We moved to Acworth fifteen years ago and immediately fell in love with the small town feel. Convenient access to 75, Atlanta, shopping, AND steps to Cauble Park, beach, playground, and walking trails.
Beth Hudson purchased this studio in 2000
The studio is a two minute walk to Cauble Park and Lake Acworth. Great clean beach with wonderful playground for kids of all ages. Five minute walk to uptown dinning and shopping. Conveniently located 2 1/2 miles from Interstate 75 making travel to many local sites historic, sports, and entertainment just minutes away.
Just what we were looking for....restful, comfortable, near nature, and recreation. Beth and Edward are wonderful hosts, as many have noted on review. Any need we had, they were willing to address beyond the 'call'. The property was as close to lakefront as you can get in this area. The location was a stones throw from the water and Cauble park, fishing, small walking trails. Historic Acworth was charming but the city was about 10 mins to retail and supply shopping if needed. The apartment was spacious and versatile. Thank you Beth and Edward. If I were to suggest anything, it would be awesome to have a larger fridge available though I had three coolers of varying sizes that met our needs.
We rented this cozy little apartment as a supplement of staying with my inlaws for a week. Beth and Edward were amazing hosts and the apartment went above and beyond our expectations. I've informed my husband that this is our go to from now on!
My original plans had to change, so instead of enjoying the amenities offered, I had to recuperate from surgery. The Hardins were very sweet, giving me privacy and quiet, while I convalesced. The place was very clean, and there were adequate supplies provided. I would recommend the place to friends. If I had to find one fault it would be the refrigerator. It was way too small, and virtually no freezer, when I craved some ice cream! All in all, everything was fine.
We really enjoyed our trip to Ackworth. It was a neat quiet little town. This studio surpassed our expectations. Beth and Edward were great to work with and they made us feel right at home. We are definitely planning to stay there again next year.

My family traveled to the area for a baseball tournament. The studio style apartment was a perfect fit for our family. We thoroughly enjoyed the space as it had all that we needed. Edward and Beth were great hosts and took care to make sure we were comfortable. We very much enjoyed walking around the lake and downtown area. What a beautiful town, great neighborhood and quiet, relaxing atmosphere. We would definitely recommend this property to others.
We stayed at Beth and Edward's wonderful studio with our grandson for 4 days and we couldn't have been happier with the accommodations. The space was perfectly as advertised; it was a very roomy studio for the 3 of us with plenty of amenities. Lots of towels, nice beds and bedding, more than enough utensils and cooking supplies in the kitchen, DirecTV and a DVD player, beach chairs, beach towels, a big gas grille (which we used twice with no problems...gas included!)...AND...best of all (for us, anyway), it was a mere 90 second walk to the beach and playground at the lake. We're usually ocean goers and I'd forgotten just how much fun it is to swim at a nice lake. There were plenty of kids for the grandson to play with and lots of room to lay stuff out on the sand. Beth and Edward are great hosts, fun to talk to and the dogs are fun and friendly, too! And all of this small-town hospitality is only 40 minutes or so outside of downtown Atlanta!
I would highly recommend this very reasonably priced getaway and would definitely stay there again when back in the area and looking for some lake-side downtime...THANKS, you two, it was great!
