Guestbook comments from the owner

The Owners wear great at providing all of the arrival information. The house was in a beautiful setting minutes from the stores of Meadows of Dan and right off of the Parkway. We even had some deer in the yard to welcome us.

Great place for a family gathering

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved this place! It was sparkling clean on our arrival. We loved preparing meals in the well-stocked kitchen and lounging in the living room. My parents stayed in the cabin across the pond, so we were a group of 14 for most meals and it worked out fine. While the frigid temps (single digits at night!) kept us from making use of the sun rooms or outdoor seating areas, the furnace had no trouble keeping the house warm. We enjoyed daily walks in the area - loved visiting the church and the Mayberry Trading Post. Many thanks to the Woodys for providing such a lovely place for our family to gather!

Beautiful, scenic, comfortable for our large group

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time and there was plenty of space. The sunroom is one of the best parts of this house. The kitchen was able to accommodate our emergency food stores. The pond was small and there were only small fish. The wifi also barely worked and there is no service out there except for Verizon. Thankfully a landline phone was provided.

Would definitely come back and see more of the nature sights. Highly recommend Lovers Leap Overlook.
