This is the perfect home for your family reunion or even a larger family vacation getaway.
The pavered driveway leads to an elegant, covered walkway. Walk through the grand front doors and the entry itself is stunning. The home is graced with beautiful Japanense artwork throughout and the furnishings are comfortable and provide more than enough sitting and dining room seating for your large goup.
The kitchen opens to a formal dining room on one side and an informal dining space on the other, both of which sit between 8-12. The living room is open to the kitchen and informal dining area and is spacious and has a small eating bar. For convenience for your large group, the kitchen has two dishwashers and two ovens plus a large refrigerator in the kitchen and a smaller one in the garage. One of two laundry areas is also off the kitchen.
The living room is beautifully decorated in bright colors to match the large and stunning artwork. A grand piano, large sectional couch, wood burning lava rock fireplace and gorgeous hardwoods complement each other.
Down the hallway, past an extensive walled library, is the large grand master king suite with his and her bathrooms, connected by a large walk-in shower. There is a large soaker tub on 'her' side. A sitting area with a 47' flat screen, desk and walk-in closet are all features of this room.
Upstairs is a second king master suite, complete with a sitting area, balcony, dressing area and bath with a shower.
Down the stairs to the lower level, immediately to your left is a king suite, which connects with a bathroom to a large room with two twins, a pool table, wet bar and wood stove.
There is a large and inviting family room with a sectional couch, television and fireplace for a second gathering area. Off that room is a second laundry room, sauna and bathroom.
A door to the outside leads to the hot tub and deck areas.
A solariumed office with conference table is right outside the family room. Bright and sunny, great for working or just quiet reading.
Go down the long hallway and you come to a room your kids will talk about for a long time, the 'Bunk House'. Five twin beds, each with their own cubby and some great western artwork and a personal colored towel set for their use while at the home. There is a bathroom inside the bunk house with a shower behind one door, a toilet behind another and a large 'trough' sink! Off that room is a play, sitting area for the kids to enjoy.
Of the bunk house is a queen bedroom with sitting area which leads outside.
What a great slice of the Black Butte experience! Secluded and a football size patch of grass all your own to enjoy, this home has is all and will leave you with some wonderful memories.
This house fit our family perfectly! It had everything we needed for a great vacation!
We traveled to Black Butte for a family wedding in Bend. This home was the perfect gathering place for the entire family and became the focal point for our time together, even the "locals" ended up spending most of their time at the ranch. The home is beautiful and amazingly well appointed. It has every amenity you could ask for. The large and fully stocked kitchen is perfect for preparing meals for a good sized group. The ample seating areas had plenty of room for everyone. The 4 dishwasher drawers made keeping up with the cleanup a breeze.
The multiple separate sleeping areas provided plenty of space and privacy and the "bunkroom" was the highlight of the house for the small children. Everyone in our group commented about how comfortable the beds were. A pleasant surprise was the hundreds of books for all ages to read while we were there.
The home had detailed information provided about the area and the amenities. One small thing to be aware of is the need to plan a little extra time for travel to other destinations. The home is on the far edge of Black Butte. For us the additional peace and quiet was a plus and being able to look out over the expansive back yard and into the National Forest was worth it.
The property managers were great. They called one morning to see if a maintenance person could come look at some work they were hoping to have done. Everyone was very professional and courteous and very focused on not causing any inconvenience to our stay. It really exemplifies how focused they are on maintaining the home in perfect condition.
We would absolutely recommend this incredible home and are already planning on making this a family reunion tradition.
15 of us just enjoyed a glorious week at Black Butte Ranch and this lovely home. My husband and I have been staying at the ranch for 40 years and we have never stayed at such a wonderful home. The decor is lovely, the beds and baths clean and the kitchen very well stocked. Our family had a wonderful time and made many memories here. We hope to return in the next year or so. I highly recommend this home and its peaceful location.
