  • Stunning Malibu Property

"I travel to Malibu for vacation in August typically every year. I also try to stay at new unique houses each time I go. Villa Calcare was absolutely beautiful. The property has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The pool and hot tub are amazing and the views are great from every room. The bedrooms are very spacious with plenty of room and each bathroom with the exception of one has a great shower with built-in sauna. This is the ideal vacation house to rent in Malibu if you have 5 or more guests or a large family. The in-house movie theater with reclining leather seats was another great touch. Access to broad beach is also less than 5 minutes away and is within walking distance. Lastly, if you like to cook, the kitchen has everything you will need and is decked out with a Viking gas range and Viking refrigerator. There is also an outdoor grill at the pool. If you are planning on dining out, there are plenty of restaurants within a 10-15 minute radius. It's difficult to criticize anything about this property, but in the interest of providing the best review I can, I will list some things that others may wish to know. The downside of being literally right off PCH is that you *will* hear traffic in the morning. It can be heard from every room and there is nothing you can do about that if you are a light sleeper. Also, if you like to sleep in on vacation, don't anticipate sleeping past 8 am. There are no blackout curtains and the drapes are very light and easily allow the sun to brighten every room in the morning. These were really the only things that were an issue for me during my stay."

  • Nice place in LA

"Enjoyed our stay at David's place while visiting LA. He was really helpful with any questions and his parents live a few doors down so they keep close eye on the place. A parking place right outside the door in the back is also nice. Very well equipped with wifi, many TV's, good kitchen equipment, towels, etc.. Grocery and places to eat are only a few blocks away. We had planned on leaving after four nights and going to San Diego, but comic con was going on. Ended up extending our stay two days since the place was so nice. Drove down to San Diego during the day. Being from south Louisiana, we are used to having AC, but this place does not have it. All windows open and fans are in every room. We have friends that live there and they don't have it either, so must be common to just ride out the few hot days. Was never an issue since we did not spend much time there during the day."

  • Great Place! Great Time!

"Four of us stayed to celebrate my oldest son's graduation from UCLA. My two son's 22 and 21, myself and my husband's sister (unfortunately my husband could only stay for the graduation). That gives me a perfect excuse to come back with my husband! Location, location, location! There is not a house with a better location. You can easily walk every where. We rented golf carts one afternoon just to see more of the island. It was really fun. Now to the house. It is exactly as promoted. It's old and well loved. It was like staying at a friend's beach house. Not a rental property. The bedrooms were all comfortable and the bathrooms seemed somewhat updated. We were caught a little off guard that the door into the house leads into a bedroom but had no problem with that. We did not take advantage of the kitchen (too many good restaurants to try) but it had everything you need. Spent a lot of time on the deck, people watching and playing games. The deck was my favorite part of the house. There were people staying in the apartment above and did not even notice they were there. No problem with privacy if that is a concern. Huntington Beach has been my favorite beach to visit in Southern California not anymore. Wish we would have visited Avalon and the Grisham House sooner. This was our middle stop on our southern California vacation and everyone's favorite. It was a perfect way to spend great time with my son before he moves to India for the next step in his life. Thank you Randy! We'll be back"
