Very quiet and comfortable retreat
Friendly, spacious, comfortable layout, great beds, very user friendly kitchen well equipped. Eric left us a bottle of wine which we used to host a friend for thanksgiving dinner, thoughtful touch. Easy access to JT the town but far enough away to feel you're away, and beautiful open space views. If you plan to visit the Integratron, this is a close location. We saw two roadrunners while enjoying the two sets of outdoor furniture eating breakfast with a view.
Great stay under the Milky Way!!
We decided to plan a get-away weekend to Joshua Tree for some climbing and Star-gazing. House was perfectly set up for our needs. They have plenty of outdoor seating and a great telescope for your use!! In a dark setting, away from town and outdoor lighting / we had great viewing conditions! Quick drive into town for eating or antiquing - and park was only a few turns down the road. House and kitchen had everything we needed for comfort and ease. House wasn’t too fussy or difficult to keep clean. Homeowner was available and helpful if we ever needed anything. Make sure to plan a trip to Pappy and Harriet’s - always a favorite stop when we’re out this way. Also, book yourself or your group a climb with Cliffhangers - they will hand-craft an adventure suited to your abilities - you’ll have the true JT experience you won’t forget! The drive over back roads from this house was so Scenic! You really get the feel of the area. Don’t stay in a dumb hotel - that could be in Ohio or New Jersey until you look outside! Come stay HERE for the real JT Experience!
Perfect weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle
Milky way property was everything we wanted. Quiet, peaceful, and much cozier than the photos even suggest. The house has everything you need, and is well stocked with games for quiet evenings at home. A short and easy drive from downtown J Tree meant more quiet and greater feeling of getting away from it all. Eric's house instructions were easy to understand. Great trip!
Hey, glad to have you! Thanks for leaving the house in god shape for me, always appreciated! We love it out there on the mesa, and I'm glad you liked it too.
The property was good. Location offers plenty of tranquility. Perfect for our family. Loved hiking in the hills close by. Well stocked pantry and toiletries. Unique collection of DVDs and music. the flooring needs some repair, bathroom needs a lock. Overall a wonderful getaway!
Thanks for your review! I'll address the floor--just needs another coat of varnish in places, and the bathroom knob does lock--just pouch it in and turn it. Thanks for leaving the place so clean, really helped me out in this busy season.
We had a great stay here. The property was as described, the directions were easy to follow, and the hosts were very responsive.
We were greeted by an immaculate house when we entered. Everything we needed was there and operable, basically a very clean and comfortable house. Our stays in Joshua Tree are generally quiet, but this property, being well outside of town was especially quiet which was just what I was seeking. It was quiet once the howling of the extremely high winds died down. But the wind too was interesting--sounding like a winter blizzard in the NE but without the freezing temperatures and snow. Overall we had a very pleasant stay at the house, in the Park, and exploring Noah Purifoy's very nearby desert museum.
Joshua Tree National Park, is , of course a big attraction. You'll be happy just wandering the desert dirt roads around the house, too.
