1000 Square Foot Loft Apartment
– a delightful, modern third-story studio apartment atop an owner-occupied, grand 1885 Victorian home (recently featured on the 2014 Tacoma Historical Society’s Tour of Historic Homes) in the prestigious Stadium District of North Tacoma. You will enjoy magnificent views of Tacoma’s natural and physical spectacles such as Stadium High School, Commencement Bay, Mount Rainier, Port of Tacoma, Vashon Island, the ebb and flow of imposing tankers, the charm of the Wednesday Sailboat Club, and, of course, the occasional grand bald eagle passing by. Our appealing apartment is an ideal choice for business professionals or vacationers seeking something more than an average hotel room and it offers a superb location just 2 miles from downtown Tacoma.
The Loft is a unique space of approximately 1,000 square feet. With a queen bed and queen sofa sleeper, it sleeps four persons. It is furnished and has a modern fully-stocked kitchen with appliances. There are large windows to take in the spectacular views, a covered balcony to enjoy coffee or an evening drink, private bathroom, and spacious closet. As the apartment is in an owner-occupied home, we also offer access to a grand front-yard terrace patio or private backyard hot tub. We also offer an optional extra bedroom with twin bed.

About Jeffrey Stvrtecky
Owners, Jon Douglas Rake and Jeffrey Stvrtecky, have been entertaining people their entire lives. The duo are co-founders and Artistic and Musical Directors of Tacoma Musical Playhouse. TMP is the largest community theater in the four-state Northwest region presenting six fully-staged musicals each season, three children’s musicals, a full-year educational program for youth and seniors. In addition, the Directors lead patrons on musical theater tours to major locations such as New York, Toronto, Chicago, San Francisco, London and many others. “We relocated to Tacoma in 1994 from Los Angeles after having restored five historic homes in the Historic West Adams District, one of which was a bed and breakfast. Our goal was to found our performing arts companies in Tacoma.” We pledge to make your stay at “The Loft” a remarkable experience, whether it’s for business or pleasure.

Why Jeffrey Stvrtecky chose North End
Drawn to the equally-impressive Historic Stadium District of North Tacoma with its wonderful Victorian and Craftsman homes, we saw the grand potential of 412 North C Street in spite of the fact it had been turned into multiple units by a previous owner. Now it is fully restored to its prior glory as a single-family residence, equal in stature to the surrounding homes of tremendous beauty.

Strongly Recommend! Lots of space, privacy, and close to everything
This historic house is beautiful and located near Stadium High School that is featured in a lot of movies. This is a great part of Tacoma and the loft has a gorgeous view overlooking Puget Sound. Location makes it easy to get down to the water quickly, downtown, or the university. The upstairs loft has a lot of space and is private from the rest of the house. Jeff really thought about everything you would need for the kitchen/bathroom/sleeping/local attraction guides for your stay. Jeff is very nice and accommodating to meet you on your schedule when you first arrive to give you the keys. After the initial meet up, I had the whole place to myself and felt free to come and go as I needed. Lots of privacy and never felt that I was disturbing anyone. I can't recommend this place enough! Unbelievable price for the area, very close to lots of hot spots in the city, and a wonderful host. If I'm ever back in Tacoma and need a place to stay I would definitely stay here again. Fantastic! Book it! You will love it!
Thanks so much Joshua. You're welcome to return anytime.
Totally enjoyed our stay,
The Loft was as described - great view and totally comfortable.
Only concern was the stairs - challenge for older people otherwise
I would return. I am still considering returning in the Spring.
Thanks Norman. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for treating the Loft with respect and leaving it in such nice condition.
Charming loft in excellent location
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this charming, historic home's loft. Bed was comfy! Large living space and large kitchen. A great value! We will stay here again! Would love to see a full length mirror added somewhere other than bathroom, that would be a big help for getting ready when someone is in the bathroom. Enjoyed the LOVELY views from the property. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Thank you Mary and visit again sometime.
The loft was everything it advertised. Jeff was a great host. Enjoyed our time there and would do it again.
Beautiful home with a beautiful view great location if you are looking to relax.
We wish we could have spent more time with our hosts, they where very respectful of our privacy but always genuinely friendly when we did run into them. The house is beautiful and in a gorgeous location. You should walk around and enjoy the architecture and near by parks. Would love to stay again.
Thanks so much. Enjoyed having you stay at the Loft.
Everything you could want
We absolutely loved our stay here. The room was perfectly put together. The view cannot be beat! We slept with the windows open to enjoy the view and the cool breeze off the water. We were so close to everything. We were able to walk to breakfast at the Harvester and get coffee at Tully's. The Thriftway was nearby so we were able to pick up a few things to store in the kitchen in our room. We were also close enough to walk down to Old Town for breakfast and a stroll along the water. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. We will definitely stay here again when we are back in Tacoma.
Thank you for these kind comments.
The Loft on North C St is in great proximity to all of Tacoma's Performing Arts: Tacoma Musical Playhouse, Tacoma Little Theatre, Broadway Center for the Performing Arts and others.
