About Chris Edwards

We've been coming to the Mt. Baker ski area for years and always dreamed of having our own place to stay in Glacier instead of having to drive all the way home to Seattle. We love the environment and slower pace of life found in Glacier. We were finally able to purchase this great cabin in 2014 and we love the idea of being able to share our amazing cabin with others.

Why Chris Edwards chose Glacier Springs

Glacier Springs is a great place to stay. It's extremely quiet and laid back. You won't have other cabins right on top of you like the other neighborhoods in Glacier. This is one of the few places you can stay near Mt. Baker and truly experience a secluded vacation the way the locals like it.

Beautiful quiet mountain getaway

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved staying here. It was clean, beautifully decorated, quiet, and close to lots of hikes. We had everything we could possibly want there (spices, pots, pans, a dog bowl for our pup, wireless, comfy beds etc). We had a perfect weekend!

Beautiful, comfortable, clean, well-located cottage in the woods with one caveat

  • 4 of 5

Unfortunately, we were there while the air quality was at its worst and we couldn't even see the mountains, so our planned hiking vacation was altered because of this. We did hike along the Nooksak River trail, which was conveniently close to the house, and was beautiful even without a mountain vista. The house was clean, comfortable, well-appointed and had everything we needed. There were only two of us so we didn't use the upstairs, but there was another queen bedroom up there as well as a bath. Also there were two charming twin beds in an alcove outside the second floor bedroom.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that this is not the place for you if you have a sensitivity to fragrance. Everything in the house, from furniture to sheets, pillows, towels, etc, reeked of fragrance-infused cleaning products. Even the hand soap was perfumed. At first I developed a headache — it took at least a day to get used to the reek. We loved the cabin but would be unable to stay there again. I know not everyone is sensitive to fragrance, and some people love it, so I'm certainly not recommending avoiding the cabin. Also, we had to keep the windows closed because of the outdoor air quality from the fires. To sum up, this was a lovely, spacious cabin in a great location, but not suitable for fragrance-sensitive guests.

Great weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at this cabin. It's cozy but has enough space for everyone to do separate things, plus lots of room for kids outside. The fire pit was a big hit. We'd definitely stay here again.

Perfect cabin

  • 5 of 5

Great cabin with comfy beds, a well-stocked kitchen, and a fire pit. Party of 6, 4 adults and 2 teens, had plenty of room. Hiked several days around Mt Baker. Mini grocery store is 4 miles away. Quiet and peaceful location. I would return for sure!

Great family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderfully relaxing time during out stay. The cabin has a great layout and had everything we needed. It was clean and beautifully appointed. We had a few rainy days, so the spacious layout of the cabin and the covered front porch came in handy. The rail bunks are great fun. We had such a nice time that we've already booked for a visit in the Fall.
