This is my own little 'pied à terre' in Paris... Totally renovated this Jan/Feb... New kitchen, new closet, freshly painted, floors varnished, etc..... ! Situated just behind the Picasso Museum... a 40-square-meter loft... wooden floors, unusually large bathroom (with bathtub!) with a wooden statue of Ganesh overlooking you; the place is full of charm... you are allowed to talk to the African paintings on the walls as well as native statues from Colombia and Mexico... the upright piano has been tuned this summer... The building is very quiet. The flat is on the 1st floor, a very short way up.

New full kitchen, new bathroom, new paint, new electricity, new a lot of things...

The place is very quiet and fresh. It has 'good vibes'... one of those places, for some odd reason, you just feel good there... That is what people tell me anyway...

To situate the flat, you are 30 seconds away from the Picasso Museum... a minute away from the now famous rue de Bretagne.... I will not describe the neighbourhood, you must know it by now...

Please note that there is no view... Do not expect to see the Eiffel Tower or God knows what other Paris monument; you will not.

It is really ideal for a couple; it is a little nest... Its strong point: it has a heart... it's definitely not your usual anonymous rental flat... it's little funky, but very charming... that's what people tell me......

Returning and Getting To Know the Extraordinary Marais Better

This is a one of a kind apartment, everything and more than the high expectations that the photos and information conveyed to us when we were looking for a place to stay in the midst of the Marais. For a week we thoroughly enjoyed re-visiting old favourites and finding many more, helped greatly by Paolo's recommendations. Paolo's rental would be our first choice any time we return to central Paris.

Stay like you live in Paris

I thought I would brave the RER from CDG and after a quick transfer and a 10ish minute walk I was there! I did get an Uber back to the airport though. Took about the same amount of time. The place is easy to find, has a code for the main door into the courtyard. A short flight if stairs up and you're right there. It's a studio apartment with a separate bathroom/laundry and separate toilet. I found the fan useful to keep air flow and the room cool. The bed is firm but very comfortable. I slept really well. Nice big pillows. The bathroom has a bath with a hand held shower, and a washer and dryer. The kitchen has everything you need, and a table and chairs to eat at. TV, piano, books all available. I loved the location. Public transport is super easy to find and navigate with the ratp app. It's stay here again. The host was easy to contact and friendly.

Paris 2024 - rhine river - Amsterdam

Paolo’s flat was perfect for the two of us. Very clean, very well decorated and very comfortable. Paolo was phenomenal in communications for checking in, suggestions on places and things to do and checking out along with the apartment information. Highly recommend Paolo and his flat!

A Great Little Hideout!

Looking for a great place to stay in Paris? This is it! We were not sure what to expect in this area of Paris, but we found out quickly that this is the place to be! From amazing boutique shopping, first class museums, natural food stores, incredible cafe's and if you like night life-it comes to life here on the weekends! But do not worry as the apartment will be quiet. There is an excellent market a few blocks down the street with fresh fruits, meats, and a variety of food stalls selling Italian, Greek, Moroccan food and much more! A Jewish area is near by with fantastic bakery & falafels. Local music entertainment ranges from classical, at the cathedral, to hip hop at the bars and everything in between. The apartment has plenty of space and a fully stocked kitchen, bathtub with handheld shower, big bed with nice linens, a couch and a separate water closet. A washer & dryer just adds icing to the cake. The big Paris attractions like Eiffel Tower and Louvre Museum are easy to get to by the metro. Nearest metro is just a few blocks away. The host is easy to communicate with and is always willing to help and give good suggestions. With all the crowds in Paris lately we had a comfortable and stress free time here. Thanks Paolo!!

Lovely studio

Perfect! Everything as described. We loved it. Great area (Marais) with lot of restaurants, little shops ... Easy access to the metro. Studio is large, very clean and one of the best equipped apartments ever, great! Very cozy and charming. Easy check-in and check-out. Very good communication just in time with the friendly host Paolo. No traffic noise or other - so we could sleep as long as we want. My wife loved the piano. We can highly recommend this studio and want to come back as soon as possible :) Rainer

The perfect hideaway in Paris

I loved staying at this property! The Marais area of Paris and the Apt is just great, super clean and easy to check in .Everything that you would want is there for you to use from the kitchen, bathroom and the bedroom. Paolo is an amazing host and always ready to answer any concerns you would have. I highly recommend this place .

A hidden gem, in the fabulous Marais!

We were quite lucky to not only find this gem, but were supported by a kind and supportive host! The neighborhood is fabulous. It is a real lived in arrondissement, filled with absolutely everything you could imagine to make you feel like you are actually Parisian; not a tourist.

Great little spot in the artist district

We thoroughly enjoyed our time there! What a beautiful city and tons of places just a short walk from the unit. Once we were used to the metro and buses getting anywhere was quite easy. Paolo was an excellent host and great communicator!

Okay

It was adequate but not the lovely looking, cozy studio depicted in the photo. It was slightly run down and the art in the studio was, let’s say an acquired taste. However it was well equipped and had everything we needed. There was even a little food made available. I especially enjoyed the neighborhood. There was easy access to pick ups of Uber which we used a lot. Paola was especially communicative and prompt in his responses to my questions, which I greatly appreciated.

Good place to come home to

It was not your cookie-cutter VRBO. It was interesting and colorful and gave us the feeling that it uniquely reflected the personality of the owner. It was a good place to come home to after a busy day. This apartment is larger and more roomy than the pictures show because it has truly separate areas, including a kitchen area, a bathroom-laundry room combination, and a toilet room (water closet, powder room). The amenities are also ample. We particularly appreciated the washer and dryer. One more thing: There is no traffic noise even though you are in a busy location. Stayed there comfortably for the whole month of July and we enjoyed our stay.

Paris stay

We loved our stay in this very comfortable apartment. The location could not be beat…lovely and lively area day and night. The apartment is quiet, cool, and perfect for sleeping in on those mornings you just don’t want to get out of bed. It was well supplied with everything from umbrellas to kitchen items. The owner responded to our communications immediately and was tremendously helpful. I want to return as soon as possible. I made a serious mistake leaving…

Perfect Parisian Apartment

We absolutely loved our stay at Paolo's apartment. It is located on a quiet, peaceful street that is just two streets away from a bustling area with everything we needed (grocery, restaurants, a park, pharmacy, wine shop, etc.). The surrounding blocks are filled with restaurants and shops, we loved exploring the neighborhood. It is within easy walking distance of Notre Dame, Saint-Chapelle, the Louvre, and the luxembourg gardens/the Latin quarter, and there are nearby metro stations that took us to Gare du Nord, the Eiffel Tower, etc. The apartment itself was spacious and we loved having the kitchenette and laundry. Everything was as described in the listing and it was great communicating with Paolo. We had a perfect week and when we're in Paris again we would love to stay again!

January week in Paris

Just as described: a roomy, well-appointed, beautifully furnished and sparkling clean apartment. As Paolo says, there is little natural light and no view, but it is quiet and serene with important cultural sites (Picasso, Carnavalet museums), great cafes (Le Progres) and restaurants nearby

Everything as described. Wonderful experience!

Matthew was extremely responsive and had great details for self-check-in process, as well as great information about the neighborhood. Apartment was wonderfully decorated, extremely comfortable, very clean, and had everything we needed (even books to read and maps/descriptions of Paris). Neighborhood was magnificent. We felt like we were in our own little Parisian neighborhood as we visited the same Bistro every morning for our Croissants and Cappuccino and had lovely dinners at the the neighborhood Bistros every evening. Nearby grocery stores and markets had great items to bring back to the apartment and the nearby Patisseries had the best bread and pastries we've encountered! Easy walk to Seine and all the more bustling touristy sections of town. Highly recommend!!!

Great place, great neighborhood!

We really enjoyed last week at flat. It was exactly as pictured. It was spacious, quiet and well-appointed. This flat, in the Marais, is an ideal place for a couple. The neighborhood is cute, shops are all around and you will lack for nothing. The luxury of both a washing machine and a dryer was greatly appreciated. The funky and really enjoyable ambiance was just right. A big table, tv, small but well-equipped kitchen allowed us to cook and serve our own food and watch the World Cup. That was fun. Groceries are moments away, as well as museums, metro and more. The owner is completely responsive and accommodating. One of the best ever. He gave such thorough information before arrival…. And it was all a terrific. No wonder this flat is so popular. We’re going to be back!

Great location, apartment has some issues

Great central location in lively Marais among numerous cafes and shops. Entry and stairwell to apartment is very unappealing. Appartment itself it comfortable and well equipped. Be aware that thete are no windows in the apartment whatsoever that open to the outside, only to an interior shaft. We had seen rats so did not open these. Apartment felt airless and stifling with little daylight.

Exceptional experience

Great and super easy rental experience. Excellent communications from the owner with emails to make sure we had and understood check in process. Nice overview document of neighborhood and amenities. Very quite and a great place to get a sound night sleep after walking all across Paris.

Delighted to be near Musée Picasso and within a lovely neighborhood. We walked everywhere !

We will be back to Paolo’s place. It was in a great location with no road noise. There are good markets and cafés close by. Contact with the owner was seamless and helpful.

Felt like home!

I can't say enough great things about Paolo's apartment in the Marais. Perfectly central (and in one of my favorite neighborhoods) I ended up walking over the metro most of the time! It's actually bigger than it appears in the photos! And although central, it's situated in the building in a way that blocks the city sound and is a lovely tranquil place to return to at the end of the day. Paolo was very communicative and easy to work with re: checking in/out. The only problem, I didn't want to leave! I'll definitely be back!
