Beautiful and peaceful getaway

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here several days for our honeymoon. The cabin was the perfect size and very clean! Everything that you would need to cook or grill was provided. The scenery was beautiful. Most importantly, the owner, Billy, was extremely helpful and willing to do whatever was necessary to make sure we had a good time. I would definitely recommend this place to whoever is looking for a cozy getaway.

Hidden Gem

  • 5 of 5

Thanks to the Hart family. After the first day my husband said he wished we were staying another day. Next time we will. So relaxing and watching all the activity on the river was just plain what we needed. Be kind and leave the place the way you find it, it's appreciated. I can't stress how important it is to take everything and anything you will need for your visit. A trip into town would not be the way to spend your time. We love to cook so we took a cast iron skillet and some special tools we know we would need to make salsa, but they have stocked the tiny house pretty well. I do recommend that you take bath soap and 13 gal garbage bags. We took a drying pad with us, you are the dish washer and it saves paper towels and kitchen towel usage. Please respect this wonderful little jewel. We love this special little gem.

We loved it!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the TN River Gorge was exactly what we wanted! We wanted a quiet, beautiful river front property and got exactly that! Chuck Hart was a gracious host and we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know he and his family (including his canine children!) We definitely plan to reserve a weekend this fall!

disappointed

The area is nice. The fishing was fun but it is lacking in what the fully advertise. There isn't a private dock for this cabin and the boats are not easily accessible. The water pressure is minimal and it sits right next to the owners private home. So privacy is lacking. the power to the cabin is hit or miss. The first 2 days there it appeared the power was supplied by devises that was unsafe as it sparked electicity outside and we feared of a fire or electric shock. Also take pictures of everything when you go into the cabin for the first time because if there is anything amiss the owner will call you and blame you for the damage in a not so nice manner. I understand they have to keep things nice but when the lights on the front porch aren't working properly and there is fire and sparks flying from the cabin it's probably not best to accuse your customers of property damage.

Owner's Response: We are very sorry that Holli B. did not have a great time as our 216 previous guests have. We do anything we can to assisting our guest (if needed) in having a wonderful vacation. Please look at our reviews that we are humbly grateful for. Our home is over 500 feet through woods away from cabin. We did have 2 days of storms that bought limbs on power line that local power company fixed with in one hour, two poles away from cabin. No where near the cabin. I do not know why Holli B. would lie like this. It broke our hearts when my Wife and I saw how Holli B. had disrespected the beautiful cedar cabin for her 6 day stay. After cleaning up 6 days worth of undone dishes pots and pans, (with rubber gloves), left across the new counter tops and in sink with mold starting to grow. Then finding under the debris a chip big as a dime out of the stove top and scratches were they were cutting on stove top with knife ( there are two cutting boards in cabin). My wife was crying when she seen it and all the time through cleaning it up with me It took us over 3 hour to clean with bleach. This untruthful review came only after we put in a $150 damage claim.

Awesome getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, dog and I needed a break desperately. This location is a little over 2 hrs from Atlanta, GA and seemed perfect. The prior reviews were spot on; Billy the Owner was so gracious as well as his brother, property was exactly as it showed in the pictures and it was extremely clean. We had such a relaxing time on the canoe, kayaks and just sitting by the lake next to the fire. We would recommend to anyone!
