Our charming sunny, cozy 2 BRD spanish house was built in 1926 and was recently renovated, keeping it's original style. It has both front and back yard. It's located within 2 min away from Fix Cafe, Elysian Park, about 5 min driving from Downtown
The house has two bedrooms ( one of the bedrooms has a Tv- apple Tv ), one living room with TV and another Apple TV and fireplace with two big, very comfortable couches ( can sleep 2 people), one very large kitchen ( completely equipped with everything that you need - pots, pans, coffee maker, Blender, toaster, microwave,silverware, glasses etc) , one laundry room ( with a washer and a dryer) one bathroom , patio (where you can have your breakfast, or a cup of coffee in the morning and admire the beauty, or in the night time a glass of wine in a very romantic setting), front yard and a back yard ( back yard has a table that accommodates 6, its very quiet, serene, and private surrounded by trees and flowers) .
The house has an amazing positive energy!!

Echo Park is going back to its roots as a creative and artistic center for Los Angeles. The original silent film studios originated in Echo Park including Elendale and Keystone Studios. Other creatives who have called Echo Park home at one point or another are Steve McQueen, Frank Zappa and Shia La Beouf. Echo Park as part of “Hipster Heaven,” the set of neighborhoods in this section of LA that has a high percentage of the skinny-jeaned, vintage shirt wearing crowd. It definitely has its share of hyper-cool nightspots, like El Prado, a wine-bar that is more like a neighborhood watering hole (mostly locals) and The Short Stop, which is more dive bar than sports bar, drawing a lot of leather jackets and scruffy looking types. (There are also the dive bars, The Gold Room and Little Cocktails, just to name a couple.) If you are into dancing, The Echo or Bootie LA are the places to go.
Nightlife hot spots in Silver Lake are divided into authentic bo-ho hangouts (Cha Cha Lounge, Red Lion, Tiki-Ti, The Satellite) and upscale newcomers riding the rising rents (Mixville, Barbrix, Stella, Thirsty Crow).

My husband and I had such an amazing time at Elena's house! It's incredibly charming, spacious and clean, and the backyard is like paradise! It's so serene and quiet, and especially in this lovely LA weather, it was nice to just lounge. Also, it easy to get around since it's close to the freeways, and very easy to find. I highly recommend Elena's house for anyone needing a cozy and charming place to stay. I know we'll be back!

My daughter and I stayed at this lovely vacation cottage in Echo Park. It was very comfortable, clean, quiet and provided everything we needed. We were impressed with the decorating and the charming style of the home. It was very nice to have a private front and back yard. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch to relax and always felt safe as the front gate could only be opened with an access code. We found that it was convenient for us to visit area attractions too. The only thing we could think of that would have been a nice addition was if a history of the home could have been provided. It would have been fun to read about the house and its previous owners and to see pictures of the house when it was new and what the neighborhood looked like then. We enjoy that kind of thing. Otherwise, we are both so glad that we found this gem. Thank you for providing such a nice place to stay for travelers.
The house, a mile and a half away at Dodger Stadium, was charming and perfect for two baseball fans spending a week watching the World Baseball Classic. The neighborhood was quiet and easily accessible by car or public transportation. Parking on street was easy. There is a fine little coffee shop / cafe across the street. Internet and Cable TV worked well. But most impressive of all were the friendly owners Dave and Elena, who were super accommodating. Highly recommend staying here.
We brought our 2.5-year old son and this home met all the requirements: front and back enclosed space to play, multiple sleeping options, laundry facilities, easy parking, and a quiet neighborhood. The home was very comfortable, well maintained, and clean. We had everything we needed. We were able to cook inside and grill out. We spent a lot of time at the house and greatly appreciated the private outside space. Our hosts checked in with us (via HomeAway email) frequently and even fixed a plumbing issue right away. The only downside is that we have AT&T service on our phones and could not make calls at the house - but that is an L.A. thing, certainly not the fault of the homeowners. We would stay here again and recommend it without hesitation. My son was calling it his "other house."
We were satisfied overall with our 2 month stay. However the kitchen was not as completely equipped as expected (pots old, not enough matching tops). The shower was difficult to use and did get adjusted but was on the way to stiffening up again.Also there was no rug in the living room or mats by the beds.If we had asked for more attention I think we would have gotten it because whenever we called we got quick response. It was unusually cold and rainy while we were there and the heat was excellent.We spent most of our time at our daughter's up the hill but the heat in the morning and evening was welcomed.
The biggest drawback however is the inconsistent phone/text message reception due to being in the valley between two hills I suspect.It may be because we have Sprint and evidently L A is Verizon territory.
