Great little get away

  • 5 of 5

Very nice cabin, very clean. We had a great time. One thing is the check out times differ from each other on the app verses the sheet in the cabin. I would suggest you make them say the same. We had a great time especially sitting on the river bank Saturday morning drinking coffee. Very peaceful.

One thing I thought was strange was the notes left about the trash. We brought a bottle of wine and a few beers to drink in the evening. When done I put the empties in the trash can. Reading the checkout instructions it told me to take any cans or cigarettes butts to a local gas station. "Not to put them into the trash" That "I do not drink or smoke, so I do not want to smell them" I think that is a little harsh. Almost like if you don't like shrimp, you are not allowed to put the peelings in the trash can.

Don't get me wrong, a GREAT cabin but just a few things I would consider wording different or changing if having the public rent the cabin.

OH a must is to bring food in with you. NO stores no where close that would be able to supply you groceries. Listen to them when they say bring your groceries with you!! LOL

Such a cute cabin!! Very clean and everything you need to cook your meals.

  • 5 of 5

Our vacation was just exactly what we asked for!!! Very secluded and absolutey beautiful views on our very own porch! Watching the boats go by....amazing. Billy was absolutely wonderful. He took us on a tour of the river in his own boat and gave us lots of historical information. Such a pleasure to meet such a wonderful kind person. We couldn't have asked for a nicer getaway. We just wanted to layback and unwind from our busy lives....and that's what we did. There are Lot's of things to do around the area if you must be on the move and Billy can help you with all of those things around Chattanooga and this area. We are very happy with our stay and I think you will be as thrilled as we were!

Billy is a wonderful host who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The cabin has everything you need. It was nice to have a gas grill and a washer and dryer at the cabin, so all you need to bring is food and drinks to enjoy this beautiful setting.

A haven by the lake

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I recently spent three days at the Tennessee River Gorge Island cabin. We immediately were struck by the serenity of the lake setting and eagerly entered the cabin, which is beautifully furnished and has virtually everything you’ll need for your stay.

Attention to detail is obvious. For example, the sheets and towels are of the highest quality, the bed is comfortable, and the cabin’s interior is inviting and warm.

We took all the food we needed, which was a great idea because there is no store nearby. The cabin is stocked with soap, shampoo, a blow dryer, bug spray, paper towels, coffee, etc. The owners have supplied virtually everything you’ll need.

We never left the site until it was time to go home as my husband enjoyed water sports, and I hung my hammock and read the day away.

The owners, Billy and Brad even took us on an early evening cruise on their pontoon boat. We felt welcomed and comfortable, and we will definitely return to this haven by the lake.

AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME!

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a getaway from the stress and hectic pace of our everyday life; and boy, did we ever find it! And absolutely thrilled that we found something this awesome so close to home (1 1/2hrs). The scenery of the TN River Gorge is just breath taking. It was so relaxing to either go out everyday in our boat fishing, or to simply sit on the porch or the river bank. If you need a place to slow down, unplug, and unwind, look no farther than the TN River Gorge Cabin. If you need a definition or picture of good old fashioned customer service, the owner/host (Billy) fits it to a tee. He even treated us to a pontoon boat ride. He gave us tips on fishing in the river, and we were absolutely ecstatic with the 18.5 lb catfish we caught. Do plan on bringing everything you need in relation to food - once you get here, you will NOT want to have to spend time driving somewhere to get anything. It was hard to pull away on our last day. We WILL be back.
