Wonderful cottage on the Indian River!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time here even though the weather didn't cooperate the first couple of days......spent one day in jammies! Very clean, cozy and well decorated. It was everything we were hoping for and more. Beautiful views and great location. Dorene was awesome to deal with - she even let us add an extra day. We are already beginning to plan our next stay here!

I loved my stay at the River's Edge! Everything was perfect.

  • 5 of 5

When I first walked into the home, I was really impressed with everything from the paint colors to the furniture to the throw pillows. The bed was supremely comfortable. And that view... wow!

We stayed for just three nights, but I wish we'd been able to plan for longer. This is a place where just being there is a vacation, even though there are plenty of activities and places to explore nearby.

There's a good grocery market just a few miles away, a bar down the road, a grill, a hot tub, and a fire pit--what more could you ask for? Between the privacy fences and woods, there were no concerns about privacy. We paddle boated on the lake Sunday morning and saw swans. I traveled with my husband and dog, but I think this would work for a small family or two couples as well.

Owner's Response: I'm so glad these repeat guests enjoyed themselves and they are 100% correct as this home yields awesome views, makes you feel relaxed immediately just walking in the door, puts you in vacation-mode and home is right in the middle of just about everything and anything imaginable to do....if you even want to leave the home! We usually just stay put, bring some food, beverages and enjoy the home and river front. We love going on the paddleboat which goes pretty fast and wait till you see all the eagles, swans, loons, otter, fish....list goes on and on. Water is crystal clear will see some HUGE fish. We've seen a Sturgeon before too...big one went right under our paddleboat....couldn't miss it because of the size of it!

Northern Michigan Paradise

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time exploring the river and lake while staying at the cabin. Being able to dock our boat at the property was very convenient. We brought our dog with us so the fenced in yard was a huge bonus. The location, hot tub, furniture, cooking utensils and spices were all great. We loved everything about this cabin. We will be planning a trip back soon!

Terrific week up north on the River

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful property with a great view out the windows to watch wildlife and river traffic. So relaxing. House was perfectly appointed with all the basics and the owner was considerate and engaged for any needs but respected your privacy. Great fenced in yard and dock at the river. Everything you would need to have a great week up north. Highly recommend.

Wonderful getaway at Rivers Edge!

  • 5 of 5

What an amazing cabin! Had everything we needed plus some. The hot tub looking out on the water is heavenly. We have 3 long haired chihuahuas and they were very relaxed and enjoyed their time at the cabin as well. Fenced in on both sides! We will be coming back I'm sure of it. Great area, plus short drive to petoskey and to the U.P, really had a wonderful weekend. Thank you Dorene for the quick feedback and letting us stay at this beautiful place.
