Dale and Don are great hosts. Their place is even better than the photos. Great kitchen, incredible views, beautiful landscaping and great out door deck areas right in the water! Couldn’t ask for more. Enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again.

Everything about this home was wonderful. The home is well appointed, immaculate, and with a stunning view. The hosts are wonderful people as well. We really hope to come back next year if this gem isn’t already booked. Do be mindful that it’s a private beach and quiet spot so it wouldn’t work for folks that would like to have gatherings. It was a sanctuary away from busy beaches and louder visits with friende, so that was perfect for us. Thank you Dale and Don for the wonderful stay!

The home was immaculately well kept, with fantastic hosts to greet us. It felt like half the house was windows, with amazing views from everywhere. Even while making dinner you can keep looking out over the cape. One afternoon we even seen a helicopter practicing landings on the shore during low tide. This home is a great balance between privacy, and access to all the restaurants and shops only a 5 minute drive away. We can't overstate how great our stay was. As many adventures as we had on our trip, the home itself was probably the highlight of our vacation.

The place was amazing, Don and Dale were very welcoming and as well were in contact if we had any questions. Home is nice and cozy and the life around in the air, sea, and on land is amazing such an abundance.

This is our second time staying here and it was just as amazing as the first time. We spent mornings out on the deck with the binoculars and coffee. We saw some whales playing one morning. The beach is quiet and secluded. The house is warm and inviting. Don and dale are excellent hosts!

Highpointe

A stunning panoramic view, lovely garden, peaceful setting - planes fly near by but it is thrilling to watch. Lots of wildlife seen such as otters, eagles, deer, rabbits and hummingbirds.

What a fantastic place to visit! We have done many stays across the island from Parksville to Sooke, and this place in Comox has probably been the best. The views from any room in the house are fantastic looking out over the bay. The beach is fairly private, with nice sandy sections to easily get in the ocean for a swim at low or high tide, but also there is an oyster bed and rocky sections that draw in the seals, otters, heron’s, eagles, whales, crabs, hermit crabs for lots of wildlife viewing. The house itself is well appointed - full stocked kitchen, nice yard, quiet neighbourhood. We were initially somewhat concerned about being at the end of the runway however the airport isn’t that busy, occasional flight take offs but inside the house barely noticeable, and most planes are relatively smaller, so not something that affected the stay - rather we enjoyed watching the planes come in, especially when the military was practicing touch and go’s. The house is well appointed. Beds are comfortable, home is clean and cozy, kitchen is well stocked with dishes/pots/spices, but also enough open cupboards and drawers that there was room to store the goods we brought with us. I don’t think there was any gadget that we were missing in meal preparation which made cooking our meals easy.The hosts were fantastic, responsive to questions, friendly to talk to but also respectful of privacy. I would have been fine to have them over for happy hour to chat as they are interesting people!

Comox Stay

We were very fortunate to meet Dale and Don. They were delightful and made our transition into their home very easy. Their home had everything that we needed and more. The location was awesome with access to a vast secluded beach at low tide.

Perfect Island Beach House Location

This place is amazing! We returned for a 2nd year and it was fantastic. The beautiful house and large meticulously kept property is perfectly located on a sandy beach with private access. The kids had no shortage of activities and games to play and we enjoyed all the scenic decks and views! We're looking forward to booking again in 2023

Million dollar panoramic views

Amazing views out of the living area windows. Lovely deck areas to sit and watch the birds and enjoy the scenery. Secret path down to the beach a big hit with our granddaughter! The home had everything we needed for a home away home stay. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Relaxing, recharging holiday.

This is our second year staying at this property. The view is amazing, the amenities great and the overall experience is everything we needed. Just sitting and relaxing on one of the decks watching the ocean and the planes landing nearby was great. There are many good, easy walking trails in the area for us seniors. We’ll be back!!

Wonderfully equipped home with stunning views

Visiting the Comox Valley for almost 20 years and I’ve never encountered a home with 360 views of the valley like this one, From the coastal mountains to the island glacier. Breathtaking views

Superb highest quality luxury home with a beautiful garden in a marvelous location. Dale and Don are the original Super Hosts. Absolutely nothing is missing from this house. Traffic at the nearby airport rarely intrudes.

We returned to this beautiful beach house for our second visit this summer, and once again fell in love with it. One of many highlights of this visit was watching a great grey owl that came to perch on a tree just outside of one of the panoramic windows. We were able to watch him for likely 20 minutes, close enough to look into his eyes as he'd swivel his head in our direction. This VRBO is truly exceptional—a beautifully designed home perched above a secluded sandy beach with excellent swimming. Dale and Don are also the most gracious hosts we've ever encountered. We'll definitely be back!

Spectacular ocean front with expansive views

Wonderfully clean & comfortable home outfitted generously in every possible way…including multiple decks with lots of seating, lots of green space for children to run & play. Huge kitchen with large windows to enjoy the ocean views while prepping meals, large windows in ample dining & living room areas w gas fireplace to gather around after watching sunset from the deck Two great bathrooms…super comfy beds Beach time was incredible! Beautiful, relaxing and comfortable

We spent 2 weeks at this beautiful home with the only problem being deciding which deck to view the spectacular vista! The home is well appointed with every thing we could need in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. Dale and Don's home is located close enough to Comox, Cortenay and Nanaimo (a 1+ hour excursion south), but feels like you are on a secluded island. We will definately go back again.

Amazing views!

The views and private beach access from this home are second to none. Our family enjoyed this home from day one. Private and beautiful gardens with an interior to match. The home is well equipped with everything you need. Even on a cool and rainy day we enjoyed our time by the fire reading and watching the waves roll in. The owners are kind and genuinely care about your stay being all you dreamed. We highly recommend this home. Will be back one day soon. Thanks again.

Spectacular Beach Home

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this beautiful beach home. The views and property were nothing short of spectacular. The whole experience exceeded our expectations and we're already looking forward to booking our return trip next year. Our children loved all of the yard space to play games and run around, the home is equipped with many games to keep the family having fun outdoors. The short private trail down to the secluded sandy beach was a very unique experience. We enjoyed sunrises and sunsets on the many decks including my favorite deck perched on the cliff above the beach. We highly recommend booking your stay at Dale and Don's (very warm and welcoming hosts), it will be a vacation you will not soon forget.

Our Comox Getaway

Our week truly was lovely. The property was charming on the outside, modern and comfortable on the inside. The view was spectacular. The beach was a short kid-friendly hike down the cliff, and it was a nice mix of sandy beach and tidal pools for exploring. It was quiet, and the neighbours were friendly. We met the hosts during our stay and they were very friendly, but were not in our way or imposing. We found that some rooms were hot at night but the hosts were available by text and turned on the A/C for us which helped a lot. The area itself was wonderful and we really enjoyed exploring Comox and the nearby towns. We will be back for sure!

A Wonderful Place!

Dale and Don were wonderful hosts - great communication, very friendly. This is an upscale house with gorgeous views. The house is perched high on a bluff and there is a path down to the beach, which was easily walkable with my young kids (perhaps not so much for someone with major mobility issues). There is also a beautifully landscaped yard with games (bocce ball, soccer nets, croquet). My kids couldn't get enough of the rope swing! The kitchen was well stocked and even had an espresso machine, and there were lots of games and books for the kids. We enjoyed seeing the planes flying overhead, ready to land at the airport nearby. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return!

Amazing!

This is our second stay at Dale and Don's beautiful home and again, it was amazing. Their home is spacious, extra clean, very comfortable, with a perfectly equipped kitchen and outdoor barbeque. We travelled with our two daughters who both had their own bedroom. The grounds are exquisite with beautiful gardens and the walk on the beach is so special. This home is a 5 minute drive from the Comox airport and is an easy drive to many quaint towns around, including grocery and liquor stores and shopping. We recommend this property without hesitation and are looking forward to going again! Thank you Dale and Don for your warm welcome, we consider you as our friends!
