  • Sky, stars, trout, eagles, mountains, rivers and Yellowstone too!

"Perfect getaway and base for adventure. Great log cabin home with plenty of room for large family to relax and rejuvenate, Plenty of things to do and see within reasonable distance (in Montana terms) from this home base. Virginia City, Glacier Lake, Yellowstone and Big Sky are within an hour drive. Fish on the Madison River right outside the back door of the house, or get a guide to float you down past the house on one of the best trout fly fishing rivers in the US. Hike, horseback or drive on the plateaus or into the mountains surrounding you. Watch the sunrise over one mountain range in the morning and watch it set in full color in the evening while enjoying your beverage of choice on the spacious deck. Then stay out to enjoy the Milky Way, planets, and plethora of stars that can only truly be appreciated in Montana...there's a reason why it's known as big sky country. And if you're lucky enough to have a lightening storm roll through while you're there, you are treated to nature's fireworks. Follow the paths of bald eagles, hawks, ospreys, pelicans, herons and other birds as they cruise along the river or soar in their thermal updrafts. And plenty of other animals great and small are just waiting for you to notice them. You can't find a better place to start from, and return to, while you discover Montana, Yellowsone, and the Rockies."

  • great location and well equipped

"Stayed for six days visiting Yellowstone National Park. Just blocks away from the West entrance to the park and many good local restaurants. Very comfortable accommodations with plenty of room. Owner was very responsive and accommodating. While fully equipped, I only used the Microwave and the coffee pot during my stay as far as cooking goes. The washer and dryer were nice to have and allowed me to have all my clothes cleaned before leaving at the end the stay. The off street parking was a huge convenience to unload all of the baggage. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend this over a hotel any day."

  • Wonderfully secluded

"Everything we needed (except coffee and hair dryer... bring your own) for a wonderful private Yellowstone experience. The property was great for relaxing mornings or evenings when not in the park. The park was not packed in early September like it is in the summer so it was perfect for just the 2 of us on our anniversary!"

  • Unique home on Yellowstone's doorstep

"Staying at AC Inn, with it's hand-crafted details and amenities, was a highlight of our visit to Yellowstone. I feel like we had a taste of life in Montana, rather than just another hotel room. A welcome respite from Yellowstone crowds, it has a huge living and kitchen area, and the gorgeous timber king bed upstairs is almost too comfy..! Nothing was too much bother for the host, Mike. We decided to make use of the firepit and he kindly chopped a barrow full of wood for us, even though he was in his way out to an event. Thank You!"
