About MaryLee Trettenero

I've been a homeowner for over 27 years in this house. I remodeled last year and everything is almost new. I was in the hotel business eons ago but I like a more personal touch.

MaryLee Trettenero purchased this condo in 1987

Why MaryLee Trettenero chose Charlestown

My condo is in the middle of a famous historic district - 1 1/2 blocks from the Bunker Hill Monument and 3 blocks from the USS Constitution.. You can walk almost anywhere you want to go. Public transportation is 1 1/2 blocks away. You don't need a car in Boston. A cab or Uber gets here in minutes. There is a ferry in Charlestown Navy Yard that takes you to Long Wharf in Boston. A hub for the Boston Harbor Islands and other sight seeing activities. If you're tired and want to rest - it's easy to come back and recharge before you go out again. If you want to stay in and lounge - it's very comfy for that too.

What makes this condo unique

So close to Boston - you can walk there in 15 - 20 minutes. TD North Garden is also within 20 minute walk, as is North Station where trains going north originate. Free parking all weekend from Friday at 8pm to Monday at 8am on my street and anywhere in Charlestown. There are two big shopping malls close by - The Cambridge Side Galleria and Assembly Square Row. There is also a huge AMC movie theatre in Assembly Square Row. You have to make movie reservations in advance.

Nice place

  • 5 of 5

We did well here - my husband and I and our 17 year old daughter. It is a cozy space, but the Mary Lee has it well arranged and it works. It was great to have access to a washer and dryer, she is generous with shelf and drawer space for her guests and the kitchen was well equipped and well stocked and easy to work in. The location was super! We could walk across the Charlestown Bridge to the North End and beyond if you have your sturdy shoes on, and the neighborhood was fun to explore as well. We loved it.

Mary Lee was an attentive and helpful host. She was easy to communicate with and eager for us to have a good experience. We would definitely stay here again.

Owner's Response: Missy and her family were great guests. We texted back and forth a few times during their stay which I’m always happy to do to make things easier. I can usually answer questions and make recommendations that save my renters time. Everything was just as I had left it when I came back. I would love to have Missy and her family stay with me again.

Lovely location. Gracious hostess. Absolutely wonderful place from which to explore Boston.

  • 5 of 5

Marylee was there to greet us, and share not only the features of the condo but breakfast in the refrigerator and how to get to the places we wanted to see in the greater Boston area. She was extraordinarily helpful.

The Charlestown area feels welcoming and safe, and is only a few blocks from the Charlestown Navy Yard and a ferry to Long Wharf in Boston. We couldn't have selected a better place to stay with our twin granddaughters!

Everything we needed and then some!

  • 5 of 5

Plenty of room! Started out as get away vacation for 2 and ended up having my fathers funeral mid stay. Family members flew in from all over country so we ended up with 4 more adults staying with us for a few days with no problem.

Host stocked refrigerator with water and breakfast items for our arrival which was greatly appreciated. Store 24 and restaurants within walking distance. Also ordered delivery through the YELP app and it arrived within 30 minutes.

Large reading library with wide variety of topics. Comfy furniture. Very happy to have washer and dryer to keep up with towels for 6 adults.

We either walked or used Uber everywhere we went. The #93 bus was also available. Also rented a vehicle for a day from Enterprise in Summerville and they were avail for pick up and delivery. Zip cars are also avail in the area if that is something you need.

Highly recommend! Thanks MaryLee

Owner's Response: Thanks so much Laura Annie. I’m so glad we had the chance to meet and had a chance to chat about where things were in the house. Good to hear that everyone in your group enjoyed their stay. So glad I did the bathroom renovation over the winter because it can definitely handle a lot of adults. I was happy that my condo was situated well for everyone. My condo looked marvelous when I came back. Thanks so much for being great renters! Hope all was well with your fur babies when you got back home. MaryLee

Good choice for a Boston visit

  • 4 of 5

This property is a good place for one to three people to stay in. It is very accessible to the airport. It's nice to stay in a residential neighborhood (giving you a chance to get out of the density of the city) that is an easy walk or bus ride into Boston. Mary Lee is very gracious providing breakfast food and lots of cooking essentials. Everything about the condo was comfortable and the patio was an unexpected bonus.

Séjour familial en octobre

  • 4 of 5

Owner's Response: Mathieu and family were here for 4 days visiting Boston. They left my home neat and in good shape. A little snug for five people though fine for a family with small children. All the bedding, sheets, pillows, bedspreads, and half of the towels, are new this year. True to the pictures. Everything is washed regularly due to frequent rentals.

The Perfect Place for Us

  • 5 of 5

MaryLee's Charlestown condo was just the place for my wife and me during our recent one-week stay in Boston. We were close enough to the heart of the city, but not too close. We did not have a car, but from a nearby stop we took a bus to the heart of the historic district. We also used the ferry option from the Navy Yard. You can get the Super Tour buses from the Navy Yard, and the closest grocery store to the condo is there as well . MaryLee has on file a great many menus for local restaurants and other useful information. The Warren Tavern was a particularly pleasant dinner location. Breakfast essentials in the refrigerator were greatly appreciated. In every way MaryLee was a concerned and helpful host. Charlestown reminded us of Hampstead and Islington, two of our favorite areas of London. One word of caution: If you're taking a taxi from the airport, be sure you have specific directions for the Prospect Street property--our driver didn't have a clue, so we spent quite awhile circling the Bunker Hill Monument.

First floor of a three family house. Beautiful neighborhood in a historic district in Charlestown. Similar to Beacon Hill in Boston. You can walk into Boston in 20 minutes. I'm over the bridge from the North End that has wonderful Italian restaurants. Great festive night out. Every restaurant is wonderful! ****20 minute walk from TD North Garden where the Celtics and Bruins play.
