Like the location. Property was well kept and clean. No TVs in the bedrooms. Dog barked upstairs the first hour or so we were ther but quit soon thereafter.

Island stay

It was the perfect size.The unit is definitely dated but that didn’t bother us as much as the smell. It had an old mildew smell that we could not get rid of. We could not get any of the windows open. I would stay here again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I enjoyed most of what the apartment had to offer. We booked the apartment for 6 adults. The picture showed the bedroom with the two bunk beds as much larger than it actually was. The women found it claustrophobic with bareley enough room to walk between the two bunk beds. If the picture had shown the room with the ladders attached to the beds we would have known that the rental was not for us.

Wonderful Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rental was easy. Check in was simple. Apartment was in a great central location. We had a few issues with the remotes all having dead batteries. We bought batteries but still could never get the cable to work. Internet was very spotty. Lastly, the kitchen sink leaks and there is a pan catching water underneath. We did not know this until it overflowed. We called the realty company a few times and left messages after the power went out and the internet was out and we were concerned about the sink but never got a call back. Both myself and my husband left messages on different days with our cell numbers to call. I have rented from Jekyll Realty for years and never had a problem getting in touch with someone. It was fine because we disconnected for the week. But inconvenient if you want to watch a show or, like me, you needed to work remotely some and couldn't get on the internet. I have stayed in unit 1 next door and it was much more updated. This unit has no washer/dryer and no dishwasher fyi. The floor is old 1970s tile. But it was quaint and comfy...just outdated. But this is true for many rental properties on Jekyll and can be part of the charm.

Very please with unit. Impressed with how the kitchen was stocked with everything needed and then some. happy with cleanliness. Owner does need to breakdown and put in a new floor. Shower controls could use an upgrade. One problem with our after hours arrival. I notified Jekyll Management 4 days before arrival and the day of arrival. Both times was assured the unit would be unlocked and lights on for our 9pm arrival. Well the unit was not unlocked. Fortunately the after hours emergency number worked and the unit was opened for us after a brief delay. All in all we really liked the unit, and will book it again.

Grandma's Nook

What a lovely stay. Great location, tucked into a neighborhood among Spanish moss. A humble and cosy abode. I do plan to return, as it is quite affordable.

The staff at Jekyll Reality were amazing. They called us on our way and said the property was ready early and we’re welcome to check in. Upon our arrival at their office, they were very professional and had us on our way in minutes. However, I can not say many good things about it. The only thing it has going for it is the location. Upon arriving there was sand on the furniture and smelt horrible like mildew. We actually went and bought air fresheners. As mentioned in other reviews, the floor is in horrible shape with tiles missing and loose. You have to watch your step in several places. The air conditioner works great but is so loud it is hard to sleep. We had the opportunity to walk thru the apartment next door and it was immaculate. I would highly recommend getting Apt 2 if you are visiting.

Love the island. The CW is very close to the beach. We walked to the beach everyday. The CW needs to be updated especially the kitchen and the bathroom. the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. When we first entered, the apartment smelled musty and needed to be aired out. After additional cleaning on my part and candles, the smell faded. The neighbors were friendly and the location very quiet. Would stay again. The staff at Jekyll Realty really made this a great experience. We called at the last minute and they were very helpful, courteous, and friendly. Very thankful for their kindness.

If you are looking for a no frills place close to the beach then this would fit the bill. This is such an easy walk to the beach maybe 5 mins. We walked it with our 4 kids (youngest is 8) and they all did fine. The bedrooms were surprisingly spacious and were comfortable for our family of 6. The kitchen and bathroom are very dated and the shower was a bit gross with mold under the shower knobs and on the shower curtain. Living room furniture was a wicker set that looked like it was supposed to be outdoor furniture and wasn’t very comfortable. We did not spend much time in the apartment though since being outside is what JI is all about! I would not choose this property again and I only booked it since it was last minute. Not having a dishwasher or washer/dryer was difficult with our large family. Jekyll Reality was great to work with and will use them for our future trips!

Most expensive low quality apartment I have ever stayed in

The tile was loose and sliding freely on the floor. The recliner was broken and did not recline. The living room furniture was wicker style and uncomfortable. The water to the residence smelled awful. The toilet had to be flushed 4 or 5 times to make it go down. The price was extremely high for a very low end stay. Would not stay there again.

We absolutely loved the location! It was so close to everything we needed! The apartment was very clean but also very outdated. Floor "tiles" (not sure what kind of flooring it is...also very outdated!) were coming up. Other reviews said the beds were uncomfortable, so I was concerned about that as I don't sleep very well anyway, but we thought they were comfortable enough. Keep in mind there is no dishwasher, so the dishes don't get "sanitized" after each guest, but the dishes we used appeared to be clean. Although the apartment is very outdated, the price was what we needed, so "you get what you pay for." The most important thing to me is that it was clean when we arrived, so I don't really care that it was outdated, as it served it's purpose for us, but I just want to inform others who are viewing it as a to possibility to rent. (BTW, our purpose for being at Jekyll was for our son's high school State golf tourney, & he won low medalist for 6A Georgia State championship! Praise God! Proud mom here!😊)

Great stay

Perfectly located in a small neighborhood. Easy 5 minute walk to the beach. The couch has changed from the pictures but still decently comfortable. The island has a lot of see. I would stay at this place again!

Very disappointing

Reviewer Comments: The house was suppose to be pet free, but there was animal hair on the rugs. The air vents are covered in dust . The kitchen is so small. I don’t know how anyone can fix a meal in that room. The king bed was awful. When we first arrived there was some kind of unidentifiable pieces of dirt on the mattress. The tub would not drain water after showering. I do not recommend this rental. After 8 years of renting at Jekyll thief is by far my worst experience.

Close to everything

We liked the quiet Neighborhood. We also loved being able to walk to the beach in less than five minutes. We were also able to rent bikes and had easy access to the beautiful historic district in just a few minutes. We had a great time.

Jekyll Island Quadraplex

The location and price of this property were the two strongest attributes. We were able to easily bike to and from both sides of the island, enjoying four sunrise/sunset days in paradise with our all-adult family of 5. The beds were comfortable and front porch was lovely for relaxing in the heat of the afternoon. We were in the middle of a neighborhood, which added extra charm to our stay. A dishwasher would definitely be a nice addition if you can find a way to squeeze one into the tiny kitchen. We shall return. Thank you.

Needs serious housekeeping done!

When we checked in the rental was dirty. There is absolutely no parking. The rental company is really nice and the representative was wonderful ❤️. But that property needs some serious updates and work on the shower, floors, and kitchen. The water barley runs out and runs out of hot water quick. Ms. Katherine that lives next door is the sweetest lady. My grandson just loved her❤️. We ate out on all of our meals because I was very uncomfortable with the kitchen. Please clean apartment and update it.

We came for the beach and definitely enjoyed the 5 minute walk to get into the sand and water. The king bed and living room furniture left a lot to be desired however. Very old and worn. The bed had led ta from all the use and was not comfortable and the furniture was the same. Will return if updated.
