Mom's Cabin - Relax Without Trying

If you want to enjoy a nice quite place to relax, this is the place! Located south of Charlotte on Lake Wylie, and close to Carowinds amusement park, Mom's Cabin has been given rave reviews by fellow travelers. The cabin has a dock, so if you have a boat, or want to rent one, there is a place for it. Fishing, swimming, and games are available to renters.

Mom's Cabin cabin was built in 1967 as a summer vacation spot on a Lake Wylie. In 2004, the cabin was expanded and central heat and air was added. The 1500 square foot cabin has a master bedroom with a king sized bed, a 2nd bedroom with king sized bed, a 3rd bedroom with bunk beds, a living room with DirectTV, a modern kitchen / dining area stocked
with plates, cookery and utensils, two full bathrooms, a large screened-in porch, laundry, and wireless internet.

Mom's Cabin is 10 minutes from Carowinds amusement park, 30 minutes from downtown Charlotte and Charlotte Douglas airport, and 45 minutes from Charlotte Motor Speedway. There are many other local attractions within easy driving distance.

If you have a boat, the property has a dock. There are several launches available on Lake Wylie to put in, and many coves to fish, ski, or just enjoy.

Mom's Cabin is a great place for family vacations, small reunions, or a nice place to stay in the Charlotte area. Mom's Cabin has an overnight limit of 6, and is not equipped to handle large gatherings or events with greater than 12 people. Mom's Cabin is a pet free vacation spot.

We had a fantastic 8-night stay at Mom's cabin and couldn't recommend it highly enough. The location on the lake front is really special and we had such a fun time in the water with our canoe & paddle boards. The nearby island, just a short swim away, with sunny beach and rope swing was a real added bonus.

We traveled to Moms cabin from upstate NY for a family wedding in NC. It was a fabulous location, we had our 4 year old grandson with us and we were able to do morning and evening fishing which he loved! Loved the screened in porch, it was an excellent week of adventure.

Great Family Vacation

The porch was so nice being screened in, especially in the Summertime. Family enjoyed the dock, fishing and swimming and kayaking to the island. Mom’s Cabin is a great place to stay.

Lake Life

It was a great time getting together with family and grand boys. Everyone loves the lake and one of the few sandy beaches was right across from the dock. Caught good fish and enjoyed the whole lake with evening boat rides.

Owner was friendly and responsive, property is well-appointed and the location is great. Proximity to Charlotte, NC and Rock Hill, SC makes this a great place to enjoy a lake vacation, but have all the conveniences of a larger city.

Truly a gem of a property. Everything was as described or better. The home had many touches that were appreciated, such as a Keurig as well as a regular coffeemaker. Check in was a breeze, host was responsive at all times, and we enjoyed our stay immensely. The screened porch is fabulous, and enormous. Direct private access to the lake is just amazing. Lots of wildlife and we loved that somehow we felt so far away from it all but groceries and civilization is really right there within a short drive when we needed it.

Property was great and also enjoyed the surrounding area, especially the town of Belmont and Papa Doc’s restaurant. Spacious cabin, we especially liked the master bedroom with views and porch access. February was a little cool for the lake and the porch, but we really enjoyed the views from the porch.

My family LOVED this property. The large screen porch and playground were a treat for my grandson and 2 yr old twin girls. The kitchen was the most well stocked kitchen of any previous VRBO properties I have used in the past, I highly recommend this property

My brothers and I inherited Mom's Cabin from our parents in 2013. It is where we spent our summers growing up, and where we have many lasting memory's. We all have separate lives now, but hope there are other families that can create new memory's at this special place.
