This condo is nestled high (10,000 ft. elevation) in the Kachina Valley between Wheeler and Kachina Peak. It is 1.7 miles up from the main Taos Ski Valley. It is adjacent to the Williams Lake Trail Head and walking distance (7 minutes) to TSV Lift 4 and the delicious guest favorite Bavarian Restaurant. There is a 1.7 mile stretch of a well maintained gravel road that requires 4WD or chains in the winter. Summer travelers will do fine with 2WD/AWD.
The kitchen includes seating for 6, coffee makers (drip - filters included, Keurig, French Press - we love our coffee!!), blender, toaster, large fridge, ice maker/dispenser, water dispenser, microwave, stove top, oven, a wide array of pots, pans (including large pot to boil pasta) and dishes, some pantry staples such as flour, sugar, salt, pepper, steak spice, olive oil, safflower oil, spay oil, wine opener, wine aerator and a large propane grill on the covered deck.
The master suite includes a king size bed, down comforter, walk in closet, dresser, flat screen TV, large bathroom with jetted tub and separate walk in shower, large vanity with single sink. Windows provide views into the tall pines.
SECOND BEDROOM/HOUSE BATH (sleeps 3)
The second bedroom includes a queen size bed with a twin bunk above finished with down comforters on both, large closet and pocket door access to house bath. House bath includes a large tub/shower and pedestal sink.
The condo includes a washer and dryer. Laundry soap and dryer sheets are included. There is also an iron and ironing board.
ROLL AWAY TWIN BED
The condo will accommodate a 6th person on a twin roll away bed.
We subscribe to DirectTV (150 channel premium package). There is a 53' wall mounted flat screen in the family room and a 32' flat screen in the master suite. The condo has WIFI. Connect your iPhone or other device to a JBL speaker deck via an iPhone connector or AUX cable and listen to your tunes. BluRay/DVD player and several kid friendly movies.
There is an over-sized one car garage available to our guests. Unload your bikes and ski equipment and store it along with your automobile in the heated garage. Some super-sized SUV's/Trucks might not fit length wise. There is a ski rack and boot drying rack along with a seating area to change into your boots. In addition to the radiant floor heat, we also have a space heater to ensure boots are cozy in the morning.
MAIN LIVING AREA
The main living area includes very cozy furniture and a gas log fireplace. A large window and sliding door provide amazing views of the Kachina and Wheeler Peaks.
A large covered deck has a propane grill, table and seating for 4.

About Kyle Zottnick
Kyle and Crystal, along with a few family members, pooled resources to purchase this awesome Taos Ski Valley condo late summer of 2014. Recently married, we are a combined family with our teen base ball player, Shane and a Siberian Husky named Timber. We reside in Albuquerque, NM and frequently enjoy the condo.

Why Kyle Zottnick chose Arroyo Seco
We’ve been skiers for three decades and Taos was always a ski area we enjoyed coming to every year. The ski area is large and world class but it has a small town local vibe. There are year round activities up in the valley so we found ourselves looking just as forward to our summer visits. We probably became silly excited about this place during our summer and winter lunches on the deck of the Bavarian. There is nothing like the feel of the warm sun in the cool mountain air. The large deck at the Bavarian is rustic and sun drenched. The views of Kachina and Wheeler are incredible. A little walk through the trees behind the Bavarian is our Wheeler Peak condo. The windows in the family room look out past the covered deck up into the Williams Lake valley. It’s incredible to be able to enjoy that magical mountain experience from the condo now too.
What makes this Condo unique
Use of the owners over sized garage will ease the burden of having to lug your skies, boots, bikes, or gear up to the condo. In the garage you will find a heated space with ample room for your automobile too. No scraping snow and ice off your vehicle upon departure and no worries about locking up your bikes and skies.
Sports & Adventure Activities
Excellent Spring Break Experience!
Our family of 5 had a wonderful experience! It was as if the owners anticipated our every need. The condo was convenient, clean, and very well provisioned. We were comfortable and happy! With novice skiers in the family we drove each day to the base to the ski school. It was an easy drive each day and parking was no problem. We mostly ate in and cooked comfort food in the well equipped kitchen. We spent an evening at the Bavarian for a meal that was amazing and a highlight of the trip. The condo was perfect for quality family time! We would love to return!

We had a wonderful time staying in this rental at Taos!
This was the best stocked rental on VRBO and HomeAway that we have rented. They supplied plenty of extra towels, pillows, linens, etc. They were also well stocked on items such as toilet paper, paper towels, tinfoil, kleenex, plastic wrap, dish detergent, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, and more.
The rental is within walking distance to a wonderful German restaurant and the bottom of a ski lift. If you get your equipment and lift tickets early you don't have to go to the base of the mountain to start skiing. We liked that the condo was not in a crowded area but was still convenient for skiing. The heated garage was such a nice perk. At the end of the day you can take your ski boots off in the chairs provided in the garage and not have to lug them around.
They are also very dog friendly. Our dog came with us and had a great time. The condo has several dog beds, dog dishes, and bags for cleaning up after them on your walks. Our dog probably had as much fun as we did.
Great amenities - it's like staying at your best friend's condo
This condominium has great amenities such as extra towels, shampoo, hand cream, books, DVD's, board games, placemats, tablecloths, an extremely well stocked kitchen with everything from a Keurig coffee maker, crockpot and condiments to a heated garage with chairs in it and a ski boot drying rack. It's a 10-minute walk to the ski lift and near the Bavarian which is a wonderful restaurant. You really do need a 4-wheel drive or chains to get up the driveway to the condo - they are not kidding about this! It is clean and well-maintained - we had absolutely no issues while staying here. I would highly recommend it.
Wonderful Condo - Beautiful Views!
We stayed at this beautiful condo the first week of February 2018. We felt like we were at the top of the world! We skied and the snow was better then we thought it would be. It was an easy walk to the Bavarian Inn and the Wheeler Trail head for nice walks to lift 4 (which was not open) and to the lake. The cat-track down to the base area was perfect. The condo is exactly as described and the view is even better. We had beautiful days we could sit outside on the deck. It was very relaxing and just what we needed! We would defiantly stay again - we love Taos and the surrounding area.
Great condo, great view and attention to the details
Our family of 4 really enjoyed the long weekend in Taos Ski Valley. The condo is a nice size and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen had everything that we needed. I was most impressed with the small things that the owners made available, including zip ties for ski passes, extra ski area maps and soft blankets in the living room.

We loved our stay in Taos Ski Valley! This condo is very well appointed, spacious, and super organized. It was like being at home but in the mountains. We didn't have a lot of snow but the views were beautiful.

Last two miles to condo is a well traveled gravel road. 2WD okay for summer. 4WD is required in the winter.

Additional information about rental rates
TSV Lodging tax plus NM gross receipts tax combined total 15%. We will consider shorter stays but at a higher rate to accommodate fixed cleaning fee. A $250 refundable security deposit is required. We have a Pet Addendum for those bringing pets.
