The Kenai Peninsula is the playground for South Central Alaska. The heart of the Kenai Peninsula is Cooper Landing. Be our guest in this beautifully appointed Cabin on Kenai Lake right at the mouth of the world famous Kenai River.
The Kenai River is most famous for the Chinook or “King” Salmon run, but it is better known to locals for the spectacular Sockeye “Red” run, and the huge Rainbow Trout.
Our little piece of paradise is centrally located for the entire Peninsula. From this cabin, you are just minutes from the Russian River and the Upper Kenai for world class fly fishing. Drive 30 minutes south and fish the Middle Kenai just south of Skilak Lake for Sockeye or Coho (Silver) Salmon. Further South, and the Lower Kenai offers the biggest King Salmon in the United States.
If you travel east, you can reach Seward on Resurrection Bay in 30 minutes. Seward is the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park and fantastic offshore salmon and halibut fishing, whale watching, and glacier viewing.
If you prefer to hike, there are literally dozens of trailheads within minutes of the cabin.
When you return at the end of the day, enjoy the fire pit on the edge of the lake, or take a kayak out for journey along the shore of the lake.
The cabin is beautifully appointed and sleeps 8. Perfect for families, groups of fisher folks, or adventurers. You will be right at home in our cabin.
Downstairs there is a Living Room with wood burning stove, full kitchen, dining room, and bedroom with a queen size bed and a separate single bed. A full bathroom and Laundry room with washer and dryer complete the main floor.
Upstairs there is another bedroom with a queen size bed, full bath, and a loft area with a double futon and another single bed.
Enjoy the wrap around deck with magnificent view of Kenai Lake and the surrounding mountains, or sit around the lakeside fire pit. There is a nice floating dock for your use and two kayaks available.
Cooper Landing offers many small town treasures. There is a small grocery and liquor store across the street and an excellent restaurant/bar within walking distance.
Having lived in Alaska 17 years, we enjoy fly fishing, boating, hiking, mountain biking, skiing and snow machines.
Mike Faust purchased this cabin in 2012
The fishing and hiking within steps of this cabin makes it uniquely located for an excellent Alaska adventure.

We are sorry that we do not allow pets nor are we handicap accessible. This is a non-smoking cabin, but feel free to light up a cigar around the fire by the lake.
Our family had a great time in Alaska and at Mikes house. Perfect access to the water and to the highway. It was very clean and well taken care of. We will be back!
