Our family is from Northern Wisconsin originally and are now spread out across the country at different points in the year. We enjoy the cabin when we have time and built it as a place to recharge from the daily grind. We enjoy biking, snowmobiling, hunting, hiking, and exploring the area.
This property was built by our family as a labor of love. We have spent countless hours perfecting this space to enjoy and we are happy to share it with you when we're not able to use the space. We hope you enjoy it and care for it as we have.
The loft, the covered front porch, and wood stove are truly the pieces that make this cabin unique and cozy. Enjoy a book or play some tunes as you relax - or break out the art supplies and create something new.
The cabin was amazing! Everything we needed was in the cabin. Our family had a wonderful weekend, and will definitely recommend it to anyone. We had more than enough room for nine people!
A great retreat in the woods ATV paradise. We put on well over 200 miles in 2 days. No trailering required left right from the property. Cozy and quiet.
A great, peaceful and comfortable retreat for our girls get a way. Close by to visit Hayward for the day. Lots of wild life to see on the way to Hayward. Thanks for a wonderful time hope to return next year. A musicians view☺
We spent a long weekend at the Anderson cabin had a wonderful time. The setting is totally private and quiet to the point where we never saw anyone else the entire weekend around the property. The woods are gorgeous with nice little trails that wind around a bit. We also were lucky enough to have a beautiful and clear evening our first night there to enjoy some star gazing. The cabin was outfitted with everything we needed for the weekend and though there was just two of us, it easily could have slept 6-8 comfortably. If you have any handicap you should be aware that you will need to climb a somewhat steep staircase/ladder to the upper loft. There are two other rooms with bunk beds in each that looked quite nice. We really loved the loft and found it to be super comfortable and cozy. Based on one of the reviews we decided to bring a fan in case it got too warm upstairs for us and did find it useful one of the evenings as it was quite warm out and a bit stuffy but we are people that like it cold while sleeping.
Our Border Collie was very appreciative that Kevin was cool with her accompanying us on our mini vacation and she had a blast playing fetch on the big piece of property and walking around the woods.
The location was about a 45 minute easy drive from Bayfield which we visited both Saturday and Sunday and it was fun to throw our bikes on the ferry and cross over to Madeline Island for some peddling and sight seeing. We discussed possibly staying closer to Bayfield but at the end of the day we were happy to return back to the quiet little cabin away from the crowds.
Thanks Kevin and family for renting out your beautiful property!
Our group of 6 adults wanted a place convenient for ATVing and it couldn't have been better! We rode about 200 miles of trails and never had to trailer away from the cabin and we could have kept going, we hardly touched the available trails. The loft ladder was a bit steep for those of us with height issues so it was nice to have a couple of main floor options. The kitchen was well equipped with gear that allowed us to cook for everyone at once. Easy drive to Bayfield for some site seeing.
Our stay here was so amazing! It was so comfortable and peaceful...It was exactly what we needed! Every window was screened in so we didn't experience a bug problem at all. The big fan in the kitchen/dining area provided a nice breeze in the loft as well as the large loft window. I haven't slept that good in a while!
We were in close proximity to Bayfield/Apostle Islands as well as Duluth and Hayward for day trips.
We can't wait to book again next year!
Cabin is located deep in the northern Wisconsin woods. It offers peace and quiet away from the city but is close enough to civilization if you want a nice evening out or want to explore the area as a tourist.
