The appliances, furniture and finishes are in great condition and the amenities and well stocked kitchen and laundry pantry made it as convenient as staying at my own home. When a light bulb burned out in a desk lamp I just opened the laundry pantry cabinet and there were extra light bulbs right where one expected them to be. We did a lot of meal preparation including baking pies and making bread since the days were short, and found all the dishes and utensils needed to "get 'er done."
In my search for lodging I looked at several similar properties but they were either several miles out of the town of West Yellowstone or significantly more expensive. Wanting to avoid the extra drive into town for miscellaneous food items and into the Park we chose to stay right in West Yellowstone. In the past we booked groups of motel rooms with kitchenettes and then dined in one of the groups rooms, but the cabin model was much more convenient and as cost effective.
As for the owners they communicated with us well at each point of our stay from booking to final departure and even provided us with cans of bear spray so that we wouldn't get stuck with cans that we couldn't fly home with on the plane.
Great place in West Yellowstone
We stayed here for a family get-together for four nights in September. The place is very new and nicely constructed. It is on one property with three units - the owners live in a separate unit connected to this unit, so they are around to answer questions, give recommendations, respond to any needs. They were helpful in suggesting eating options, and where the closest pharmacy was. The large bench seating and table were great for games and chatting, and the location is great for walking around town, no need to drive anywhere. It is layed out well, with three bedrooms upstairs, and one on the main floor. Two have two beds and two have one bed. We were very happy to have the well stocked kitchen for cooking when we didn't want to go out, and preparing lunches to take into the park each day.
PERFECT LODGING IN WEST YELLOWSTONE FOR GROUPS TRAVELING TOGETHER
I made contact with Oly way in advance of our scheduled trip and she provided me with helpful information. I also paid the deposit as well as made an additional advanced payment. Oly and Jeff also send me confirmation of payment, as well as additional information and instructions on our planned stay.
We arrived in West Yellowstone and found the cabin very clean and perfect for our needs. Each person and partners in our group quickly found their comfortable room and settled in. The kitchen has everything you need and me prepared all our meals there or on the BBQ out front.
The cabin is within walking distance of any place in town - shops, restaurants, museums and other tourist attractions. We walked from the cabin to the Main Street to watch the 4th of July parade. We watched the fireworks that night from the cabins fire pit area!
The cabins are a few blocks from the park entrance and is the perfect base camp for exploring the National Park.
Jeff and Oly were very friendly and helpful. We called on Oly one day just to ensure that we had turned the coffee machine off before we left for a drive through the park - she responded quickly and assured us it's no problem. Jeff also allowed us the use of his power washer to rinse the bugs off our vehicles! Thanks Jeff and Oly!
We would definitely return to the Teton Townhouse in future.
House was new & spacious. We had 5 adults, 5 children. Location was very central, easy to walk to many places in West Yellowstone. Furnishing were clean, rental quality. Gravel driveway.Great to have wireless internet, washer, dryer, dishwasher, large refrigerator., big TV. Owner was helpful with local referrals.
This place is an excellent place to stay. They really know how to take care of everything needed , right down to a waffle maker. Great people and a very good location . Anything that you could need that they don't have Jeff can point you in the right direction. Myself and the rest of my friends and riders will never stay anywhere else.
House for a winter wonderland
A family of 5 of us stayed in this beautiful house during the week after Christmas and beyond New Year. The house is less than one year old and newly equipped with everything for modern living, from flat screen TV to internet connection and the 5-element radiant electric cooktop to a large refrigerator. The convenient location of the house is in walking distance to grocery store, gift shops and museums, and to many tour companies that supporting winter sports like snowmobile, cross country ski, and tours to Yellowstone National Parks. It is also a convenient spot to start trips of your own to nearby Parks and Forests, especially in winter when you can drive snowmobile or ski right to the front door of this house. The host Jeff and Oly also live on the spot and are very friendly, helpful, and promptly in response to everything we need. We made both snowmobile (to canyon region) and coach (to Old Faithful region) tours to the Yellowstone National Park, and “cruised” the nearby National Forests by snowmobile and cross country ski. It is a wonderful experience in a life time for our family and will be remembered for a long time.
Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center, Yellowstone IMAX Theater, Yellowstone National Park, Quake Lake, Mesa Falls, Big Springs and many more sightseeing oppurtuinities.
