All the fun of RVing without the fuel expense and campground rental. Private spot with an amazing view (this is not your normal RV park ;). The Dakota is the highest point on our property and the views are amazing in all directions. We love to see pets join the vacation, but that doesn't change how clean we keep the RV.

We are a product of on online dating. Patricia moved from MN to the Northern Hills in 1979. Wade was born in Spearfish, but was living in Colorado, counting days until the next time he could get back the 'The Hills'.
Wade and Patricia Evans purchased this recreational vehicle in 2012
When we found the property online, we fell in love with the house... and Wade the shop. But after we came to see it in person and walked to the cliff... well, it was just amazing. You have to see it in person to understand. Everyday, we tell our 2 dogs and 2 cats, 'we are going to the cliff' and we all take a hike together, stopping just to sit and look. Seems like every hike, we see something new, we never noticed before.
So nice here, we had our wedding at the cliff edge in 2012. We have a hard time figuring out where to 'go' for a vacation... we feel we are living in our perfect vacation spot and now we have discovered that we really enjoy sharing our favorite spot and the chance to meet new friends in the process.
We want every guest to feel right at home and provide everything you could ever need. We treat our guests as family... that traveled from across the country and have what they need to relax and prepare for the best vacation possible. We know most families only get 1 or 2 vacations a year, we are very honored to be a part of that experience.
We stayed in the Dakota September 3rd to September 11th. What a wonderful experience. Patricia and Wade are such gracious hosts. They are available if you need them, but at the same time not hovering over you. The view from the Dakota is fantastic. The pictures really do not do justice to the actual experience. We walked around the grounds and decided that the Dakota has the best view. The camper has everything you may need (other than food) including a small crock pot that was just big enough to make chili in. Our time there was so relaxing. Ah, the hot tub. We saw deer and turkeys. Being birders we were amazed at how many birds we were able to see. And being from Wisconsin we thoroughly enjoyed no mosquitoes! Thank you, Patricia and Wade, Toy and Kae, for the wonderful time. (We decided that Wade is a mechanical genius.)
What a great get-away, Well maintained property with beautiful views that is secluded and quiet. Wade and Pat are great hosts who are helpful but yet give you all the space you could possibly need or want!. I can hardly wait to go back
The camper was clean, it was great having a kitchen, used the grill on the deck and hot tub!!! Will definitely be going back!! Thanks Wade and Patricia
Such a beautiful place, even better than the pictures. Patricia and Wade were so nice and helpful. Everything was very clean and the scenery cannot be beat! I would highly recommend any of their properties and we hope to be back!
We had a wonderful 4-day stay in the "Dakota RV" back in mid-July 2016. The RV was clean and spacious (at least for two adults and a dog); everything was as described in the listing - but even better. The location is perfect, overlooking fields and forests, and surrounded by trees. Even though there are other RVs on the property, each one is far enough away for it to feel very private. Wind Cave and Custer State Park are close by, as are grocery stores and restaurants. However, I wish we had spent more time simply sitting on the deck! The owners were very friendly and responded immediately to any questions we had.
Wade and Patricia are super hosts! The camper is very comfortable and equipped with everything you need. My husband and I came here to play golf and got a discount at Southern Hills, pay for 9 and play 18. It's a beautiful, challenging course. We also did the tourist things, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Sturgis, and many other sites along the way. Everything is less than 1 1/2 hrs away. If we ever get back here we would stay here for sure. Thank you Wade and Patricia!! Monty and Terri
