2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths Plus a Den. Huge Glass Wall Overlooks Pool and the Ocean.

This 2 bedroom, 2 bath, high end condo is in a great location in PV. Up on the hill you look down on the ocean and the large infinity pool. Sit in the pool and enjoy the views.

This is a private home that we purchased new and was a private residence. We made it available for rental in 2015. We rent on occasion to off set our maintenance costs.

The unit is in a building with many amenities including an amazing gym, stunning pool, maintenance staff and security. Grounds are kept immaculate, and getting assistance for things like taxi's is a breeze. We also have a local property manager.

THE AREA

It is a 5-10 minute walk to the ocean and another few minutes more to the boardwalk. The boardwalk is a great place to walk, and people watch, in the evening with outdoor entertainment, ice cream stands, and stores and restaurants of all types. Along the way to the boardwalk there are min-marts and plenty of restaurants to try out.

While there are almost always taxi's right outside the building, I recommend walking to town for dinner (downhill) and taking a taxi back in the evening ($4-7 USD). If you elect to stay in, you have a mini-mart just down the block.

This unit is one of about 80 in the complex. The owners are predominately US and Canadian expats. About 20% of the owners live in their units year round, a small percentage of the units are set up as long term rentals, and most of the remaining owners come and go, like us. The complex has a staff that maintains the grounds and provides security. The unit has a dedicated parking spot if you have a car or are looking for a long term rental.

THE UNIT

Perfect for a family or couples on vacation. The quiet end unit has huge glass windows at the front of the unit (i.e. facing the ocean). The entire wall is made of glass and opens to a view of the pool and the ocean. Most people open the sliding glass wall and leave it open 24/7. There is a large balcony with a propane BBQ and table for eating/entertaining or chairs for just sitting and enjoying the view.

The master bedroom has a glass wall leading to the deck that slides open. Like the living room, if also faces the ocean. The master bedroom also has a beautiful master bath with his and her sinks, a tile shower and separate bath. There are walk in closets in both bedrooms.

The second bedroom has an attached bathroom, walk in closet and small balcony attached. The balcony runs along the side of the house but we rarely use it, opting for the front balcony that has the better views.

This was a private home, so cooking was important to us and the kitchen is fully functional. Granite counters with stainless steel appliances. Dishes, pots/pans, silverware, is all there. Although not shown in the photos, there is a microwave, oven, 5 burner gas stove, etc.

The den, which we rarely use, has a futon, flat screen, Wii, and Satellite TV. There is WiFi, DVD player, Wii, Mexican land line and a US phone number (VOIP).

Although not in photos, there is a washer and dryer in the utility room next to the den. Its not particularly photogenic but it has full sized machines and is stocked with cleaning supplies. We recently upgraded the bed in the master to a king size bed which looks better than photos which show the old bed. We also put in a new leather sofa in the living room (not pictured).

We typically have maid service come every week. Additional servicing can be arranged.

My mother was a global traveler. When she retired she decided to settle in Mexico, despite not speaking Spanish. When she found Paramount Bay she fell in love with the area and made it her home. She passed away in California in 2014. I made the trip to PV to clear our her things and fell in love with the unit. You walk in and within 30 seconds you feel like you are on vacation and the relaxation sets in. We had intended to sell the unit, but decided to keep it a few years to enjoy it. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Notes:
The security building requires all guests to sign a form acknowledging condo rules (e.g., pool hours, no glass at pool, etc.). We will also supply renters with a rental agreement that confirms the details of the rental. We have an American property manager who is available for assistance should anything be needed.

Overall a nice complex

This condo is a nice size with a good view of the pool (although no sun during this time of year). Under the kitchen sink has not been cleaned for some time and could use attention. The BBQ propane tank was empty when we arrived and needed delivery service bring some out. I was also surprised that we were charged for electricity, felt a bit nickled and dimed after paying $2350 for the week then tacking on another $16 for elec. Ice maker is slow so be sure to get some bags. Several of the blinds did not work which was a bit uncomfortable to my wife with the lack of privacy.

The building is secure and has a wonderful staff, the grounds and pool are clean and maintained. We walked down to the beach and taxi back as we always bought something and didn't care much for walking uphill. Taxi was 50 peso from beach back to the condo.

Next time in PV we will stay more in town, a lot of good options.

Our home away from home

Just returned home from 3 months in Paradise. Our Paramount Bay condo was wonderful. We love everything about Puerto Vallarta and Paramount Bay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Wonderfully relaxing stay!

We've just spent 3 weeks at this beautifully appointed apartment. From the moment we walked in, we were delighted with its luxurious good taste. The living room is elegant, yet homely and the kitchen contains everything you require for cooking at home. The beds are extremely comfortable and the terrace is a great place to relax and enjoy the wonderful view of the large palm tree flanked infinity pool and the ocean.

Peter, the owner and Pam, the property manager are very easy to deal with and queries and requests are speedily dealt with. Our flight from the UK was delayed by 3 hours but Pam was waiting with a smile to welcome us and show us around the apartment.

Paramount Bay is a splendid condo complex and the owners and renters tend to be more mature. They are gregarious and made us feel most welcome; we had many a friendly chat in the beautiful pool. It is not a party spot however, and people are respectful; noise levels are low.

It's an easy walk to town but taxis are reasonable at 50 pesos, We tended to walk down via the beach or Calle Santa Barbara and catch a taxi back. We had a wonderful holiday and I'm sure you will too!

Paramount Bay

We stayed at Paramount Bay for a month and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is beautiful and very well appointed. The view from the terrace, of the pool and the bay, is spectacular. The complex has a very well equipped gym and the infinity pool is fabulous. The staff are very friendly and professional. Although the condo is up the hill, the walk into town and to surrounding beaches is relatively short (10 to 15 minutes). Taxi service is cheap and buses run frequently. We really enjoyed going into town every day to sample the local foods and to pick up fresh seafood. Peter, the owner, and Pam, the property manager were very accommodating and always available to answer questions. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and worry free holiday. Thank you Peter and Pam!

Security Deposit of $500 (USD) paid at time of arrival in cash unless you have elected VRBO's security option. Returned in cash after walk through following rental.
