About the property

2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, Large Living Room, Amazing Views!

Chance of a lifetime to go on an affordable luxury rving vacation! No fuel expense, no camp site expense, no setup, no cleanup. Full setup kitchen, large house size fridge, towels, blankets, sheets. We have it setup so anyone can drive right up, walk in and enjoy! Kids can scramble around the 15 acres and let their imaginations run free.

Private spot from other RVs, with an amazing view (this is not your normal RV park ;). We love to see pets join the vacation.

Beautiful view over hot brook canyon.

King size master, bunk room with double and single beds. Sofa bed in living room for 2. Sleeps 7 total.

Brand new deck just added, for the hot tub and nice place to sit and relax.

Fire pit and wood provided! Let us know if you would like the 4 person hot tub during your visit.

Nice large bathroom and shower, fireplace, 39in popup tv with dish service, dinning table inside and outside under the 20ft awning.

Lots of big windows to enjoy the canyon views throughout your entire stay.

Ac, stove, frig, WiFi... All the comforts of home. Keurig coffee pot and K-cups, but don't forget to bring your favorite brews.

Enjoy everything from beautiful sunrises to amazing sunsets. With over a thousand acre view over the old Edgemont - hot springs railroad bed winding through the canyon, with a sprawling valley beyond.

Rv is parked in a secluded area in the trees close to the cliff, but still easy to get to with a car or motorcycle and well hidden from the main house.

The exact location of the RV, may not match the pictures shown, as we continue to experiment with the best settings.

Please remember this is a RV/Camping experience, the RV does have AC, but in the hot summer months we can not guarantee the RV will be as cool as your home. The nights typically drop down in the 50's/60s even in the summer, so with open windows, it usually is very comfortable sleeping.

Non-Smoking in the RV.

Just 5 beautiful winding canyon miles from hot springs.

About Wade and Patricia Evans

We are a product of on online dating. Patricia moved from MN to the Northern Hills in 1979. Wade was born in Spearfish, but was living in Colorado, counting days until the next time he could get back the 'The Hills'.

Wade and Patricia Evans purchased this recreational vehicle in 2014

Why Wade and Patricia Evans chose Black Hills

When we found the property online, we fell in love with the house... and Wade the shop. But after we came to see it in person and walked to the cliff... well, it was just amazing. You have to see it in person to understand. Everyday, we tell our 2 dogs and 3 cats, 'we are going to the cliff' and we all take a hike together, stopping just to sit and look. Seems like every hike, we see something new, we never noticed before.

So nice here, we had our wedding at the cliff edge in 2012. We have a hard time figuring out where to 'go' for a vacation... we feel we are living in our perfect vacation spot and now we have discovered that we really enjoy sharing our favorite spot and the chance to meet new friends in the process.

What makes this recreational vehicle unique

We want every guest to feel right at home and provide everything you could ever need. We treat our guests as family... that traveled from across the country and have what they need to relax and prepare for the best vacation possible. We know most families only get 1 or 2 vacations a year, we are very honored to be a part of that experience.

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

This place was awesome. nice views and real quite. Scott and Kelley would really like to thank Wade and Patricia for watching out for our dog when we left for the day. I would recommend this place to anybody looking for some peace and quite. We will keep this place in mind for next year, since we go to the rally each year. The hot tub felt great after a long day on the motorcycle and the cool nights.

Thanks again

Scott and Kelley

Great place for a little rest and relaxation!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay. Plenty of room for the family and a beautiful view. We were able to take in all that the region has to offer during the day and then come back and relax in the hot tub. We would recommend this to anyone who wants to experience a camper but not be super close to other campers!

PARADISE IN SOUTH DAKOTA

  • 5 of 5

If we could, we would give the Sandpiper 6 stars. My husband found this place and it sounded like so much fun. We were doing a tour of national parks and wanted fun places to stay. This was a little out of the way compared to the tourist towns but it is so worth the effort! The pictures do not do it justice. This trailer is so well stocked; Patricia and Wade thought of everything. So clean and attractive and the setting is breathtaking. While they have other campers and tents around their property, our place was very private. After sightseeing every day, we came "home" and simply barbecued dinner, sat at the outside table to relax and eat and then spent time in the hot tub enjoying the beautiful evenings. Wow! It was just perfect. One night it did rain so we ate inside the beautiful trailer and even turned on the cute fireplace for wonderful ambiance. We had one minor issue with the TV when we arrived and Wade came immediately to fix it. Perfect hosts in a perfect setting. Our son and daughter-in-law are planning a trip to Mt. Rushmore next year and want to book the Sandpiper after they saw our pictures. This is a special treat and so different than staying in a motel or apartment. Book it and you'll thank us you did!

Convenient, peaceful, affordable and comfortable!!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in Wade and Patricia's RV. Very convenient and close to some site seeing. Very close to Evan's Plunge even though we didn't have time to go this trip. Howie thanks you for watching him. He was as tired, as we were, after our trip. Thank you and we would recommend this peaceful spot on Evans Cliff to anyone. The hot tub is a nice touch!! I was very surprised at the space and especially the full size refrigerator/freezer so we could freeze our water to pack in the cooler for our outings on hot days. It was nice to have clean towels and wash cloths for all of us daily. The RV was well equipped with standard kitchen items so we could make our breakfast before we ventured out and enjoy sitting outside to eat if we wanted to.

Thank you for sending the few items we left behind. I would recommend this to anyone. Less expensive than booking a hotel. AWESOME stay!!

Great glamping experience!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed every minute of it! The hot tub was a huge hit with our kids. The camper was equipped with everything we needed. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming. Our only wish is that we were at the site more but we did a lot of stuff out and about! I would highly recommend this spot!

We stayed here for 4 nights and I have to say the views were awesome! Quiet and peaceful!! The hot tub was amazing, for an inflatable one, and It felt great after riding motorcycle all day. The camper itself was great too! The owners were really nice and friendly. We would definitely stay here again!!
